    Lyra Karant
    A Glittering Infinity

The last few months had been an incredibly challenging experience for Lyra. Having been stuck and struck ill for what felt so incredibly long, fighting an illness of a magnitude that she had not expected to ever need to deal with, the rose quartz mage had evolved past the limits that she felt she had been previously imposing upon herself. On a recent adventure– well, at this point, semi-recent– she had travelled with fellow guild ace Nita to the distant plane of Nazo, where they had engaged a deformed and deranged primordial monstrosity. The beast had wounded her, of that there was no question, and drawn blood in doing so. However, being so wounded itself, their blood had intermingled, and the result had expanded to such a point that it had become a drastic, body and mind altering experience - a three-week fever that had her bedridden and I'll in such a way that had never happened to her previously. She felt as if she had no strength, no ability to handle the situation  she was in - and as the primordial's blood entwined with the very fabric of the magicks she conjured, it transfigured itself into an entirely new assembly, giving her a series of powers that she had yet to wholly master - but the dark forces that now afflicted her had given her a perfect reflection of the magic that was in her heart to begin with. Now, Lyra had at her command not flame and wind but light and crystal, and had in doing so become the perfect rose quartz mage that she had always dreamed of becoming. In all things a silver lining could be found, and even though it had been a very harrowing situation, she had come through it all the stronger for its experience.

Her survival through it all was very easily down to the assistance of a single person, without whom her continued existence likely would not have happened. The guildmistress of Luminous Rose, Desireé Blooms, had devoted so much of her time to ensuring that Lyra's needs were met - whether that was ensuring food and water was made available for her, making sure that she was comfortable, and above all keeping her company. It had been stressful, and Desi could not be there at all times every day for her responsibilities were wide and varied, but no way would Lyra have coped without her. Yet another reason that Lyra adored her with all her heart - as if she needed more reasons to add to the stack. The real result here was that she had survived the harrowing trial and come out of it all stronger. Now that the fever had passed, Lyra was moving around, getting her strength back, and returning her body to being fighting fit once again. Having to learn a new set of magic wasn't the easiest thing for her to be doing, but no matter what she was there to do her absolute best in all things and master the crystal realm that was slowly opening up to her, piece by piece. It would be a long trip, but the journey would be well worth the effort, to master a new realm of magic.

With all of that being said, the pink haired mage knew that she was being summoned for a greater task. Desi had requested that Lyra attend the throne room of the guild for some reason, where within the Grand Hall of Roses the greatest legends of the guild she had formed was waiting the woman to whom she had pledged. No longer was her oath to the Guild simply a matter of fidelity to the group– after so many recent events and travails it was now a pledge to her. This was something she now took entirely seriously, especially if the events of the last few weeks were anything to go by - the idol absolutely deserved such. She was going to make herself worthy of that trust, and would prove her loyalty a thousand times over. Especially when the real reason for the life of the Rose was known to her, in a horrid revelation brought to her on the field of battle - the last place she’d expected to be, if nothing else.

As Lyra walked through the currently-empty gilt guild hall, she took a moment to stare at the statues of her fellow guildmates. Those who had made impressions on not only the guild, but the world at large - Nita, the Faulkner sisters, Sakura Kisagami… and herself, all forming a row towards the back end of the hall, closest to the throne, where the crystal lady now herself waited. Lyra paused, seeing herself cast in bronze, wings spread, ready to defend those she cared for - as was always her wont. The healing angel. Never the fighter, even when she absolutely needed to be. It was such a strange dichotomy that she found herself in, and yet it seemed so hilariously appropriate that it was a silently cast version of herself. She protested strenuously to this objectification of herself, of course - she shied away from compliments at the best of times, let alone a heroic recreation of herself. It seemed a little too self-indulgent for her liking, however, it was not her choice to have the statue built - and it was good for morale, if nothing else, that every reasonably respected member of the guild was worth casting a whole statue of. Anyone who had made reasonable contributions to the Rose was enshrined here for eternity, where they deserved to be. All of the little flowers of the garden of blooms were worthy of love, respect and trust.

Lyra just hoped she would forever be worthy of that trust.

Footfalls of travelling boots echoed around the mighty chamber of the Guild, where Lyra approached the crystal throne of the mistress, where the next mission awaited her. It was with bated breath that she crossed the room, hoping to see she who was so very familiar to those tired, emerald eyes.

