The Crystalline Panoply is a reflection of the magical abilities and bonds that Lyra has forged. All of these things are in fact crystal-themed, if not actually forged in crystal, such that she has taken the mantle of crystal warrior to heart. Though a crystal may appear to be fragile, it thrums with energy, and when found properly in nature and tempered over time it can be as hard as any steel. This is to reflect Lyra’s nature; the duality of inner strength and fragility interplaying off one another is a very common theme for the rose quartz mage.

Description:

This is a set of plate steel armour with inlaid gold trimmings. The filigree designs on the plate are meant to evoke rose-themed patterns, as if wire-framed to resemble crystal roses. While it is primarily the breastplate and shoulder bells that comprise the armour, it also features gauntlets, greaves and tassets to ensure that the body is well-protected against most types of incoming attack.
