Finnegan Fontaine a young Pilgrim that hailed from the nation of Seven had recently joined the ranks of the astute Rune Knights. Although he had joined the combat corps, the sociable young man had made many friends across the three branches, many of which belonged to the Engineering Department. During one of Fin's previous conversations he had with a fellow rookie Rune Knight, Jimmy Lee, he learned that the two generals that were in charge of the Engineering were none other than Generals Grappa and Jellisha. Apparently the duo were exceeds a breed of talking magical flying cats. Fin had seen his fair share of mythical creatures, however he had never met an exceed before. It was custom in his village to bring gifts particularly a cooked meal when one would meet someone important. So Fin had prepared a delicious treat for the two.
The items on the menu was smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers on a beagle, on the side were crinkle fries and chicken nuggets. All of the ingredients were caught, gathered, and prepared himself. For dessert he had taken the liberty to make caramelized mango slices, a perfect accompaniment for the savory main dish Fin had whipped up. Cooking indeed was something that brought joy to Finnegan Fontaine, especially if he was cooking for others. If he had the the time and resources to whip up a delectable meal for everyone in the Rune Knights, he would, but alas he was but only a single human being with limitations. Even so, the pilgrim took the effort to show as much kindness as he could. Fin chose to live by the words a good friend of his "Always try to be polite but never fail to be kind."
The ginger haired sevenite rookie, arrived at the Engineering wing with treats packed neatly in cute boxes wrapped in a soft panda decorated cloth. A familiar voice greeted Finnegans ears as it said, "Oh hey Fin whats up?" Fin turned to see it was none other than his friend Jimmy Lee. "Oh how's she cuttin' Jimmy?" Fin beamed as he spoke in sing song accent. "I'm doing well, just running some tests on some contraband that was confiscated. I think it maybe useful to your investigation." Jimmy reported as he glanced over the papers clipped on his clip board.
Fin gave a nod of appreciation, "Absolutely savage lad, I'll have me self come around and talk to ya about it later yeah?" Fin replied back maintaining his warm bright smile. "By the way lad, you reckon that ya twin bosses are around?" Fin inquired. Jimmy paused and thought for a brief moment before responding to his chipper comrade.
"Yeah General Grappa and General Jellisha should be there, why?" Jimmy asked. Fin chuckled and lifted up his packaged treats. "You seriously trying to butter up the head honchos aren't you?" Jimmy laughed, Fin laughed in response. "Honestly lad, It doesn't hurt to be liked by those in charge, yeah?" Fin scratched the back of his head "Anyway I'll get goin', yeah?" Fin continued as he headed deeper into the engineering wing.
"By the way Fin..." Jimmy said softly.
"Yeah lad?" Fin turned to him once more, eyebrows raised in curiosity.
"Thanks... for helping me out with Daphne" Jimmy smiled with a bit of pink budding at the tip of his ears. Fin lips curled into a a big bright smile. "Just doin' the lords work lad. You take care of each other yeah?" Fin nodded as he headed off to the twins' office. It didn't take Finnegan long to locate the office, having a warm smile and a cheerful attitude made it easy to ask for the direction to the office. Private Fontaine then knocked at the office door and spoke "Top of the mornin' to ya, General Grappa, General Jellisha."
