There were tons of jobs and Tad had been busy doing as many as he could. With tastes as fine and particular as Tad's, you need a lot of jewels to help buy the things you want. Some jobs were just around the corner and some, like this one, weren't. Tad had never visited Sakuramori before, but he'd heard some rumors and now he was here to do a job. No one was quite sure how it had happened, but the moose population had gotten ridiculously overpopulated. They were so numerous that they were removing leaves under 12 feet high and fields where grass had been were now nothing more than dirt and mud patches. For that reason, Tad had come to help thin the herd of majestic moose.

Having purchased a nice, fur lined overcoat, Tad was ready to venture out into the forest and remove some moose from the population. The job request required Tad remove 15 moose in order to complete the request and Tad's summoning magic was perfect for this as he could utilize a large number of his summons to help him hunt and kill his targets. Of course, that didn't mean he'd leave all the fun to the summons. As he arrived at the edge of the forest, Tad looked into it. The rumors about Sakuramori's beauty weren't exaggerated, he discovered. He was also curious what kind of mysterious creatures he might find in there while hunting the moose.

After stepping past the first tree, Tad felt an odd magical aura within the forest, like it was some how trying to discourage leaving. The lanky mage wasn't sure what to make of the feeling but decided being cautious was better than being in trouble. He drew one of his throwing daggers and threw it out of the forest as it fell to the dirt. He knew that he could teleport himself back to the knife if he needed to. After that was done, Tad began summoning from his Material Advantage magic. This magic allowed him to summon soldiers from two armies. They, he hoped, would be really successful in killing moose. First, White King appeared, then White Pawn I followed by White Pawn II, then White Bishop, and lastly was White Knight. Tad had purposely not summoned any of the Black Army, because the two opposing sides had a tendency to attack eachother when summoned together. It was something Tad was still working the kink out of.

"Now, our goal is simple. We have to kill 15 moose. Pawns, do your thing. King, you too. White Knight and White Bishop, you can go on your own and do your best." After that, both Pawns activated their ability to replicate so where two Pawns once stood, eight now stood in their place. The eight White Pawns ran off together, prepared to slay any dangerous moose that might cross their path. The White Bishop watched and Tad was sure there was an amused expression under his mask. With a gust of speed, White Bishop took off into the forest on his own. White Knight went in the opposite direction. White King did as kings tend to do: he allowed his subordinates to do the work while he lounged around. In truth, Tad had expected this but the White King was needed to utilize his other soldiers, so a necessary evil.

Tad wondered what he should do. On the one hand, he could sit down and enjoy the forest's beauty and allow his summons to do all his work or, on the other, he could join them in slaughtering large mammals. He decided on something in the middle: using his Cumberbund's ability to alter gravitational forces, Tad ran up a tree to the very top. From there, he could see a decent portion of the forest. This would allow him to act as a targeting system, telling his summons where to go. He could also jump from tree to tree, using the Cumberbund to ensure he didn't fall and break a leg.

Meanwhile, the eight White Pawns rushed through the trees, sending all of the birds flying into the air and all the other creatures scurrying away. Eventually, the squad of Pawns found a moose that just looked at them oddly, as if they didn't belong in his majestic forest. The Pawns split up attempting to surround the large mammal. As they moved closer, their spears pointed at the beast, the moose turned and took off, his speed quite surprising to the Pawns for such a large creature. They had no hopes of catching up and Tad began to wonder if the Pawns were going to be useful at all. That was when a flash of white came through the trees. Tad smiled as the White Knight's lance pierced through the moose's torso. The Pawns seemed a bit disgruntled that their kill had been taken from them, but Tad didn't much care. He moved to another tree, keeping his eyes open for more moose. Eventually, he found one and signaled to the others where it was.

Tad watched and pointed towards the moose as he found them. White Bishop seemed able to take out moose all on his own. His speed and ranged attack allowed him to find moose quickly and take them down before they had a chance to run away. White Knight also proved capable of killing the moose. Her physical skills were a bit higher than White Bishop's, plus she could teleport and attack the moose with considerable ease. Of course, both, White Knight and White Bishop, took advantage of the White Pawns scaring moose in their direction. By the end of the day, White Bishop had killed 7 moose and White Knight had killed the other 8, though one of the Pawn's spears did inflict a little damage on one of them before White Bishop's magical attack took the beast down for good. Tad was pleased with their success and used his Holster's ability to teleport himself back to the dagger he'd left outside the forest.
