Lineage Name: Disciple of the Monkey King
Wielder: Reina Darksteel
Purchase Proof: post #366
Description
Descent of the monkey king is a common enough fable. For his brawl in heaven, Sun Wukong was struck down and buried under a mountain unable to escape. From this fall, his blood spilled out, a rare feat to wound one immortal five times over. A villager by chance took the blood and healed himself with it. Later his descendants would be able to call upon a small sliver of Sun Wukong's power. However, those with this blood in them have the potential to achieve something even greater. Like a seed, certain individuals are able to grow the power within them and have it become something more, them being able to call upon more of the Monkey King's abilities. Sometimes the individual strides to perfect themselves and happen on this by chance, other times in the pursuit of nirvana they awaken this. And sometimes, Sun Wukong himself decides totorment guide them so they may achieve more. Reina falls into this third category.
While Reina may complain about the process, the results are uncanny. With his blood in her by chance long ago, she has been able to mimic to a lesser degree many of his powers and abilities. And even if only possessing a fraction of his prowess, her abilities as a mage has been increased ten-fold.

While Reina may complain about the process, the results are uncanny. With his blood in her by chance long ago, she has been able to mimic to a lesser degree many of his powers and abilities. And even if only possessing a fraction of his prowess, her abilities as a mage has been increased ten-fold.
Abilities:
- Monkey King's heavenly figure: While not being able to crack moons by itself or leap over mountain ranges, she is able to use the full potential in her bloodline without exertion, enjoying user rank buffs to her strength and speed up to S-rank.(2)
- Monkey King's reckless nature: The monkey king before his ascension to nirvana was a violent reckless soul, which said trait appears to be a genetic one. The user gains a base increase to their speed by 50%, but has their base spell healing reduced by 50%. (1)
- Monkey King's signature arsenal: Much like the monkey king's Ruyi Jingu Bang, the user now has the ability to call upon their own signature weapon with ease. This is reflected by the user gaining a signature requip spell that can be used in any of their magics. Said signature spell ranks up with the user up to a max of S, and must be graded as normal otherwise. (1)
- Shen Wai Shen Fa: The user, while not to the Monkey King's extent, is able to produce a clone of herself by removing a portion of her hair. This clone is a exact replica of the user when she summons it, having the same magic, abilities, and equipment Reina is currently wearing. However, the clone comes in with only half the health of Reina's hp(unaffected by any health buffs the user has) and both the clone and her share the same mana pool. The clone and Reina cannot cast spells or activate abilities independently of one another, however the clone can copy a spell or active ability by casting it for the equivalent to it's mana cost when applicable(up to a max of S+ rank spells). Finally the clone posses a thick brushy monkey tail(This irritates Reina to no end). 5 posts duration, 6 posts cooldown.(2)
- Huo Yan Jin Jing: Gained in a similar manner to how the Monkey King's gained his, Reina now posses Fiery red eyes. These eyes are not just for show though. Reina is now able to effortlessly detect disguises, illusions, and transformations when she sees them. This ability by itself does not mean she can see through it however.(1)
- Monkey King's Fortune: For a being who had become five times immortal, their has to be immense luck involved. So much so that a sliver has been passed down to the user, allowing them to gain 100% jewel reward upon a job completion. (1)
- Monkey King's Jade body: The monkey king's journey to the legend he is was not a easy one, but being made out of solid rock certainly helps. Reina has gained this aspect to a lesser degree, her body having enough of the substance to make a noticeable difference. She gains a damage resistance of 25% and a 50% base increase to her spell durability. Her base spell damage however is reduced by 50% and her spells cost 25% more mana to cast due to the defensive nature of this trait.(2)
- Monkey King's Shapeshifting: She truly couldn't be considered a disciple if she didn't know his core trick. Reina can now shapeshift in objects, animals, and people with ease. However if she transforms into another person she will have a thick brushy monkey's tail while changed. Even if this wasn't a issue, she may give off a aura of wrongness that others will know without fail that she is disguised(Need OOC permission for successfully disguising herself as a PC, NPC owned by a player, or event NPC's).(plot)
- Monkey King's Renewal: While Reina is not immortal, she does have something similar. If a killing blow is landed on her in battle, she will suddenly turn metal before fading away to rust in the wind. After her death she will appear farther away in whatever she was wearing when she died. Where she appears however is completely dependent on the Monkey King's will, and he also decides how she revives. She may revive in a horse stable or need to break out of a jail cell, it's really up to his whim. This only applies to deaths in battle; old age, sickness, or the tragic accident will not trigger this ability(plot).
