A tall figure of a pale young man entered a dark room. His lean yet imposing figure was draped in a blood red long coat, his crimson red eyes gazed into the dark. He then moved his gaze down to a folder containing information regarding the current active and notable legal guilds. "My lady... have you decided what would be our next move?" The man inquired. The was a silence, and from the darkness of the room two cold golden eyes opened and gazed back. A woman voice echoed in the dark room, it was slow and deliberate indicating she was clearly in charge of the conversation. "We join a guild that lines with our goals... gather our strength once more... when our wounds have healed and our strength replenished.... we do what we do best... we hunt..." A burst of flame ignited in the once unkindled fire place. The flames crackled and the light instantly flooded the room. With the darkness pushed back to the corners of the room, the figure was revealed to be that of a young woman with blood red hair and golden eyes.

"Very well my lady... which guild will we be aligning with then?" The man inquired as a sadistic grin curled on his lips upon hearing the mention of hunting. The woman remained silent not answering right away, her fingers tracing the lip of a cup of half whiskey. "We join the roses.... for now...." The woman finally declared to her attendant. "We leave tomorrow..." the woman spoke once again in her calm and measured cadence. She lifted up the cup of whiskey and took a drink from it. The man bowed and turned around to leave the room. As his hand wrapped around the door knob the woman spoke again.

"Oh... V.... be sure to be on your best behavior during our introductions..." The woman's eyes locked at the back of the head of the tall red clad individual. The young man let out a deep chuckle before responding to his master. "But of course my lady..." V smiled before giving his lady a respectful bow before excusing himself.

The next day....

In the dim caverns a two pairs of eyes glowed in the shadows, one blood red the other golden. Their footsteps echoed as the navigated through the caverns aided only by the dull pink light the glowed at the end of tunnel. Upon reaching the end of the tunnel the two were greeted by the open ravine which housed the guild hall of the illustrious Luminous Rose. The area was illuminated by swashes of pink hues. The area was adorned by countless pink and white rose petals. The two evetually found their way to the edge of the ravine leading to the main guild hall. V gazed down at the flood of pink bellow before turning to his master.

"It's rather....pink...." V with a mild undertone of disdain in his voice as he spoke aloud. His read headed master remained stoic and pokerfaced. As her golden eyes scanned the area. "Now... how the bloody hell are we going to cro-" V muttered only to cut himself off as he watched his master step off into the ravine. With one confident step after the other the red headed monster hunter made it a third across before turning back to her familiar. V sighed and took a step forward, his feet found purchase onto nothingness, almost like walking on window panes. However unlike his master he walked ahead, his skin began to burn ever so slightly. his initial steps first was met with slight resistance as if he was walking through an invisible wall of jello. However upon locking eyes with his master, he broke through and eventualy catching up with his master.

"Took you long enough." The red headed woman said in her monotonous tone as she proceeded to walk towards the guild hall. V simply chuckled at his masters playful jab. V took another steps, this time clearly unhindered at all. Side by side the two walked in tandem, despite V's taller stature and longer strides in his steps, he respectfully kept pace with his master.

"My apologies my lady... there shouldn't be any issues..." V smiled as the previous burns on his skin healed at a rapid rate until his slight burns completely healed over as if nothing had happened. The two eventually found themselves at the doors to the guild hall of Luminous Rose. The golden eyed lady simply stood there with her signature pokerface, hands in the pockets of her black trench coat. She and V were dressed in formal attire. V wore his blood red trench coat over his black suit, a matching red hat adorned his head, and red tinted round sunglasses perched on the bridge of his nose. His master on the other hand was simple, black  formal long coat, white dress shirt, with matching black slacks, shoes, and tie. The two stood as a clear contrast to the copious amount of pink that decorated the territory.

The red haired mistress kept her cold golden gaze at the doors, with out averting her gaze she gave a nod. V answering the cue of his master then proceeded to knock on the doors of the Guild hall, he cleared his throat before calling out. "Greetings... I am V... my master, Lady Natalia Vanhellsing would like to join your ranks.... hello? Is anyone there?" V called out as Natalia waited patiently a few feet away from him. She wondered about the kind of personalities she would encounter in this new guild, it reality it mattered little to her. Natalia would be whatever they needed to be, she would play pretend and be friends, it wouldn't be too difficult after all it wouldn't be the first time where she's played along with charades of social etiquette and friend making. Natalia was quite confident not only in her skills but the skills of her trusty eldritch butler as well.

