Fin arrived on scene dressed to the nines in his full uniform, the only alterations to the uniform was his red scarf he had wrapped around his neck and pinned to his coat. The other notable accessory was an odd red shaped mask which had narrow slits which looked like eyes and large curved opening resembling a smile. Both the scarf and the mask had gold accents on it. Other than that Fin had appeared as a text book example of a Rune Knight. His task today was to investigate a recent robbery at a local jewelry store and find some useful evidence. Hands in his pocket he walked into the store immediately noticing the broken glass scattered all over the floor. In the store was Daphne, a Rune Knight Fin had befriended, and the store owner.
"How's the craic?" Fin said as he greeted Daphne and the store owner. Daphne looked up at the ginger headed mage. "Huh?" Daphne asked slightly confused. Fin nodded and chuckled. "Ah pardon me, I meant what's up. Like how ya. Sorry haha" scratched the back of his head as he apologized. "Oh that's fine Fin... this is Mr. Jenson, he and his wife run this shop. As you can tell there has been a burglary of sorts. Fortunately no one was hurt." Daphne explained. Fin's nodded, his face now serious and strictly professional. Fin gave a firm handshake to Mr. Jenson.
"Pleasure to meet you mister Jenson... I do apologize that this had happened to your establishment.... you have me word that we'll get this straightened out and catch these crooks." Fin's words were comforting and reassuring. Mr. Jenson smiled and thanked Fin. "If it's alright with you I'll go ahead and start investigatin" Daphne nodded and turned to Mr. Jenson. "If you would step outside with me Mr. Jenson"
Fin smiled and waved at the two as they stepped outside the shop. Fin's friendly demeanor dropped as his face adopted a more stoic and professional disposition. "Alrighty then... let's get er crackin..." Fin focused, concentrating his mana around him, the light around him began to waver and dim as the shadows grew deeper. "Mirror, mirror on the wall..." Fin said to himself in a joking manner as his sky blue eyes shifted and phased into a deep purple glow as the room was plunged into pitch black darkness. At first there was a brief moment of complete sensory deprivation until Fin's ears were filled with the sound of indecipherable whispering, followed by the return of Fin's vision. There, Fin stood and watched gray husks reenacting whatever happened in the room in the 24 hours. Fin walked about, feeling the cold void on his skin as he walked through a warped mirror version of his current reality. He followed the husk taking a mental note of how robbery took place. It was a team of four individuals, though Fin could not discern any fine details for they only appeared has blurry gray husks. Fin clicked his tongue in frustration, his abilities were unrefined, he had no idea what or how his magic functioned. It had been weeks of trail and error, the more he discovered about his abilities the more questions he had.
Fin eventually came across a broken display case, the whispers were noticeably loud he stopped and knelt down. The whispers ceased suddenly and the light filled the room once again as Fin once more returned to mundane plane. Fin grinned as he came across a small blood stain that could have been easily missed. "Bingo..." Fin said as he realized the mission had been accomplished. Now came the hard part.... the damn paper work and report....
