Beaux stood nervously by the entrance of the Silver Moon Inn. Boot-clad feet tapped against the ground over and over. Agitated fingers rolled a flower’s stem back and forth between them. The Rune Knight pushed silver hair out of his face for the umpteenth time. Why was waiting such a torturous task? The minutes ticked by at a snail’s pace. However, that could have been because he arrived thirty minutes early.

Beaux had received an invitation in the mail the other day. It was from Lillian’s Sweets, inviting him to participate in a testing of their new line of wedding services. Since he had apparently helped the company in the past, he was one of their prime contacts for asking assistance. The overly enthusiastic letter had been written in an almost unreadable pink ink, but once Beaux had deciphered it he had readily accepted. He wasn’t quite sure when he had helped the company. The name sounded familiar but the angel couldn’t picture a time when he had been involved with them.

The moment he understood the request, Beaux knew at once who he wanted to invite to participate with him. Thoughts of Iris were always dancing in the corners of his mind and jumped to the forefront at once. Just picturing the violet-haired beauty made the angels’ heart race. Their recent reunion had sparked old feelings within Beaux. Feelings he had let rest came roaring back like a wildfire. He had changed in the time since he had first met Iris, so he felt more confident acting on what he felt.

Thus, he decided to reach out. As much as Beaux hated using his iLac - the thing was so damn confusing! - he figured it was the best way to contact Iris. To ask him in person would be quite nerve-wracking. Honestly, the Knight wouldn’t even know where to find him without asking. Texting was just easier. He had sent a picture of the invitation letter with the words ‘Would you like to accompany me to this?’ Beaux certainly was on the lesser end of tech-savviness, so his words remained as proper as if he were writing a letter.

In the days leading up to the wedding event, Beaux’s anxieties started to get the best of him. Everything was doubted, questioned, and reexamined. Was the outfit he had picked too revealing? Was it too conservative? He knew Iris might prefer him without clothing, honestly. Beaux worried he had been too forward with the invitation. What if Iris didn’t feel as strongly as he had back then? Oh gods, what if he hated the idea of marriage?!

Beaux had done his best to quell the worries, but they still stirred in his subconscious. He had arrived awfully early on the day of, but he was just too riled with anticipation to wait at home any longer. The angel was a ball of excitement and nerves. Thrilled to be seeing Iris again, but worried he would mess it up somehow.

The silver-haired man could feel the sun starting to gently warm his body, especially his chest, where a decent patch of skin was exposed by the two buttons undone at the top of his black shirt. He wore tight blue jeans to accompany it, followed by boots with a slightly pointed toe. Beaux had obsessively styled his hair that morning too, but over time it had returned to its usual endearing flop over part of his face.

Beaux lifted the flower in his hands to observe the petals. It was a rose, rich lavender in color. The beautiful purple petals seemed to be formed by divine hand, curling majestically from the center. There was not a fault to be found on this plant. The angel had decided last minute to get it for Iris. He hoped the gift would be received well. Beaux raised the rose to his nose. Baby blue eyes closed as he took in the scent of the flower. It was sweet and comforted his nerves. He remained there for a while - eyes closed, relaxing, waiting for his long lost lover to arrive.

Post by Iris 5th March 2020, 1:48 am

    appearance:

The text he received was adorably awkward. How could he turn down such a request? Well, he couldn't, therefore he wouldn't. Iris didn't even look very closely at the image of the letter. Beaux could have been inviting him to a root canal and he'd still show up. Unlike his ex-stripper beau, Iris seemed to lack the ability to feel embarrassment or anxiety about anything that wasn't being used to torture him in the sexy way. All he did was look forward to meeting with the silverette again, thrilled they had found each other again despite the circumstances of their reunion. As long as he ignored that his angel boy was in the organization he hated second only to the magic council, he was pleased as punch. The lavender haired man was an expert at ignoring whatever didn't serve him. Beaux held a very special place in Iris's heart, so there was any number of things he'd look over just for a few more moments with him. Even though the alien had been on Earthland for centuries, there were some aspects of humanity that eluded him. He was drawn to Beaux in a way he wasn't anyone else. Most would call it love, and perhaps it was. It had Iris acting in a completely different way than usual. Had he become monogamous? Absolutely not. That thought hadn't even occurred to him, nor would it probably ever. But there was a distinct difference between his purely lustful activities with everyone else and the emotional attachment he'd formed with the man he was meeting today.