Mind drenched in unholy black crashing waves, synonymous with the void itself, the Queen of Chrysalis found herself unable to think of anything other than the mystical dream that she had witnessed morph into reality a mere week ago. She did not know if it was the ever-expanding pink galaxies of her soul gem speaking to her astral self in the form of prophetic visions or simply a curse from her father- but this was one of many small white thoughts in the vortex of the heightening multi-dimensional war, something she had to shelf for now. It was not that Desirée wasn't able to mourn the death of one of her royal sisters of the crystalline stellarium, Queen Diamandis Stellune, but that testimonies and preparations for escalation took up almost all of her time that she didn't spend within the Stronghold of Roses. It was the first time she had ever witnessed a crystal descend into dark stardom, something she had not known to ever exist. Desirée wished that she alongside her kingdom would not meet the same fate as her silvernette sister from the cosmos, but with her father taking the seat of the throne of jupiter's crystal realm, she knew that it could very well be her destiny if she did not remain tactful.

Six hours away marked the rite of White Diamond's passage, in the form of a royal banquet and funeral, something the reigning Queen found herself dressed for within the bounds of Luminous Rose territory. A long, shimmering gown of black with an open back hugged Desirée's torso, and while it appeared to shift like stars in a noire galaxy, strings of crystalline jewelry dangled from her waist, arms, and flowing pink hair. It was as if strings of pure crystalline and fragmentals of light cascaded through her hair from the crown of Chrysalis that sat on the top of her head, appearing to almost fluctuate between the matters of crystalline and fluctuating light. Sharp black acrylic nails almost two inches in length, needle-like heels that stabbed the ground she would (or would not) step upon, this kind of sultry look was not something that the usual bubblegum popstar would find herself in since her descent back into Earthland some years ago- the last time she attended a funeral was when she was the Guildmistress of Crystal Swan. The notion of accepting someone's ascension into the afterlife, if any, was usually quite a difficult thing for Desirée to handle. Though today, she worried more about telling the girl she seemed to be caring about the most this past year, as she knew Lyra had trained with her during her climbing of the ranks of stellar ethereality. She couldn't bring herself to tell her of the news until the day of the funeral due to the ace's feverish sickness and her own cowardice to appear as vulnerable outwardly, which was an ongoing struggle for Desirée as is, but now the time was up. She had a rather extensive tour of the cosmos planned for the two, if Lyra was willing to accompany her in her royal duties, some farther away than others in the grand scheme of the solar system. It hurt her on the inside to be unable to mourn more before they were to lay White Diamond's gem to rest, but as the figurehead to the grand council of Queens, she had no choice but to continue strengthening the forces of Chrysalis for the war that was now on the horizon.

Gliding up one of the many decadent stairways that led up to the hall of legends, accompanied by her crystalline mire-wolf and her two bio-luminescent companions, the levitating Guildmistress would appear to flutter through the giant archway that led into the statue-filled throne room and land in the center of it, heels making a reverberation against the stone-crystalline swirled surface of the ground. Standing in the shadows of the statues of Luminous Rose guild members on the other end of the hall was none other than Lyra Karant- if she found herself able to catch Desirée's gaze, it would appear to be in the color of a lustrous blue-violet as she would stand with her hands tied behind her back, hair fluttering within still air. A feeling of dread crept into her stomach as she thought of how she was going to break the news to her closest of the guild. She practiced how she would say it numerous amounts of times in her mirror within her royal chambers in Chrysalis, but all of her preparation would fade away as she would look at her from afar. Making her advance with inward hesitation, her shimmering heels would continue to reverberate and echo within the silent chamber with each step she would take closer to her throne and her ace, eyes maintaining their deep indigo hue.

"Hi Lyra, ✧" Desirée would softly speak as she would pass Lyra from behind, holding her hand out to brush against hers in her passing toward the giant crystalline throne beneath her colossal statue, ".. thank you for responding to my summons, are you feeling okay? ☾"

Ascending the throne with a graceful manner of levitation, the slayer of pink hair would look down at her nails and clasp her hands together for a moment to collect herself, her eyes producing a single teardrop of light that would fizzle out of existence like scattering light. Her companions would sit at her feet, two of them bobbing around in the surrounding air and making empathetic faces toward the mistress as they would look up at her- they would then go to their typical selves, toying around and chasing each other around the throne's diameter. Desirée was just as clueless as her companions were but in a completely different manner. She still had no idea how she was going to drop the bomb that was the descent into corruption that was White Diamond's downfall, and while half of her wanted to just scream it out at the top of her lungs, the other half wished to indefinitely stall. Within one of her two hands would instantaneously manifest her signature pink vaporizer, now cherry blossom menthol flavored, and would raise it to her mouth to take a smoke.