Dressed in her best (and only good) casual outfit of black long-sleeved shirt, long white pleated skirt, and brown boots, Lucia carried Shining Light in its holster on her right hip in case she got called on an emergency rescue mission and she needed to leave at a moment's notice. Shining Light was her best defense against the supernatural threats she tended to encounter on rescue missions, missions which typically took her to the dark corners of Fiore. The Holy handgun had saved her life and those she had been sent to rescue several times over the months and Lucia did not travel to very many places without it.

Also at her side was Will, her newest companion. He had joined Lucia a few weeks ago but so far they had not been on any big adventures together. she would have to remedy that soon.

Lucia walked through the guild hall alongside Will and wondered where her sister Diana was right about now. She recalled the fortune teller's prediction at the Halloween Tricks And Treats event in Hargeon Town that Diana was still among the living and that she would need to "look in the city" to find her. That was a really vague hint, but that was all the fortune teller could see. Since Lucia could not see into the future herself, that vague hint was all she really had to go on.

Lucia put that thought on the backburner and tried to decide what she was going to do with her day. She was thinking of looking for work, hopefully something that did not involve a trip to Haunted Guild or Silent Cemetery. However, if that kind of work came up, Lucia would not turn it down not matter how she felt about yet another trip into a dangerous place. Luminous Rose mages were tasked with helping and protecting the innocent and Lucia would not neglect her responsibility.

The blonde's thoughts were interrupted by what she thought was the sound of someone's voice calling out to anyone within earshot. Lucia was not sure if there really was someone in the area or not, but she decided to investigate. Lucia walked closer to the doors and clearly heard a male voice calling out. Will paused and turned to face his companion.

"Hey Lucia, do you hear that?" Will asked the blonde mage. Lucia faced him.

"Yeah, Will. I heard it." Lucia replied to the gray-clad robot's question.

Lucia was not sure if she should answer the call or not. She might be acting way above her pay grade by doing so. She was a recent recruit to the guild, not a veteran member. Lucia took a deep breath and approached the door until she could hear the words the male voice was saying. It sounded like a name being said and a request for someone to join the guild.

"What do you think, Lucia? Is this legitimate or is it just a setup?" Will asked Lucia.

"I think it's legitimate." Lucia replied to Will's question. She faced the door and walked towards it, then put her left hand on it as Will stood back a short distance away in case this whole thing was a setup of some sort. Lucia slowly opened the door and faced the person on the other side of the door. She recoiled as she made eye contact with a well-dressed man wearing a distinctive red coat over an immaculate black suit.

Quickly recovering her composure, Lucia greeted the red-coated stranger.

"Hello there, I'm Lucia Winchester. I couldn't help but to overhear that someone wanted to join Luminous Rose." Lucia greeted the stranger as Will hung back and kept an eye on the meeting.

"Unfortunately, I'm not the one you should talk to about joining. You'd need to talk to an Ace or the Guild Mistress about joining. I'm just an ordinary guild member." Lucia informed the stranger so that he did not mistake her for someone in a position of power. The blonde hoped that she had not made a mistake by opening the door to the man.

The doors finally opened and a beautiful blonde woman greeted Natalia and V. The red headed huntress smiled warmly she walked up to the woman and offered her hand for a hand shake. "A pleasure to meet you miss Lucia, I am Natalia Beowulf Vanhellsing and this man here is butler and dear friend V." Her honey golden eyes confidently making eye contact with her new acquaintance. Natalia's gaze shifted to Lucia's metal companion, Will. "A pleasure to meet you sir." Natalia smiled sweetly to the robot giving him the same respect and warmth she showed Lucia. Natalia would keep her warm demeanor wether or not Lucia shook her hand. Should Lucia shake Natalia's hand, she would find that Natalia's hand was soft and warm just like the smile she wore on her face.

"Unfortunately....? I am in no distress, thank you for informing me and my companion... Although, our meeting is fortunate in my eyes, after all we got to meet you and your friend over there. Hahaha." Natalia chuckled brightly, V followed suit and maintained a bright smile that could almost compete with his masters smile.

"I guess all we can do is wait for someone of authority to come.... we do appreciate you taking your time to welcome us. If you don't mind me inquiring Lady Lucia, what is the name of your friend over there?" V's words left his lips in a smooth charming manner as he took a few strides until he was at his masters side.

Natalia looked up and stroked her chin with her hand, giving the expression of curiosity. "Do you happen to know if there is any requirements? Perhaps documents that are needed before one could join this guild? I do apologize if we are bombarding you with questions, we simply want to join the guild as soon as we can" Natalia spoke her words in a measured tone, not rushing nor trying to conform to anyones standard in anyway. She spoke deliberately and with confidence, just like how a person of authority would speak to people. Despite the confidence in her words, there was not a drop of hubris found in the cadence of her speech. It was clear, she was a woman who knew what she wanted, a woman of etiquette and class.