As he approached the meeting spot, the man paused to drink in the sight of him. His heart skipped a beat and before he knew it, he was craving the man like a favorite snack. What a beautiful creature, even at a distance. A true testament to the human race's ability to harness aesthetics.

"General~" he purred, coming up to the left of the angel boy and then slipping in front of him. Though the young man was always a sight to behold, the cosmic being couldn't help but let his eyes fall to the rose the precious boy held. "Mmm, seems beautiful minds think alike," he smiled coyly, lifting this own petaled gift up for pale blue eyes to behold. Instead of it being a single rose, though, it was a woven ringlet of various white and light blue flowers that were in season. "A crown~ I hope you'll wear it for me...perhaps only it later~" he said devilishly, wickedly lustful eyes licking up the body that was just as perfect as he remembered and dreamed of. Beaux had guessed right before. Iris found he was wearing entirely too many clothes, but had also accepted that it was a human social construct he'd just have to deal with...while they were in public, anyway.

If Beaux would allow, Iris would waste no time placing his gift upon his head, possibly stealing a surprisingly innocent-seeming kiss on the cheek of his long-lost-lover. Make no mistake, the touchy-feely man wanted nothing more than to drape himself over the other male like a well-worn but stylish coat, but he was trying out a new thing: restraint. The dark mage was generally the one that wanted to be on the teasing end of this game, but again, Beaux changed things up for the currently-male shapeshifter. Beaux was different, therefore Iris was different with him. Iris wanted to torment and test the limits of his angelic partner during the day's festivities...speaking of, what were they doing today, anyway?

With a cheeky glance toward the Inn Beaux was stationed in front of, Iris grinned and tilted his head in a way where his light purple locks fell over one of two suggestive eyes. "My, aren't we forward? Our first proper date and you've already brought me to an inn? Whatever do you have planned for today~?"

Beaux jumped a little as Iris seemed to materialize at his side. He had been so engaged in smelling the rose that the violette’s approach had gone unnoticed. The beating of his heart increased as he took in the other’s appearance. As perfect as ever, he was a sight for sore eyes. Not one thread or hair was out of place. Beaux felt as if every time he saw Iris, it was like he was seeing the beauty for the first time over and over again. That face never ceased to set his heart alight.

“Bonjour, mon cher,” Beaux greeted Iris shyly. It would take him a while to become fully comfortable around the ocular mage again. They had both changed since first they met and the sudden insurgence of feelings within the angel had him treading lightly. Everything had happened quickly during their reunion and he wanted to settle into the rhythms of his dynamic with Iris. Albeit tentative, Beaux was spurred on by his emotions and knew one thing for sure: the man before him caused feelings unlike anyone else had before.

Iris held up his own floral gift and Beaux’s baby blue eyes lit up. “I love it!” he hummed as he gazed at the flowers like they were a precious gemstone. It had been a while since the young man had worn a crown of blossoms on his head. He loved how they accented his hair.

“Of course, mon amor, Beaux replied, tilting his head coyly. He could feel heat rising to his cheeks. Iris’ unabashed lusty words had always made him blush. It seemed that didn’t change over time. The angel could feel Iris’ eyes tracing his body with a wolfish hunger. As much as he would love to just get a hotel and waste away the day alone with his lover, they came to the Silver Moon Inn for a reason today. The desire for an afternoon of lovemaking wasn’t quite enough to conquer Beaux’s sense of responsibility.