"✧ There is going to be a party, banquet, and.. celebration of life at the Goddess' Ascent in Chrysalis in an hour or so, and.. ☽ I wanted to invite you to be my plus one," another tear would fall out of her indigo eyes as she would speak, quickly dispersing in shimmer as before, ".. and after that, I must take my spaceship to the crystal realm of mars to discuss potential terms regarding allies in the upcoming war effort against the crystal realm of jupiter. I've learned that Godfrey Blooms, my father, has taken to its throne and has resumed his attempts to dismantle Chrysalis.. but this time stronger. He.. ☾"

Desirée would cut herself off by whelping due to the overwhelming emotions that strung through her mind, quickly raising her hands to cover her eyes and tears- though, the cascading stardust that would flow out of her eyes would drift out the slits in between her fingers and would float around her face before dissipating into nothingness.

"..He killed Diamandis Stellune, Lyra, I'm so sorry.., ✧" she would continue to cry, though it would now transcend into that of bawling, ".. he did something that I could never fathom to exist, and I- I don't want it to happen ever again.. ☾"

Desirée felt embarrassed due to just how quickly her seemingly calm composure was able to break down in front of Lyra, even though she knew they had a relationship where emotional openness wasn't off the table. She couldn't control it- and letting out all of those tears was long overdue after she faced off against the dark star that was her lifelong friend and royal sister. Cheeks glowing a luminous pink color, the crystalline girl of the holy rose continued to look down at her hands and weep, allowing all of the pent-up tears of stellar light to wisp away. She knew she didn't have a choice to make the corrupted White Diamond retract into her gem only to be sealed away with a collective sealing spell, never to reform without each crystalline mage that assembled it present to grant such a wish, but she still felt it was her that brought that "death" to her new friend. Though she acted in everyone's best interest in doing so, there was still guilt.

    Lyra Karant
    A Glittering Infinity

The graceful movement of the Queen as she crossed her guild hall was an enthralling thing. First floating effortlessly through the air, then taking echoing steps wearing a shimmering black dress in heels to die for-- which was a gorgeous thing to see, but a little outside the norm-- and as she moved, flanked by her royal companions, Lyra could not help but just stare and watch as trails of pure crystalline ethereality glowed under the dazzling lights of the hall. She had clearly spared no expense in the design of today's outfit, up to and including the crown - she was in her element as the queen of Chrysalis today, where the turned the graceful dial up to eleven and made herself the perfect image of true royalty.

"Hi," came the simple reply back. "I'm feeling really good! I'm definitely ready to get back to work." Which, as she flexed her fingers back and forth, felt true. She felt hale and whole, completed, safe, thanks entirely to the woman before her. Were it not for her, she would not be standing here now. Her recovery could entirely be attributed to the guildmistress herself, for which Lyra was to be eternally grateful. That affliction had been beyond comprehension and her survivial had not only made her stronger but also thankful for the gift of life.

However, it was straight to business, and the young pink-haired mage listened to the words of the one upon her golden throne; it was an interesting thing to hear, and explained so much of why she was looking utterly glamorous - there was going to be a massive royal party, a celebration, which by the sounds of it was the way that the people of Chrysalis were to ring in their new year. Why not with a banquet and party? It seemed like a good time, where people could ring in a new year-- wait, was it even their new year, even as the hours drew near? Did they follow the same time as Fiore?--

What stopped Lyra in her tracks, with a look upon her face of a deer caught in headlights, was the fact she wanted to bring her as her plus one. Even as the scent of the vapour filled her nose with that familiar feeling that heralded the Queen herself, Lyra could not help but be stunned. Her? Why her? Not that she was complaining, but surely there were others in her life that were just as, if not more so, important-- she didn't feel she had done enough to merit that kind of recognition. Though, she was rather happy to go, and then it sounded like they were about to go to space as well, which meant that this was going to be a bit of a trip, so Lyra knew she'd just have to get ready for all of this as a brand new adventure--

Before she dropped the bombshell. A pause. A pregnant, bated pause. One where Lyra wished that the words out of Desirée's mouth were not true - but the tears in her eyes told the story of how painfully real this was. No. She wished it wasn't. She wished it wasn't real. But wishes could not change the fabric of reality.

"Oh, Desi, I-" Lyra began, trying to weave some words through the air to help the  guildmistress but absolutely failing to do so. Lyra knew just how important Diamandis Stellune had been to the queen herself; as the white diamond, she was powerful, immeasurably so, in her own right. Lyra had met her at least once, where she had imparted not only the gift of knowledge but the gift of time and even exposure to the crystal realm and just how deep the magic power held at its heart ran. They had conversed, long and in considerable depth, about the power of crystal magic, just how strong it could be, and how well it could be used; upon reflection, Diamandis had almost uniquely predicted where Lyra's magic would inevitably end up. Were she alive now, she would have been proud of the little pink haired mage, and the development she had undergone in order to reach the point that she was at now. However, while she had helped Lyra along her path, she had been indescribably important to Desirée, in ways that the rose quartz could not even begin to fathom. She had been a part of her culture, to which Lyra had only been explosed the merest glimmer-- yet, through all of this, the shattered crystal's shards sparkled with a million hues of every colour of the rainbow. Lyra knew full well that this was an eternal blemish on the perfectly polished surface, one that could not simply be repaired or replaced-- a flaw scarring a facet that would never, ever be the same again.

