A frown settled onto Myrrh's face as she looked over the large grouping of weeds settled into the countryside. It was about a mile-off from where that herbalist woman lived, Beanstalk Village, the giant patch of purple making it quite easy to find if you actually decided to look. This was to be her first job since joining Luminous Rose, and despite the apparent ease the job description gave, she couldn't help the strange feeling that pooled in her stomach. It wasn't fear, but it was something similar...sort of like a worry or an uneasiness...

Shoving the confusing emotions away, for now, the demon would once again turn her focus to the large patch of oversized weeds. Teal eyes narrowed slightly as she examined them further, dark purple with three, long, barbed leaves each. While it was faint, the presence of magic emanating off of them was still there; so she had no doubts about these being the correct weeds. Although honestly, it's not like there's an abundance of giant purple weeds just hanging around - so even without magic sense you'd be able to tell.

Letting out a sigh, Myrrh would begin to spin on her heel - looking around for the woman that was supposed to be on this job with her. The herbalist had told her that she actually had arrived second, and that the other free-lance mage was taking care of some business in the village before heading out. Of course, Myrrh being the dummy she was decided to just go on ahead and wait for her here. The results of which being obvious. Perhaps she had gotten lost..?

Gods the thought made that feeling return again, nervousness and unease settling in as she realized things might have gone awry already. Damnit, the word was right on the tip of her tongue... "Anxious!"

This was far from her idea of an ideal job.

Morbid as it was, Lothric was a bit more partial to killing. It's what she was good at. Quite good at, in fact. Something about the thrill she felt. Something about the feeling.
Bah. It was of no matter now. Early as she had been, the time for action drew close. Rather, it had five minutes ago. And passed. And for another five, the aforementioned free-lance mage still didn't show. T'was not for twelve additional minutes that Lothric showed up, her footfalls near silent.
She scried the girl. Didn't like what she saw.

Lothric's one eye, big and bloody red, unsubtly scanned her partner. It lingered around her horns. For a long time, lingered around her horns. Not like Lothric, dressed in a tattered black coat what was open in the front with a sword at her hip and an eye missing, looked much less strange. Even more so, in fact, when her scared left eye opened. Aside from being faded, a cloudy blue white; it looked like it had nearly been cut in half. An unsubtle scar cut her iris in half, before it transitioned to her skin. But how Lothric looked at the girl for those first few moments was truly something terrible. Two things she did not want to be reminded about; dragons, and fire.
She huffed out her nose. An audible sound of contentment as her scrying gaze relented and her orbs turned to the plants. Her blank left eye fell closed again, oddly seeming to comfort the girl who dared not speak. Inhale. Exhale. Her hand raised, fingers curled, and she beckoned the oddity to follow.

T'was not far to the plants. Lothric eventually turned, though, and motioned for the girl to stop. "Stay out of the circle." Her voice was quiet. You might call it stoic if it wasn't pitched according to her diminutive size. Not too high, but just high enough. Refusing to elaborate, Lothric walked dangerously close to the plants. Not close enough to be touched, of course, but close enough to grab the lot of them in her range. She took a knee, and placed her palm on the ground. A single check was made that the other had not wandered into her range, before she whispered something under her breath. A gold ring rose from the ground 30 meters around Lothric, indicating that aforementioned circle, and fissures raced to meet it. The ground was, consequently, fractured several dozen ways. Once more, Lothric looked over her shoulder to ensure that the girl had not stepped inside; the ring burned brightly. There was a second half to this, evidently, and it was rather important that it only it who she intended it to.

A simple nod was all the woman received as she began to work, the sudden magic circle that appeared underneath the plants obviously a set up for an oncoming attack. The mage was obviously of the quiet sort, and as much as Myrrh wanted to introduce herself, she knew the timing wasn't correct. Focus was important for a mage, especially mid-cast, interrupting would simply be bad ettique on her part. Of course, she was not  one to be idle and used this opportunity to examine the woman.

Decent stature, with a tattered, well-worn cloak. A long vertical scar running down her left eye, but not to the point where it sealed the lid shit. The woman had either practiced gritting through the pain to the point where she didn't notice it, or the wound was more shallow than it appeared. Regardless, it was clear that she was experienced in battle. From the way she walked to the lightning-quick scrying, it was clear that speed and efficiency were her name to fame; something that Myrrh could get behind.

