Leave the Future in the Past, We're Living in the Present now, Baby!

It barely took any time for the woman who was dressed rather casually. A snap of her fingers after bringing up her archive screens and presses a spot on the map to indicate she wants to travel there before she blips from existence and back in in the Sakuramori forest. She donned a purple short kimono, a pair of dark purple thigh high stockings with a pair of platform wooden high heeled geta’s on her feet. One of her arms donned a black sleeve under the arms of her kimono.

Her phlox purple eyes look around the forest before she pulls up a screen again. Her mother had informed her about talks of some Midian people traveling through the forest once upon a time ages ago. Of course, that got her curious and wanting to see if she could find anything. There were plenty of secrets in this forest anyways if the rumors her mother heard were false. Who knew what lay within this forest.

It took a moment but another two blips came up from behind her. Her companions. Olly, and Greyhound. Olly was a little exceed who absolutely adored the winter seasons, and Greyhound was a cyborg covered head to toe in armor with a mask covering his true face. Oh how the dragon slayer wished she could take off his mask, but she bet it would be rude to even ask.

“What are we looking for, Mistress Lethe?” Greyhound says in a deep voice.

She glares back at him and pinches her nose. “Drop the ‘Mistress’ before I kick you…” She growls. Her eyes travel back to the forest. “We’re on the hunt for an old Midian cargo lost in the woods from at least a century and a half ago, maybe longer. Contains clothes and little accessories and some old home supplies from then. Or something else of value.” She shrugs her shoulders as she placed her hands on a sword that was on her hip. Protection was needed in case this place wasn’t too friendly, not that she even needed her sword honestly. At this point her sword was nothing more than a toy in her hands with the strength she accumulated.

Olly flew up next to his slayer and tilted his head. “So we’re looking for clothes? Will they be wrapped up?” He giggles as Lethe barely glanced to him.

“Yup. They should be. Else they’d be ruined and this mission is pointless.” She let her eyes trail around the forest, seeing if there could be any clue as to where they needed to go. She wanted that cargo, and badly.

As she had talked to her companions, the slayer sensed something, letting her eyes glare at a specific spot for a bit longer than anywhere else. She snorted as she tilted her head, letting her hair fall to one side. “I’m sure I sense another slayer.” She let her voice be just a bit louder than before as she stood there waiting. Greyhound had reached for his weapon as he was preparing to go on the offensive. The woman held her hand out to tell him to stand down.

She walked easily on her getas as she made her way towards the one who wasn’t hiding themselves in this forest. She stopped after a few steps, letting herself also be visible to the shorter person a distance away. “Do you need any help?” She called out as she shifted her weight to her left leg, crossing her arms over her chest as she smirked.

Greyhound and Olly followed behind their slayer, but Olly decided to zip past her to go and investigate the new slayer that he hadn’t met before. Lethe reached her hand out and tried to at least grab his tail, but he was just a tick faster in his excitement. “Olly!” She had cried out at the same time as she tried to grab his tail.

The little exceed creature zipped up to the other person and was flying around rather excitedly. “You’re a slayer too?! How long have you been a slayer? Is it cool to be a slayer? What kind of slayer are you?! Do you like presents?! What about snow? Decorations?!” He was firing off questions one after another, barely taking a breath in between questions.

Lethe growled as she started to storm towards the other slayer, but her attention was clearly on the flying fuzzball that was buzzing around him. She kept a decent distance from the new person when she stopped, in case they didn’t want her too close. Her hands were in fists as she crossed them over her chest again. “Olwen.” The sternness of her voice caused the grey flying creature to stop and look at her. He paused for a moment, trying to think of what was wrong and why Lethe was angry at him, then he looked to the other slayer. “Come. Now.” She pointed a finger to the other side of her where Greyhound was not.

While the black haired woman was seeming irritated, and the exceed made his way over to where he was directed to, she closed her eyes to compose herself for a moment. “I apologize for that. He’s easily excitable…” She sighs before shaking her head and looking to the person. She already hated how tall she was, being six foot tall, but these getas gave her an extra four inches.