Without even hesitating or thinking about it, Lyra took steps to ascend the throne herself and unhesitatingly threw her arms around the Queen, decorum be damned-- this was a sorrowful moment and the comfort of a confidant would be absolutely necessary here. She knew in her heart that this was going to be a tough time for everyone to be going through, and that there was plenty to consider-- which, in hindsight, explained her choice of black to mourn her friend instead of her bouncingly joyous pastel hues. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry. I know you two were so close." Her embrace was fierce, one that would encapsulate all of her being, and the warmth that she wished to exude.

She also knew, deep down, how much that the guildmistress would take this as a personal failure. Her one quest was power, to protect those she cared for, to prevent the second coming of a calamity that could have been prevented; this was easily going to fall within Desirée's purview of a failure to uphold the oath she swore to herself to quest for the strength that would let her avoid such tragedy in her life again. For someone who was so entwined in her life, this would be seen as a stark reminder that she had been yet to attain such power and that was just as much a stinging blow than anything else. Lyra had been fortunate enough to take a glimpse into the true motives of the guild only recently and she saw that truth laid bare before her, puzzling it together in a moment of inspiration upon the fields of war. Were the Queen to be left to ponder this alone for too long it would likely send her into a spiral irredeemable. Lyra could already tell how much it had been eating away at her, for she was never, ever one to show too much emotion-- the idol was a paragon of poise and grace, though in this moment the watchful eyes of the world were no longer upon her to cast their poor judgement. She could not, would not, hold back any more. It was likely that her mind simply wouldn't let her.

Worst of all was that it was her own father. Family killing family... Lyra had been there, being so responsible for the death of her own brother, to which guilt ate away at her constantly, in that position. However, the tables so turned that it was a father killing a friend? It was unthinkable. An affront. It was such a heinous situation. And a challenge, for Lyra knew nothing of the nature of the man, and what he stood for and represented. All of the realms of crystal were hidden away from her other than the mere knowledge that they existed, and its twists, turns and mysteries were not open to her. Were she to know, perhaps her rage would have burned infinitely brighter in that moment--

But in this moment, she was to be here as the unwavering support for the one she cared for most. A slender hand came to a porcelain cheek, pinky finger tracing under a jawline, emerald eyes touching upon the gaze of eyes so deep they beheld an entire galaxy in their shimmer. Tears were brushed aside with a thumb, allowing naught but their presence to pierce the skies. Silence held for a moment, Lyra letting her actions do all the talking, before--

"I just realised I don't own any dresses pretty enough to be your plus one," came the stark, sudden knowledge of someone who had moved countries and owned zero types of clothes for formal occasions. Coming to Fiore from Ca-Elum had been a move for adventure, not for fancy parties, and having only been here for a couple years with incredibly few formal party options she had never, ever thought about it. Besides, anyone who knew Lyra well enough was that skirts were typically as far as she went. She wasn't always a girly girl, and wore boots over heels, but this was a special occasion and merited the change.

"I know, I don't want to break the moment, but if we're leaving in an hour-- and, by the way, yes, yes I will go with you-- I am not so talented as you as to be able to change clothes in seconds, so I'd need to get ready," Lyra told her, words coming back from shock to a more manageable tone.

Tears drifting off the sides of her cheeks in the form of fluttering pastel stardust scattering into the surrounding wind, Desirée's eyes simply could not bear the sight of her Ace's emotions switching from ignorant bliss to the painful all-knowing of what had unfolded in the cosmos. She was always one to want to bear the pain of those she surrounded herself with because by doing so, she didn't have to experience the empathetic sadness of those emotions not painted by a smile. Looking toward the ground and feeling her cheeks become warm, she felt the whirlwind of both embarrassment and sorrow in full effect, attempting to hold it in for longer to no avail. Once the shimmering tears of holy light began to scatter from her multi-colored optics, swirled in the colors of blue and violet, there was no stopping the grand exhibit of misfortune. Or so she thought; after listening to Lyra's sentimental remarks of comfort, she felt the presence of the crystalline mage draw closer, ascending the throne of Luminous Rose to throw her arms around the weeping Guildmistress in hopes to further extend her attempt to lull the light that would continue to leak upwards, only slightly subdued.

