Joyan Jumble

It had been a while since she’d visited Joya and the brunette haired kitsune cheerfully cursed herself for that. The atmosphere was just so happy and friendly that she felt incredibly at home among the natives. So much cheerfulness and already Menka had found herself sidling up to a few people who had caught her eye, her natural flirtatiousness going down a treat here. There were cat girls, dog girls, heck, even a few fox girls like her. An absolute wonderland for those who loved the company of human animal hybrids and Menka couldn’t help but wonder if she had actually been born in Joya instead of Midi. A joke of course, one that her mother would probably give her hell about but who gave a damn about her. Menka was supposed to be on the job, helping keep the peace while the Bellum and Pergrande treaty was being signed but she had to admit that it was difficult to keep her mind on the job, with so many lovely sights and sounds around her.

There was little else to do at first than simply patrol and Menka simply did that, exploring the stalls and chatting to the natives. They were all so poilite and friendly, which made her feel so at home. She could have easily got lost in the vibe of the place and as she tried to take in all of the sights and smells, the brunette wondered who would even want to stir up trouble here. Surely the treaty was for the best, right? Peace was better than war, after all. Who'd have a problem with that?

For a while, it seemed that most of the people she met agreed with her and as the curious kitsune continued to patrol, she began to wonder if the job was just going to be a nice and easy one. There didn’t seem to be a single person wearing a frown or hurling abuse and she was hopeful that it would continue to be the case. However, as she reached a rather crowded spot, her sensitive hearing began to pick up angry voices and without a moment to waste, she moved swiftly towards the ruckus, wanting to put a stop to the trouble before things developed further.

The closer she got, the louder the noise became and as her keen hearing picked up on what precisely was being said, a sigh escaped her. It seemed that a group who were against the treaty were starting to make a ruckus. There were quite a few of them altogether and as the brunette approached them, half a dozen of them swiftly turned towards her and drew weapons. They were clearly expecting someone to stop them and unfortunately that seemed to have to be her.

With a sigh, Menka would tap into her magic and summon a pair of lightning claws before leaping into the middle of the group. Her opponents all seemed to be wielding swords but she wasn’t all that worried and was soon in her elements, her claws easily strong enough to handle the blades used against her. They troublemakers weren’t all that tough either and soon enough, she’d managed to subdue them, with just a few slashes from her powerful spell. It was all too easy but in truth, she was simply trying to end things as soon as possible.

The local authorities soon appeared to take the troublemakers into custody and although they gave Menka a funny look, the leader of them eventually gave her an approving nod, before arresting the attackers. It hadn’t taken much out of her and she was swiftly on her way again through the crowd, her nine tails for not actually making her stand out. She didn’t really look all that different from the natives, something that she quite appreciated.

As she continued with her patrol, her mind soon started to drift as she became more and more interested in the people around her. They were all so cute and the dirty side of her mind soon came to the surface. Maybe she could take a little break and have some fun? Just for a few minutes?

Sadly, that option was rather rudely taken from her as the sound of trouble started to rear its ugly head again. Looking up, Menka noticed a group of three seemingly half goat, half human people who seemed to be attacking the natives. She couldn't allow that of course and so the kitsune started to make her way through the crowd again.

The three seemed to notice her and as Menka activated her lightning claws and moved into engage with them, they started to focus their attacks on her. A barrage of earth type spikes would come hurtling towards the kitsune, forcing the vixen to have to dodge and evade them. Fortunately, she was swift enough and able to close the distance.

When she got into range, Menka would start to charge herself with lightning and propel herself forwards, building up a lot of speed in a short space of time and smashing into the first goat woman she encountered. It was quite a nasty blow and the woman was hurled off of her feet but Menka easily rolled through and ended up upright again. The fight was well and truly on now.

It turned into a bit of a brawl and Menka kept things tight, launching blows with her lightning charged fists in order to keep the reeling goat woman on the defensive. She didn't want to hurt the woman too much but there wasn't much option and so with a powerful combination, Menka knocked her down and out for the count, before turning to the other two.

As quick as a flash, she leapt towards her next victim, lightning surrounding her entire form. The remaining two goat girls darted for cover to try and escape but Menka wasn't having any of it. With a wild howl, a massive blast of electricty would emerge and strike her opponents hard, stunning them and causing their bodies to spasm.

That was about it from them really and once the kitsune's attack had finished, they fell into unconsciousness. Menka somehow didn't think that'd be the end of it though and returned to her patrol, wandering off through the streets again. This was turning out to be more work that she'd bargained for.

The crowd were a lot more rowdy now and as Menka weaved her way through the forever ending groups of people, she couldn't help but wonder about the goat girls. They weren't strong enough to do any real harm so what had they been doing? Were they a diversion or just trouble makers?

Whoever they were, they didn't seem to be alone and soon enough, Menka came across another group of rather rowdy folks. They were fighting amongst themselves for some reason and as the kitsune sighed and charged herself up again, she started to wonder if she'd bitten off more than she could chew with this mission.

The people started throwing stones at her as soon as they saw her which forced the kitsune to have to release a blast of lightning at the group. They all scattered quickly, diving out of the way and leaving her way clear. An easy encounter but she was becoming more and more worried. Just what was going on?

Things had started out so well and the brunette had to admit that she was a little disappointed that the situation had become so violent. The Joyans were known to be a peaceful people from what she’d been told, so why would they become so aggressive so quickly? It didn’t make sense and a sigh escaped her as she plowed on, her keen hearing soon picking up on more raised voices.

Soon enough, she came across a large lion like Joyan who was wielding a large battle axe. He didn’t seem too happy to see her and without any warning, the warrior charged towards the kitsune, swinging his weapon with all his might. Swiftly, Menka would jump to her right, dodging the blow, before firing a bolt of lightning that caught him in the flank. The fight was on.

He was certainly stocky and the lightning attack that she hit him didn’t even knock him down. With a roar he’d leap towards her, showing no sign of damage at all and the vixen was hard pressed to evade silkily again, before channeling her lightning powers once again and slamming her fist into his back. Perhaps this would do something?

He certainly was knocked forward but still the lion didn’t go down and instead swung around and delivered a powerful blow with his axe. Menka was forced to duck under the blow, before surrounding her fists with lightning again and delivering a powerful combo to his body. She didn’t hold back this time and the force of her attacks sent him flying, hitting the ground hard.

The lion-like male was still going though and he jumped back to his feet, roaring with rage as he soon charged her again, axe in hand. Menka by now though was getting a little tired of duelling with him and channelled a large amount of lightning, before releasing it in a powerful burst that knocked him unconscious the moment it hit him. It wasn’t an attack that the kitsune liked using but he had forced her into it.

With the lion man now finally out of commission, Menka was able to continue with her patrol of the area. The place was becoming more out of control by the moment and the kitsune was sure that things were only going to get worse. Oh, why'd she chosen this job of all of them to do?

Her patrol would actually be rather quiet for about ten minutes or so but soon enough, the sounds of trouble would reach her ears again. With an annoyed sigh, Menka would increase her pace, prepared to do what was necessary to keep the peace. Just how many maniacs were there in Joya today?

Sure enough, another lion like warrior would be awaiting her and without any hesitation, Menka would dart in close and try to overwhelm him with her lightning claws. There weren't anymore cheerful quotes or witty one liners from her. She was tired of all the chaos and as she ducked under his attack and struck him with a powerful blow, she truly wished that the job would end.

There were sparks all over the place as the two fought but Menka was in such perfect sync with her powers that she was soon overpowering him, pushing him backwards at a steady pace. A mighty combination with her claws caught him clean on the chin and he went down, hitting the ground hard.
