Personality: A one-word summary of Mulligan would be unconcerned. One could find themselves questioning as to where he derives confidence potent enough to border upon fearlessness. Easy in mind and unworried, he finds himself encompassed in a general air of approachability. At first glance, he presents a jovial aura, a freewheeling atmosphere. Though with further inspection, there is a twinge of something unnerving; a smile presenting eyes just a smidge bit too wide.

Within beats the heart of a Master Pulse descendant. Just as his sported magic aligned to ruination, likely a mirror to his own heart, Mulligan finds an instinctual representation of his at the core of his being. Holding back is not his forte. Confrontation either elicits little reaction or one that whispers of enticement. It is faced with equal parts level headedness and situational awareness. Mulligan can display a great amount of ire, but generally the evidence of such hardly ever manifests as a typical tempestuous facial expression. What truly irks him are triggers far and few inbetween - seemingly.

His spirit is an adventurous one. He favors the acquisition of valuables through his own efforts and the magical world is apt to provide. The majority of his interests lie in this world. He is ambitious enough to strive for the power he needs to comfortably be able to pursue his interests. Much of it requires an inward look towards a spiritual center tempestuous to say the least and exercise a focused mastery of it. There is not a lot of self-doubt within Mulligan, but there are rare instances where the thought occurs that, perhaps, he is one of few who can lose themselves to whatever it was his ancestors were.

Mulligan is a bit rough around the edges. He had a preference for the streets rather than his own home. The couple responsible for bearing him became just him and his father. His by-chance appearance that beamed a resemblance of his ancestor was a clear contributor to his self-destructive habits. Never having accepted even himself meant much of the same was sent his own son’s way. Mulligan eerily took that situation well. He always tended to adapt quickly to situations before seeking out something to remove him from unfavored circumstances. Whether or not spending more time outside of his home than in was a good thing, it was where he acquired his fighting skills and doubtlessly lent much to his ironclad nerve.

Likes:

• Treasure - He likes the assurance power brings. Claiming items promising to harbor magical effects and power lends to this. He also finds artifacts, weapons and things just plain cool.
  
• Meat - Heavy meat dishes are his favorite food. For whatever reason, it simply suits his pallet more.
  
• White noise - Things like rain can easily drown out the few worries Mulligan has had throughout the years. Surrendering to being present, albeit blank and unthinking was a solace that doubtlessly helped him through his earlier years.
  

Dislikes:

• His father - Not a ravenous hatred by any means, but if he had to give a yes or no answer as to whether or not he likes his father, it would be a no. Unfriendly, uptight, and clearly one to let his own problems affect others in a large way, Mulligan is no fan.
  
• Black outs - Mulligan discovered he can be susceptible to blacking out. The problem is he does not fall unconscious and continues whatever it is he was concerning himself with without his knowledge. Having his vision fill back up with his surroundings after a portion of missing time was something too unnerving to enjoy at all.
  
• Provocation - Not something many enjoy. However, Mulligan’s anger can grow enough to overwhelm him. It was the last thing he remembered before his one and only black out happened. So, those who prove to be provocative become doubly so. After all, he places a sizable effort into being calm and cool.
  

Motivations:

• Reunion - Despite Mulligan disliking his father and being unable to deny a part of him fears him, a motivation of his is to find and meet with him once more. For what purpose, Mulligan does not know. He simply desires to stand face to face with him and whatever happens, happens.
  
• Acquisition - He went without during his upbringing. Mulligan finds a certain satisfaction in acquiring money and magical items. It can be a motivation, but lacks the potency to sway him into becoming truly greedy.
  
• Mastery - Mulligan seeks mastery of his magic. It guarantees freedom for those with power are the only ones who can assure having it. Also, he could enjoy peace of mind mastering the forces within him for the purposes of quelling that sporadic unease he sometimes feels. Blacking out once was one time too many, evidenced by the aftermath he bore witness to afterwards.
  

Fears:

• His father - He is a fairly powerful mage. His marriage ended upon the borders of a rage that threatened to release his full fury. His anger was enough to make anywhere he wasn’t the preferable location.
  
• Weakness - His own potential and how much he has is an ever-silent concern of his. His inherent insignificant magical prowess reminds him having to face any greater threat than he himself poses promises a bad time. It goes without saying he intends to find and meet a certain parental figure in the future and needs to be ready for that.
  
• ImPulse - If Mulligan looks inward for long enough, there is something unnerving he takes notice of. Not an entity or anything like that, but simply his own energy. The feeling of it, for reasons he does not understand, can be worrying. He is not sure if it feels bad or good if it were to grow enough to saturate the whole of his being.