"I'm going to miss her more than I can ever explain, ✧" the slayer of the holy rose would softly speak to Lyra softly, burying her forehead into the neck in a soft embrace, "..but I can't let these emotions hold me back any longer. I have to compose myself for my appearance at White Diamond's celebration, and luckily, crystalline beings have an affinity for gemstone alcohols- I want to get absolutely shitfaced ☾."

Desirée would let out a smile, raising her left hand in the air to instantly manifest that of a shimmering white handkerchief- meeting her resonating stardust tears that had gathered under her eyes, a singular droplet would fall out into the luminous cloth and would mark the subsidization of her optical drainage. Having let Lyra hold her, even in the form of a simple hug, was somehow able to bring her sadness to a minimum. She felt as though her mind had no credit in that process, which was quite incorrect, but a lot of it had to do with not receiving a single hug from anyone in the crystal realm during her period of mourning. The crystal queen was not one to ask for affection like that, as she saw it as being rather bashful and needy, unlike the graceful and self-sufficient persona she liked to put on for the world. But something about Lyra was different than the rest. It was almost as if she had the ability to read the mind of her guildmistress when she was in need, and though she thought it was rather strange at first, it clicked for her in the past that Lyra was simply a person that always did what was right in her eyes, even if it extended into what some would view to be eccentric between a royal and non-royal. Everything about Lyra was admirable in Desirée's fluctuating eyes, now resting in the color of a pink-lavender hybrid, and the respect she had for the aurora demon slayer transcended that even of some of her fellow queens of the holy crystalline court. She hoped above else that she would not be able to tarnish this mutual feeling of respect, especially if she were to muster up the courage to confess the strong feelings she had been forming for her fellow crystalline demon slayer in the passing months prior.

Raising her pink vaporizer to her lips as she would listen to Lyra express her worry about not owning any dresses 'pretty' enough for the grand party in the cosmos, Desirée would pick up her crystalline pink fox and place her in her lap, something that would cause her to bio-luminescents to perk up and join the cuddle pile. "Desi-poo has tons of dresses in her big walk-in closet up in Chrysalis, they are so pwetty and sparkly~!" Lumi, better known as Kiwi of the two bio-luminescents would exclaim to the Ace in joy, turning to face the Queen in his holy green glow, "..can I wear a tiny sparkly dress too, Desi-poo? I want to matchy-match with you, and Luna, and Lyra too~! Oh, Lyra can totally wear one of your black dresses you got as a gift from Black Diamond when you defeated that big hellfire shade worm~!"

"I wouldn't mind at all, ✧" the guildmistress would softly speak to her companion, gracefully drifting upwards to stain frontont of the throne's plush seat, ".. I can help you get ready in my chambers upon the Goddess' Ascent, and you are more than welcome to my wardrobe. Oh, and Lyra- if anyone at the party expresses confusion or anger due to your presence, please let me know- the last human to visit Chrysalis was myself before I ascended into crystaldom, but that is no excuse for disrespecting a friend of the Queen. Though, they may not have a chance to during the procession. ☾"

Raising her hand outward, seemingly collecting light in the form of ethereal dewdrops that rested in the rose fields within the outlying fields surrounding some of the statues of the Luminous Rose guild members, the light droplets would seem to pull toward Desirée and collect within the crystalline rings that rested on almost all of her fingers. This would cause a chain reaction of magic; first would appear a singular rotating magical circle of a pastel pink color to span across the floor under the party, then one above, when suddenly they would morph into a solidified crystalline formation. Though, if Lyra would look closely it would seem to be shifting within the states of matter, despite staying in place. Brilliant fluctuating light of pink and white, these magical properties would waver around the guildmistress' hand before shooting outward into a sphere around the five, encompassing them in a shell-like bubble of the material that was once unfolding only above and below them. Insiof the bubble would scatter fragmentals of light, stardust-infused, accompanied by rose quartz and white diamond crystals that would magically pass through each of their bodies on contact, and similar pink petals of rose and sakura. It was a mythical marvel of ethereal energies, and if the perception of her Ace was high enough focusing on the shell of fluctuating crystal, she would be able to see that through the semi-transparent shell what surrounded them was not the Grand Hall of Legends that they rested in before but that of cosmic and interstellar energies wavering around in the form of an endless pink galaxy of wispy rose-colored galaxies and white stars. While this feat was difficult for Desirée to explain, as none of the diamonds knew how it was even possible, she was using one of her elusive gemstone abilities to tear into the fabric of reality to plummet across the cosmos upward even faster than the speed of light inside of a holy shell of divinity, via an outward manifestation of her forehead gem, which would allow the five to appear within her chambers in Chrysalis in a matter of seconds.

