Samira got a lot more than she expected with that question. A simple answer would have sufficed but Victoria went into a long detailed explanation about the costume. Who it was, where the character came from, and what the story of that, hopefully, fully fictional world was. Calling her a gamer would be a very incorrect description. It was no wonder why she did not recognize the costume for what it was. As interesting as Victoria's description of the game series was, Samira was not inclined to change her status to gamer anytime soon. There was neither the time nor the interest in that type of hobby. "Well, it certainly is a better pick than my uncreative idea. There are plenty of witches here but only one Jane Easter," Samira added kindly once Victoria was finished with her explanation.
Speaking of others dressed as witches, it was only a minute before one came along after the devil lady had left. Samira had been all set to go. Where to she had very little idea. There was much to do at the festival and Victoria had not mentioned anything in particular that she would like to see or do. Walking around until they spotted something entertaining for the both of them seemed to be the most obvious plan. An old, reliable, and solid plan indeed and not one she minded for those obviously stated reasons. "All right. Then lets head over-" The sentence she had planned to speak was cut short, having been interrupted by what Samira could only guess was an event volunteer dressed in the silliest witch costume she had ever seen. It was bright pink and black with lots of unwrapped candy all over it. The hat was bent, the shoes were curled at the tips, striped yellow and white stockings clashed heavily with the rest of the outfit, and the volunteer had either decided to dye her shoulder-length hair a shade of bad rainbow hues or it was a wig. It was hard to tell what with the magical world they all lived in. Anything was, unfortunately for Samira's eyes, possible. The Goddess of Ishgar was by no means a fashion designer or fashionista but even she knew that "costume" was bad. So bad it was scary. Did that mean in terms of Halloween it was good? The logic that had to go into that thought and concept was not healthy for the function of her brain and mind. It was best, and more polite, to ignore the tragedy her eyes could not help but notice.
"Hellllooooo! You two look thirsty! Here's some punch for you!" The oddly dressed volunteer said with a bright wide smile that was borderline creepy. She tossed a plastic potion bottle at Victoria, clearly expecting the brunette to be paying attention enough to catch it. "And some for you!" The woman giggled loudly. To the point of it seeming so forced that it was annoying even Samira. Then, in one quick awkward instant, the giggles stopped. The volunteer frowned. "Oh, snickerdoodles!" She yelled while stomping her foot on the ground beneath her. "I think those are the normal punch potions. You two look adventurous! You get the enchanted ones! Gimme one quick second here."
A finger snap later caused a giant cauldron to appear. It was filled with a bright smoking bubbling liquid that changed color every few seconds. Although questionable in appearance, the strong aroma was that of a standard fruit punch. The volunteer ladled up some of the "potion" into a bottle. Without asking, she took away the original punch Samira had been given and forcefully gave her the enhanced alternative. She'd also do the same to Victoria if allowed to do so. Otherwise, she'd just leave it floating there. Yes, floating. The thing was enchanted to do so instead of falling onto the ground when rejected. Someone would take it eventually. "Okie dokie. These are MAGIC potions." The volunteer waved her hand for even more emphasis as if her tone didn't indicate that enough already. "When you drink it you'll get a super fun effect that lasts... well I'm not sure how long but it'll be enough to get some entertainment out of it! Tee hee!" Her eyes widened, staring at some other partygoers that were doing nothing but standing around. "Oh! More victims! Erm, I mean more thirsty-looking people that look like they can take a joke. Haha. See you around!" And there it was. That witch had more fun seeing what enchantments people got rather than being at all interested in serving punch.
Samira didn't object to the woman leaving. That did leave the matter of the potion though. She could have used a drink, but was it worth drinking an enchanted potion? Could it have been any worse than the other enchanted activities she had participated in in the past? Shrugging, Samira decided to take the chance. She took a large sip and swallowed. The taste was fruity and pleasant. Not too sweet or tangy at all. But what were its effects? Seconds after drinking the punch she felt.. lighter? Was that the accurate description? How odd. Then she noticed the rest. Her body had become translucent like a ghost and there was a faint ghostly aura around her. Not too bad of an effect. It could have been worse and to be honest, she quite liked it. A ghostly witch. Ha. Two costumes in one. "This could have turned out much worse," Samira stated, remembering the past when she and Leona had decided to take part in the enchanted gift game. Thank goodness the punch did not have that same effect, or if it did she lucked out big time. Gambling with festival magic effects. This had to be some kind of weird addiction.
