Volac stared upwards at the mountain trail that he'd been told to follow, a bemused look on his face. This was the first time that he'd ever travelled on this particular mountain, and while he was slightly disappointed that there wouldn't be as much of a challenge actually climbing the mountain, he was at least somewhat relieved that there was actually a marked-down trail that people could follow. Not everyone was used to climbing a mountain, and with how tall the particular mountain was, it would be more than a little silly considering what the path led to. The Silver Wolves Guildhall, a rather large guildhall that was nestled within one of the taller mountains in the mountain range that contained Phoenix Mountain. Not only that, but the apparent snowstorm that surrounded the guild itself would have someone lost in an instant.
... Maybe he'd finally be able to find a home here.
He'd been travelling through a few of the towns that were bordering Phoenix mountain, completing his usual route for deliveries. Jobs had been slowing recently, leaving him with less work, so he'd been forced to take on more routes to try and get even a fraction of the pay that he used to get by taking actual missions or tasks from the various towns he'd gone through. The money was only barely enough, and it was thinning out no matter how frugally he decided to live. So, he'd decided to ask around, wandering throughout the various towns about places that he could go that would offer better work. Quite a few had initially suggested fairy tail, but that was clear on the other side of Fiore. Some had also suggested Luminous Rose... but they just, didn't call to him, the idea of making his magic stronger for any reason making him slightly nauseous.
"Isss something wrong..? You heartrate just spiked." Volac quietly turned his gaze down to his scarf as a scaly head poked itself out of the folded fabric. "It's... ok. Just nervous." he said softly, a hand going to his scarf so he could stroke his beloved familiar's head. "Thank you... for worrying, Hi... Hita.. Hitaaa-OW!" Hitamuki nipped his chin, a low hiss coming from her mouth "Sstop that, no throwing your voice out before we even get there!" she scolded, snuggling closer to him. "Ssseriously.. You'll need it for introductions, yesss? Don't waste it!" Volac could only nod in response, looking up at the mountain trail.

The runes on his arms thrummed with energy, responding to his emotions.

Welp, he only had one way to really go at this point.
'Well this is rather awkward...' He thought idly, staring at one of the spectral wolves that was now looking at him with a strange expression, pacing around him curiously. Hitamuki had retreated back into his scarf, having let out a startled hiss when the wolf had arrived. The staredown was somewhat unnerving, at least it was unnerving until the wolf started trotting closer, looking at him, and then tilting its head towards the snowstorm as it began trotting towards it. Volac carefully reinforced his runes so he didn't catch a cold from standing within the howling snowstorm, and he followed after the spectral being.