The holy shell of light and crystal would suddenly burst around them, scattering outward into the surrounding air to reveal a similar setting to that of the Stronghold of Roses, though it would seem to be entirely foreign. Tapestries would line the walls adorned in a rainbow-colored sigil, which would seem to depict a pink-colored crown of crystalline surrounded by twelve gem-shaped stars, one for each color of the rainbow, and then some. The room was almost double the size of the Grand Hall of Legends, and was now in the shape of a circle, spanning outward from a giant bed in the middle with the same shape. Around the bed would flutter transparent pink and white drapes, gracefully sparkling and moving in the wind that would course inside from one of the open stained-glass windows of the exterior, and if Lyra were to look closely, these drapes would seem to be made entirely of light and crystalline, just as the hanging beads, light fixtures, and almost everything else in the room. The outlier to this would be none other than the cute and bubbly trinkets that would rest upon various surfaces, including Earthland-native floral life and multi-colored knick-knacks one could find all over Ishgar. While this would look similar to Desirée's personal room in Luminous Rose, not including some other-worldly flare such as levitating constructs of ethereality and quite the collection of 'hieroglyphics' in an unknown symbol-like language, if Lyra were to look out of one of the many giant windows that lined the east side of the room, what would be on the outside would appear as anything but Earthland-like.

"We've made it to the Goddess' Ascent, the home of Chrysalis' royal court of diamonds, ✧" Desirée would smile toward Lyra, setting down her crystalline wolf that was previously in her arms to wander on her own, "..come, look out the window with me~. ☾"

Outside of the windows would stretch a series of floating islands that would seem to drift far above the clouds, and unlike the world that was far below even the surface that was under those clouds, Earthland, the sky would be a magnificent pink color rather than blue- but the dazzling gem to the skies was not the color, but the giant wispy trees of pink and white that would spiral upward into the cosmos, almost as big as entire cities in Ishgar. This was none other than the country of the Goddess' Ascent in Chrysalis, the place where the crystal goddess ascended into a matterless form of the cosmos, and her magical existence would still continue to prosper upon the horizon. Just in sight of the window, almost thirty levels below, a giant party would seem to be ensuing accompanied by fireworks of all the colors of the rainbow. Nearly all of the crowd would seem to be wearing black colors, in mourning for their fallen retired queen, and they would seem to be dancing and socializing surrounded by a circle of twelve thrones- in the center of the circle would be a giant statue of white crystal, depicting Diamandis Stellune in her prime, and though she would appear as a tiny dot on the horizon, a woman with dark-colored hair would seem to be crouched at the foot of the statue weeping inconsolably. Only five of the twelve thrones would seem to be occupied, though with the clearing of the crowd making a path toward one and a blue-haired woman ascending one of the empty thrones, another would be filled by yet another prominent figure of Chrysalis, being one of the Blue Diamonds.

Leaning on the edge of the small curve of the opened window's balcony, which would look to be entwined in pink and white roses and their respective vines, Desirée would rest just behind a hanging veil of whispy starlight. This would serve no purpose other than secluding herself from the outside world of Chrysalis while in her chambers; there was not a single crystalline being unable to take flight, making hiding within tall constructs nearly impossible. There was not a single law forbidding flying within the outlying edges of the grand castle of the Goddess' Ascent, home to all of the reigning Diamonds and their most elite of forces, meaning that the council of queens had to take precautions relating to keeping the rather obsessive citizens of Chrysalis at bay. This was done with simple refractive light curtains in every window, accompanied by an elite yet secretive squadron of multi-colored agates making the rounds at all times, making anyone on the other side of the wavering stardust whisps unable to see inside. The squadron of agates, commanded by the blue diamond that had just graced her throne in the ceremony below, had the ability to rest within a state of pure invisibility, almost as if they had light curtains surrounding them at all angles. "Every thirty minutes one of the eleven diamonds will ascend their throne through the crowd down there in order of their reign, with me as last- Diamandis Stellune's half-sister, a quartz by the name of Lunette White, is going to be taking to her throne in her place of her now deceased sister two before me," the reigning pink Queen of roses would speak to Lyra as her gaze would continue at the party down below, a small tear fluctuating off of her cheek as her composure would attempt to remain still, "..it is a big controversy right now, as some of the diamonds and citizens do not feel it is just to allow a quartz within the Diamond Authority, but I wouldn't wish it to be any other way. She's poised and skilled in gem tech just as her sister was, I couldn't see a better person filling the gap Stellune left behind. ✧ Oh, and we now have three hours to get ready now- time flows differently here, with one hour in Earthland equaling three hours in Chrysalis. It's how I'm able to keep up in the lands below, coming here during normal sleeping hours."

