-Diana's Townhouse, the mini-kitchen, 11:00 A.M.-
Wearing her usual outfit of purple t-shirt, black skirt, white thigh-high stockings, and black tennis shoes, Diana stood in the mini-kitchen listening to the television she had bought just a few days ago. It was a wall-mounted 60" flatscreen television that was perfect for Diana's needs. It was a good-quality television that had a large screen that was big but was not overly large to the point of being hard to watch anything on. Ami was pleased with it and was watching a car auction show set in Motor City with rapt attention.
Diana was not nearly as invested in the television as Ami was... Diana was busy rummaging in the refrigerator for a drink and listening to the auction of an old silver sports car that was produced thirty years ago when the doorbell rang. The blonde emerged from the refrigerator and shut the door.
"I wonder who's at the front door? Want me to get it?" Ami asked Diana without looking away from the television as the latter walked out of the mini-kitchen.
"I will get it, thank you." Diana politely turned down the winged android's offer to get the door in favor of answering the door herself. Diana walked briskly across the living room and walked to the door. She unlocked it and opened it to find Amber standing outside.
"Hey Diana!" Amber greeted Diana warmly. Before the blonde could reply Amber reached out and grabbed Diana in a tight hug. Diana's skin crawled as she silently endured the hug until she was released from it.
"Hello Amber." Diana greeted the dark-haired young woman once she was free from the latter's unexpected embrace. Diana looked at Amber and saw that the latter was dressed in a white t-shirt and a short black skirt with white tennis shoes. Amber made eye contact with Diana.
"I've come here to tell you that I finally got a day off. If you're still up for it, I'd like to go to a movie later today." Amber informed Diana. The blonde thought back to their last meeting and remembered that Amber had wanted to go to a movie whenever she had a day off of work. Amber had been forced to take a rain check, but today she was here to cash it in.
"I am still up for it." Diana calmly informed her sort-of neighbor. Amber smiled.
"Great! I talked to Catherine and she'll be going with us... if you don't mind her joining us, that is." Amber informed Diana that a third person would be joining them for the trip.
"That is fine with me." Diana replied calmly. She had no problem with a third person joining them, especially since she knew the individual.
"Great! Listen, I've gotta get our tickets, so I'll catch up with you later. I'll see you again around 4:15 P.M.!" Amber informed Diana that the former had to go get their tickets. Diana wondered why Amber had not already obtained them, but she was not going to question it.
"All right then. See you later, Amber." Diana replied calmly.
"See you later, Diana!" Amber replied. She then turned right and started walking away. Diana shut the door and walked back into the living room, where Ami was still facing the television.
"I couldn't help but to hear that you're going to the movie theater with some friends later today." Ami said while watching the car auction. Diana caught a glimpse of the screen and saw that the current bid on the silver sports car was at 250,000 Jewels. Diana was not impressed with the sports car... she did not have any knowledge of automobiles, so she did not know what was so special about the silver sports car that it merited a bid of 250,000 Jewels.
"Yes, Ami. I am going to the movie theater with Amber and our mutual friend Catherine." Diana calmly informed her faithful android companion of her plans for later in the day. While calling Amber and Catherine "friends" was something of a stretch, they were definitely acquaintances of hers that she was on friendly terms with. Maybe those two could one day become friends to Diana like Ami and Aliarey Casady were.
"That's great, Diana. I'm glad to hear that you're doing something other than working all the time or staying holed up in here." Ami said to the blonde. Diana was amused by Ami's keen interest in the television and did not hold Ami's not looking at her as they spoke against her.
"I have some time before Amber returns, so I will go try to pick out another outfit to wear. If all else fails I will just wear this one." Diana told Ami what her next move was.
"Go for it, Diana." Ami replied. Diana wordlessly walked out of the living room and headed for the stairs that would take her to the second floor. Maybe she could combine enough clothes to make a decent outfit that was a good alternative to what she was wearing now. As much as Diana liked the combination she was wearing, wearing a different outfit to the movie theater might be in order.