Of course, following that logic, Myrrh couldn't help but frown as she realized that standing here was awfully inefficient. She could be prepping a method of attack, or setting up for when the mage was finished. Really doing anything other than just standing around would be ideal. "Draconic Soul: Wyvern." Her voice was steady as she called upon her magic, allowing her soul and flesh to take over the appearance of the spell's namesake. Green scales would cover her form fully, stopping at her chin and cheeks to frame her face; while sharp claws formed alongside her wings, a long reptilian tail erupting from her tailbone as her hair shifted into a dark brown shade. To finish off the look, black armor and chainmail would cover her vitals.

Tensing her legs, Myrrh would ready herself before taking off into the sky above the plants, getting a full view of the magic circle and gathering mana in preparation for when the woman was finished.

A twitch of her eye when the girl up and took off. One of those, was she? What was it... Take-over magic? It made her uncomfortable. Thinking that any beast could be a person in disguise. She was very good at killing people, but no longer did she... Enjoy it.
Or did she simply not let herself enjoy it? Was she repressing the feeling? Suppressing it?
    Semantics.

Her hand raised from the grass and balled into a fist; a fist which, consequently, slammed into the ground with force. The fissures cracked open, pebbles and dust flying as spikes of rock jutted out of the earth; a tremble would have been felt if the girl had stayed standing. A minor tremor. Evidently, powerful.
But with it came Lothric's withdrawal from her position, rising to her feet. Her eye locked with the girl whose name she did not know off in the sky, and her hand raised. A little wave; a gesture to do the rest. She certainly could have kept going, but just that had already put a sizeable dent in her mana pool; besides, it would have been poor etiquette to show up late and yet still do all the work herself. Lothric herself didn't seem in a huge hurry to get out of the way, her pace sluggish and her left arm resting on her hilt, tilting the back of it up a bit. Within a few moments, though, she was quite clear of the plants and what destruction she'd just wreaked on the agricultural use of the area, if there was any. She wasn't particularly educated in... Well, any manner, when she thought about it—figured it was better if she stuck to what she knew, no matter how little that was. Nevertheless, Lothric eventually came to a halt, spun on her heel, and let her one eye be graced with the coming show. "Grab one, will you?" she called, her hand having raised to her mouth to make her admittedly weak voice a bit more loud. "Or, rather, as many as you can." The herbalist had said 'at least' one. T'would be remiss of her to merely satisfy the minimum requirements.

    Myrrh
Myrrh's eyes narrowed as she witnessed the devastation the mage's attack caused, the land shifting and cracking due to the magic, disrupting the roots of the plants and cutting them up considerably. She was so high up she couldn't hear what the woman said, although judging from the way she stepped off - she assumed it was okay to go ahead.

Shifting her position, mid-air, Myrrh would quickly dive straight down towards the epicenter of the plants, doing a flip once she got close enough and slamming her tail against the ground full force - sending a small shockwave throughout the clearing, shattering and cracking the ground even more, and cutting up the plants just a bit. Still, their roots were deep, and grabbing any would still prove detrimental. The solution? Attack again. Feet firmly planted into the ground, she would raise her tail and smack it against the abused ground again, and again, and again - the final shockwave shattering the ground even further and uprooting the group of plants, assuredly killing them.

Pausing for a moment as she looked at the remains of the once bountiful land, she would spot a few samples of the plants whose leaves weren't torn to all hell, three in total. Grabbing them by the roots, she would turn and bound over her partner with a flap of her wings, allowing the take over to recede once she landed. The woman was obviously more experienced, so Myrrh would gesture for her to lead the way back to the village. "Alright. We should be okay to head back to the herbalist now. I...enjoyed working with you?" Her voice was unsure, not quite understanding if it was appropriate to give a compliment in this scenario or not.

An oddity indeed. She'd expected more...

    Fire.

Lothric looked the girl over, towing three plants and all. When she landed, the smaller woman stepped forward. Extended her hand out. Turned it sideways. A handshake. "Lothric." said the girl. No surname, no title, just Lothric. "A pleasure. Let's get moving." Common courtesy to share the burden, thought the girl; but this one seemed to have it quite under control. The last thing they needed was to damage the leaves against the ground with her diminutive stature.

She wasn't one for pleasantries either, it seemed; the black-garbed apparent-samurai spun on her heel with not another word, and fell into a more timely pace of walking. The one of someone who had something else to do. Something that was weighing, evidently, on her mind. But she'd not speak of it nor take the other to speak of it, having a simple acknowledgement to her name and little else. They'd done their job, here. Nothing was left for them but to leave. To turn the bounty in, get paid, and depart. She would say she'd never see this girl again, but she doubted it. Lothric accepted by this point that fate had a way of doing what she thought was impossible. There was little she could do but wait and see—perhaps act surprised when, inevitably, she stared this girl in the eyes once more.