The two gave off a sense of nobility, but aura around them was incredibly warm and welcoming.

Lyra Karant
Doing Someone Else's Job?

Five minutes prior...

Four people sat assembled in a big apartment-style building. Though each of them were all doing wildly different things, it was clear that they enjoyed each others' company considerably. Three of them were sisters. The fourth, one of their close friends, and in this case, their student. They did spend a considerable amount of time together, which wasn't entirely unusual for student and teacher, but as far as Lyra was concerned the three Faulkner sisters were almost like family to her anyway. At this point, they might as well have been, considering how little of her own actual family that she saw. If that was the case, well, it was a real good family to have picked up anyway.

"Hey, Lyra, do us a favour?" asked Blair idly, flipping through the pages of an idol magazine. Sizing up the competition, no doubt, considering what she wanted to do with herself, which was to follow in the footsteps of the guildmistress and, as anyone who knew her well would totally say out loud, her crush.

"Of course, Blair, what's up?" asked Lyra in reply, taking a very deliberately measured sip of her tea. The porcelain cup raised to her lips, she drank deeply of her warm beverage, savouring the milk and sugar kept within. She was rather enjoying the quiet, honestly, but this was an important thing too. She would, unhesitatingly, listen to the request that her friends made. Normally there was a hierarchy to all this: Jamie was level headed, Mysie was chaos, and Blair was just kind of out there. Both Jamie, who was also drinking tea with Lyra, and Mysie, who was on a bed reading a book, looked up at their middle sister.

"Can you take this stamp, and the next person who comes along that you get a really good feeling about, can you try stamping them for us?"

"Blair, that's not--" Jamie began to protest, but she was cut off by Blair standing up and putting down her magazine.

"It's fine! Lyra can handle herself, she's a big girl. Besides, it'll be a good test for-"

"Shhhhhh!" Jamie hissed, glaring at her younger sibling. She wasn't supposed to talk about that. Jamie looked at her student, a frown forming on her face. "But you know... maybe it's not a bad idea. Lyra, as crazy as she is, I think you should do it."

A long sigh. This definitely, undoubtedly, sounded like some kind of trap. Really, Lyra wanted to know what they'd meant by certain things they'd said, but nothing had been spoken by the rose quartz mage on that particular front. She wasn't about to spill anything, nor was she ready to go and make things uncomfortable for anybody present. Meanwhile, Mysie was just chilling out and enjoying herself and not caring about the weird ruckus that was going on. Probably the best way to be, honestly.

So Lyra took custody of the stamp from Blair, who giggled with glee. This was going to be good. Real good.

And now...

In not-so-stark contrast to Natalia and V's vibe that they gave off, there was an actual, sudden onrush of calming emotion; one that was likely magical in nature. One of the side effects of Lyra's magic now was that she just caused it, whether she wanted to or not - it was more like a marker that, yes, Lyra was in fact present, and not so much a forced attempt to calm everyone around them down.

The rose quartz mage seemed to appear right as the doors opening, fluttering in on pink wings that vanished the moment she came to just within walking distance of the two-- no, four-- that had gathered. One was Lucia, that much was for sure. And hey, thanks to a jump in logic and some wibbly wobbly timey wimey mismanagement, this would technically be the first time that Lyra and Lucia actually encountered each other, because certain other things wouldn't make sense, so fluidity of the time-space continuum will now continue to function exactly as intended. While, yes, Lyra did in fact recognise Lucia's face at a distance, they only conversed so much-- or more to the point, they only had so much time to converse before this.

"Oh, a new member? Welcome," said Lyra, knowing full well that only those with the truest intention of joining the guild could actually pass the bubble shield to the Grand Hall. It was one of the wonderful side effects of living in a gilt castle that could just about protect itself from the things that were around them. Lyra loved every second of it, in fact, and now she knew that she could help with this situation. Apparently, Blair was either psychic or knew something she didn't, or more likely-- way more likely, actually-- she had gotten incredibly lucky with a guess. She was definitely good at random guessing.

Lyra took in the group before her: one she knew off the top of her head, Lucia, of course. The other three? No clue. One of them, presumably the other woman, was the one joining. It didn't make too much sense otherwise. So, she directed her gaze at Natalia and smiled warmly.

"I'm Lyra, and I think I can help you with all of that. I'm not an ace, but they did actually send me! Can you tell me a bit about yourself and what brings you to Luminous Rose?" the rose quartz asked; these were standard sorts of questions to get to know the potential new member.