Desirée was trying her absolute hardest to put on her bubbly, carefree persona that she was ever so used to playing, though all she could feel inside was something of an ever-spiraling black pit in her stomach, being that of intense anxieties and sadness for the one that she had lost. The thought of embarrassing herself in front of her people was greatly overwhelming for the otherworldly queen, even if she would not be the only one that would potentially be doing so. After all, in birds-eye view the diamond of black lay cradled at the feet of the statue depicting Diamandis Stellune amassing a pool of the brightest black tears of stardust one could ever see; it was to be expected, after all, as it was known that the two had been married for close to a thousand years. To think that their final goodbye was a moment that they both did not see as ever occurring, being part of an immortal race of holy elemental constructs.. it made the rose demon slayer feel utterly, empathetically terrible. The last death of a crystalline being of Chrysalis way back tens of hundreds of centuries ago, interwoven deeply within the first multi-dimensional war, and though it would be a grand request, she wished to never witness or even hear of anything remotely similar ever again with her people. It was not as if 'death' was a sweet release for the beings of the crystalline realms, but was that of an endless spiral of suffering. The fate of a dark star, a crystalline being exposed to unfathomable wretched energies that seep into the construct of their gems and acquaint them with 'death', rested entirely within unholy darkness, so lost so that they become that of demons and monsters; they forget themselves entirely and are bound to their unholy marionette up until their physical body retracts into their gem, either by defeat or by exposure to their light, only to never come back out. Trapped in a state of ethereal unconscious until they reform into a monster yet again, using darkness to regenerate instead of light, they would continue to forget until they ascend into that of an evil, cosmic horror until the end of time. The one thing that could stop this would be a spell from hundreds of crystals, a binding spell of Chrysalis, which would encase the corrupted gem inside a bubble to never come out, stuck inside the endless stellar nightmare to never reform. An ancient spell, first cast by the Goddess of Chrysalis when she took a physical form during the war, it was almost unfathomable that Diamandis Stellune was now bound by it in order to never take a physical form again, now residing as an unholy lost soul in another plane of existence- and it was even more insane that her encased gem rested just above Desirée's statue in the Stronghold of Roses back on Earthland, guarded by an upwards of thirty rubies encased in invisibility cloaks at all times.

"☾ Now, do you wanna get to picking out your outfit? I can summon a stylist for hair and makeup too, only if you want, ✧" the guildmistress would speak a bit more bubbly toned than before, but not by much, turning her body from the window to begin taking delicate steps toward the center of the room where her bed rested. Slipping through the fluttering veils of fluctuating pink and white light with every few steps she would take, simply by raising her hand all of them would detach from the ceiling and burst into gem refractals, dissipating into the light that shone into the room. It was as if they never really existed in the room in the first place, being such an advanced form of magical ability- but that was the case with most things that resided and came from the realm of Chrysalis, as the otherworldly lands were home to eccentric laws of space that were abnormal to the mortal world. Gravity was something that only applied to things like water created by the fusion of holy light and melted gem structures, and the occasional plant. Other stellar objects had the ability of floating in place or even around like planets in the solar system, allowing entire countries to shift throughout the cosmic skies and end up across the world in the span of a year. It's what made the arts of flight so crucial in Chrysalis, and while some from Earthland may view this as strange, aerial endeavors made up a rather mundane way of life within the immortal lifelong cultures of crystalline beings as they never knew any other way. That was, other than the mortal-turned-crystalline, Desirée, though this change was nothing more than a sparkling dream she had finally been granted by fate.

Raising her hand outward whilst sitting on the edge of the circular bed, which looked to be completely decked out in plush blankets glowing in her signature colors, Desirée would appear to stare toward that of a giant set of double doors to the left of the window, lined leading into the interior of the castle. This would be none other than the big walk-in closet her bio-luminescent spoke of before the instant teleportation to Chrysalis, and with a few passing moments of focus and the fidgeting of her fingers, the doors would suddenly slam open to release a gentle breeze of sakura petals and waves of pink light into the chambers, and floating alongside them would be about twenty dresses of various styles, though all black in color. A few accessories for each would flutter outward with them as well, and though everything had a seemingly gem-like and light-based aesthetic, the actual styles of the dresses would vary so much that Lyra would be bound to find one that she would like. Smiling at the dresses, and the fact that she was with Lyra somewhere she had never brought anyone else from Earthland before, they would align themselves in a straight line in front of the two, if Lyra was to have followed Desirée to sit on the bed with her that is. While the dresses would span in front of the two, Lumi and Luna, the bio-luminescent companions of pink and green, would stare up at them in awe. Luna, the pink one, nicknamed Strawberry, would attempt to recreate one of the dresses toward the end of the line with her own light magic, but it would moreso look like she was wearing a tiny garbage bag made of light more than a mimic of the original version. It was a bit interesting for the guildmistress to look at the apparel sprawled out like this, despite being so familiar with picking out clothing when she wouldn't create it herself with her magic, but because almost all of the dresses of black were from the era in which she was the guildmistress of the traveling guild of artistry and exploration of Earthland, Crystal Swan.

