Job Title: Sanctuary Desolation
Alignment: Dark
Rank: 100-Year
Job Type: Regular Job
Job Location: Islands: Snowfall Island
Solo Word Count: 11,000 words
Group Word Count: 22,000 words
Additional Requirements: N/A
Job Description: Snowfall Island is frozen from one end to the other, that much is certain. However, the client responsible for this job embarked recently on an investigative journey deep into the island’s interior, where he discovered a most interesting phenomenon. In a well-hidden place on the island, there is a region that seems to be quite different from the rest of the area, as far as the frigid temperatures are concerned. It’s a tropical paradise, even if rather small, and your client stumbled on it while trying to traverse the island from one end to the other. The denizens of this little paradise are a little wary of strangers, but they allowed him to rest and refill supplies for his journey, during which time, by snooping around and investigating, he was able to determine that the cause of this difference in weather is due to a strange artifact enclosed in an underground shrine located within the area. This artifact (its form and function are open to be designed) had attracted a unicorn due to its magical power, and the presence of the unicorn has made the region bloom. The denizens expelled him as soon as they discovered his interest in this artifact. Nevertheless, this fellow is undaunted, offering the services of whoever can help him steal this artifact so that he can study it, all in the name of science. Of course, removing the artifact from its shrine may return that area to the frigid conditions that rule the rest of the island, but hey, if you cared about that sort of thing, would you be contemplating taking this job? Your mission, in a few words, is to get the artifact, at any cost, and return it to the scientist. But one lovely thing about power is that you can do whatever you want if you have it. Should you take an interest in the artifact, why waste it handing it over to some unscrupulous bookworm? You may keep it for yourself, and do what you will with it. The scientist won’t pay you if this happens, but money isn’t everything, am I right?
Enemies:
Reward: 200,000 jewels OR a custom Artifact weapon/armor/item - Must specify which when handing in the job. The weapon/armor/item reward will be achieved if the artifact is kept for your own and not given to the scientist.

Enemies:
- Local Populace x 20:
The run-of-the-mill inhabitants of this place. They’re not really strong, but someone doesn’t have to be strong to hurt you, if they have sharp pointed sticks. They use crude melee weapons and bows.
Enemy Rank: Weak
- Sanctuary Guardians x 5:
These folk are selected from the local folk, trained, and placed in charge of the underground shrine. They are imposing in size, wear full-facial masks, and their bodies are covered with tattoos. They wield large bone blades and cast fire-based magic.
Enemy Rank: Normal
- Nature Spirits x 3:
Three unnatural spirit beasts, which have been drawn by the power of the artifact, and have made their home in the shrine. They seem to represent the earth, sea, and sky, and as such, each respectively bears resemblance to a creature associated with what concept it represents. They cast magic based on their representative concepts and may attack with their body parts as well.
Enemy Rank: Strong
- Divine Beast:
It seems that the artifact has bonded a unicorn to it; the presence of the unicorn is responsible for the favorable natural conditions. The unicorn attacks with its horn, its hooves, and uses nature-based magic. You cannot take the artifact as long as the unicorn is still alive.
Enemy Rank: Boss
Reward: 200,000 jewels OR a custom Artifact weapon/armor/item - Must specify which when handing in the job. The weapon/armor/item reward will be achieved if the artifact is kept for your own and not given to the scientist.
