History:
Obi hails from the Hiyumi Clan from Midi, a small clan that has focused on mastering the art of archery for combat, particularly with the use of arrows created from flames. While they aren’t large enough or powerful enough to have any sort of influence within Midi, the Hiyumi Clan are still reputable enough to be known for their archery skills. A few clan members were famous within Midi’s long tapestry of history and her warriors, but it wasn’t substantial enough to carry any lasting impact. That said, the Hiyumi Clan are fiercely proud of their heritage, to the point where all clan members are only allowed to practice the clan’s archery skills and nothing else.

Enter Obi Hinata, a youth from the Hiyumi Clan, who coincidentally got infatuated with close combat martial arts after having witnessed the gentle grace and powerful might of a traveling vagabond in a town that neighbored the one his clan was based at. It wasn’t sure if it was fate at work or pure coincidence, but at the same time that Obi showed his interest to learn, the traveling vagabond was also struck with a whim to receive a disciple. Obi was quickly accepted as a disciple, but he would only be taught for only one year and nothing more. After that one year, the traveling vagabond would continue his travels. The next meeting between master and student would be up to fate.

After the one year was up, Obi would continue to practice in secret, his clan and family unaware of his rapid development in combat arts, a growth that surpassed his current growth in the Hiyumi Clan archery arts. However, the cat would get out of the bag sooner or later. During a mission, Obi and four clan members were caught in an encirclement. Lacking the firepower required to break out and with all of them severely injured, Obi was left with no choice but to use his combat arts, catching the assailants by surprise and successfully carved a way out for himself and his squad.

All five managed to return to their clan safely, but the failure of the mission wasn’t the key point. The clan leaders were enraged that one of their own had broken their clan laws, practiced something that was not part of the Hiyumi clan’s teachings, despite that very combat art that Obi had learnt being instrumental to their survival. His family buckled under the pressure of the entire clan and as a result, Obi was personally exiled by his father in a bid to appease the clan’s rage.

Personality:
Since young, Obi had always had a mild temperament. He wasn’t particularly stoic nor was he easily excitable. However, there is a streak of rashness within him that prompts him to act on his emotions often, which he is very much aware of and it is something he strives to keep in check. He is also quite simple minded, to the point where he could have a very one-track mind about certain things. This is especially true after he was exposed to the world of close combat, where his desire to improve and get better and stronger burns fiercely. He is constantly only thinking of how to train to get better, what other skills he could learn to make him a better warrior, and who is stronger that he could challenge to grow. He is extremely fond of challenging others to test himself against them, but he does it with no ill intent, purely wanting to exchange moves and tactics so that he can get better.

His passion to fight is demonstrated through his impressive display of tenacity stemming from his constant desire to improve his abilities. Obi fights with great fortitude in the face of adversity and thus doesn't give up easily. He also doesn’t get affected by negative emotions easily, possessing an uncanny ability to turn even the most negative of things into a positive one.

Obi possesses a friendly and straightforward personality towards people, allowing him to befriend most people easily. His straightforwardness allows him to break the shells of the quietest people, allowing him to connect and relate with them.

Obi also suffers from nervous laughter, where he would naturally grin whenever he is nervous, stressed, angered or uncomfortable. Combined with his sharp teeth, those who don't know him would assume it as him taunting them with a menacing smirk. While it would occasionally cause him some trouble when trying to befriend someone, it aggravates those who are fighting him, thinking that he’s looking down on them. This normally translates into originally friendly duels becoming deathmatches over hurt dignity.

• Obi likes to sit around and lounge in high places, usually the roof or in tree branches, when he’s not training
  
• Despite his slim build, Obi loves to eat and can a lot, capable of scarfing down food without having to care for his figure due to an abnormally high metabolism