"I wore this one at a blacklight party after one of my concerts in Desierto, I think it would look beautiful on you ♡," she would speak to Lyra before outlining the dress in question in a pink border with her magic, pulling a pillow from her bed to rest between her arms and her lap, ".. and this one was from when I formed the guild Crystal Swan almost five years ago ☾." Both of the dresses were just as similar as they were different, as they seemed to be made of the same material- solidified light and crystal, of course, in the color of black with shimmering galaxy-like structures that looked to be white stars in a black universe. Though, the party dress was much shorter than the gown that she had worn when she had formed the first guild that she was the guildmistress of.

"I'm gonna be the only boy at the party, and I'm gonna be in a dwess~," Lumi the bio-luminescent would exclaim as he would twiddle around the bed, still in awe of the dresses that were levitating like stars around the room, "..Imma go look in my drawer for the dressy-dwess~! Strawberry, come wiff me!" The two bio-luminescents would flutter off into the closet that had released the clothing into the surrounding sky of the room, followed by Rose the gemstone wolf to ensure that chaos would not ensue. She was more of a peacekeeper between the two than anything, as they were still going through their enemies-to-lovers arc despite knowing each other for seven years.

"Are there any that are calling out to you? ✧ Since they are all made of light, I can adjust the makeup for them to be tighter or looser, ♡" the reigning gemstone queen would smile, facing Lyra on the bed while leaning over the pillow in her lap. However, marked by loud yet calming chime from the entrance to her chambers, which would be the largest door and archway on the walls, she would become briefly startled before recognizing the yellow light that would begin to pour through the cracks of the shut entrance. It would be none other than a request for entry from Diamandis Stellavera, Yellow Diamond, more often known to be the woman that raised Desirée when her real mother was under the influence of her father's possession up until she was an adult. Beginning to rest her hands on her cheeks while her elbows would continue to rest on the pillow in her lap, she would smile toward Lyra and would let out a small exclamation of an invitation of entry to the woman on the other side of the door, unreleasing of her loving gaze toward Lyra. While the doors would slowly open, allowing the presence of golden light and energies to leak more prominently into the pink room, a crystalline woman would slowly walk inside that Lyra may or may not have recognized from the Stronghold of Roses. She often used its warp as a destination for her interstellar travels, as she enjoyed visiting Earthland almost as much as Desirée and often wished to help Luminous Rose maintain its unique flair both with stylistic influences toward some of the decorum of the guild's territory and sparring with the occasional Luminous Rose guild member to grow them in strength, just as White Diamond did, but with tech instead of golden telescopes and constellation tomes. As she would walk inside, three golden celestial sheep would pour in and run up towards the bed in order to get affection from the pink-haired slayers which the guildmistress wouldn't hesitate to fulfill.

"Oh dear me, I'm sorry if I'm intruding on you and your guest. Hi, you must be Lyra Karant, Desirée has told me quite a bunch about you ✧," the yellow diamond would kindly approach the bedside and would raise out her hand toward Lyra, turning to face the reigning Queen after a potential shaking of hands, "..I'll be quick, I just wanted to inform you that a large amount of energy has entered the top of Chrysalis and looks to be passing through. We are thinking it's a few meteors, which must be a good omen for the ongoing celebration of life. Just thought I should let you know, dear. Anyways, I'll be going now, I've got a throne to ascend upon! Byebye~! ☾" Since she entered the room, her sentences got quicker and quicker- she didn't want to intrude on anything, especially as Desirée had confided in her with many stories and feelings of just how she felt for the girl that sat on the bed with her. To her, it felt like a mother wandering into a room with her daughter and a suspiciously close friend- she was a bit overprotective even though she considered herself a 'cool mentor' and wanted to see for herself who her mentee was crushing on. It was rather bashful.

Sparkling into nothingness via teleportation outward, Diamandis Stellavera would take her sheep with her when she would warp out of the room into the hallways of the castle, even though they were enjoying the lovings they were getting from Desirée. Hell, she didn't even let the Queen get a word in after she was done talking- talk about embarrassing.

"Sorry for that, she's a mess, ✧" Desirée would smile at Lyra and would let out a chuckle, her cheeks appearing rather flushed with a soft pink hue and tiny star-like shimmers, ".. but a meteor shower, oh gosh I'm so excited that sounds so amazing~! ☾"
