Almost immediately a former thought crossed her mind. It had to be asked. "By the way, have you seen a lion anywhere around here?" She asked, knowing full well that it was likely to not get an answer. It was worth a try though. Anhur's well being was very important and at that point, he was more likely to find her than the other way around. "I am uncertain which form he would be in right now but both should be very obvious of the type of animal."
The guard raised the blade he held and struck the bars. "Silence!" It was at that moment the question of where her lion companion was at was answered. As the man shouted a roar soon followed, overpowering the man's intimidation and whatever little power he had as a guard with his own. A lion was now there. Not in the flaming four-legged version that existed before and during the sandstorm, but of his warrior version that could have easily passed for a beastly Joyan.
It had all happened quickly. The man had started to turn around the moment the roar echoed through the cavern but that was all he had time to do. Before he could use his blade to block a flying spear had already pierced through his shoulder. The thrown weapon had sailed through the air with such force that the man did not act as a suitable blockade. He was taken with it, only coming to a stop once the cavern wall had been reached. There, the tip of the spear forced its way into the wall and remained there, making the impaled man the newest wall ornament.
A trail of blood now soaked the ground. The sight was not at all pleasing but it was also nothing that phased Samira much. She had seen too much of it before. Shifting her gaze, she followed the blood trail to stare at the man on the wall. He was alive, of course. Angry, shouting in pain, cursing like she had never heard before, but alive. Not for long though if he kept struggling. In his effort to free himself, he made the wound worse. The blood pouring from him was quickly becoming a scarlet puddle that got darker with more drops that joined it.
"Nevermind. The last question has been answered." It was doubtful that the man could hear her what with his own voice drowning out her own, but that was fine. If Anhur had managed to escape and find her then it was only a matter of time before the rest of the questions had answers as well. Or a full uneventful escape transpired. That was possible though the chance of that was very slim, especially with how things so quickly escalated already.