Beaux bowed his head a little so Iris could place the flower crown. The petals rested gently upon his hair, the white and blue complementing his silver locks. A sharp inhale was taken as the violette stole a kiss upon his cheek. He was being quite forward already, which wasn’t out of the ordinary. Beaux liked the attention, especially from Iris.

“Er, well, it’s not what you think,” Beaux stammered, his ears turning red. It seemed the ocular mage had forgotten what today’s task was, or perhaps he hadn’t even read the invitation at all! “We’ll be testing some new wedding services from a business called Lillian’s Sweets. It seems as if I’ve worked with them before, but I can’t seem to remember a time that I did. It’s quite perplexing…” The angel shook his head. “Anyways, they decided to host it here. The letter didn’t tell of what all this job entails specifically, so we will just have to see.”

Beaux grabbed up the other man’s hand in his own. The touch gave him a warm feeling in his chest. “We should go in. It’s about to start!” He led Iris to the doors of the Silver Moon Inn, which hissed apart automatically as they approached. The hotel’s interior spoke of its value and clientele. Everything was neat, furnished, and well decorated.

The two approached the front desk with Beaux in the lead. They were cut off by a man who seemed to jump up from nowhere. He was impeccably dressed. His suit had all the formal accessories, from cufflinks made of gold to a neatly folded pocket square. “Ah, you’re here! Just in time,” he greeted cheerfully. “My name is Robert Carlton, but you can call me Bob. I’m a creative director at Lillian’s Sweets and the one who expanded our services to include weddings too! It’s a pleasure to meet you, sirs,” he gave a little bow.

“You as well,” Beaux replied politely, a charming smile on his face. “I am Beaux and this is Iris.”

“Excellent! Let’s jump right into the day. We’ll be starting with outfitting with our stylists, then moving on to the ceremony. After that, the bouquet will be thrown and we’ll move you two over to cut the cake. Lastly, we’ll do the first dance. All of these are new products and services that are in the final testing stage, so there is a chance that things might not go as planned. That’s why we’ve outlined a contract just in case. Feel free to read it over for a minute!” With that, he handed the two men each a clipboard.

Beaux read quickly and closely, seeking out any words that could indicate something sneaky or legally binding. Luckily, there didn’t seem to be anything out of the ordinary. That was, until he reached the last section. The two participants will be temporarily wed for the duration of the event. Once the event is complete, the marriage will be completely dissolved and will hold no legal ramifications. Something about the sentences seemed familiar. Beaux had a sense of déjà vu so strong it nearly made him dizzy. This wasn’t quite like the memory attacks he had experienced months ago. No, this was real - and semi-recent. He’d signed a contract with the same words at some point… but when?

Beaux shook his head to clear the weird sensation and signed the contract. He handed the clipboard back to Bob and waited for Iris to sign his own contract. Despite the odd familiarity of this, the angel was very excited for the afternoon ahead of them.

    ❃Wait, Haven't We Done This Before?❃ Empty Re: ❃Wait, Haven't We Done This Before?❃

Post by Iris 17th March 2020, 1:18 am

The cosmic being could feel Beaux's reserved nature around him, the unfamiliarity mixed with familiar memories that time had carried away. The blushing, the gasp at the kiss, that tantalizing shyness. Iris smirked, though. It was his job to break that reserved nature, but slowly. Respect was hardly something Iris considered, but he held something like it for this blushing man he was set on tormenting for the day. In all honesty, teasing aside, the last thing he wanted to do was scare him off. However, the usually masochistic male was feeling more sadistic in this angel's presence. Balancing restraint and torment would be his true task for the day, regardless of the job at hand.

Once he answered his question about the inn, Iris found himself laughing. It was a surprisingly pure laugh from someone who usually dealt more in all things suggestive. The stammering, the red ears beneath the pretty flower crown. It was positively adorable the way he got so flustered. In Iris's world, the people he interacted with hardly ever had the means to show embarrassment anymore. It was refreshing. He might not feel it himself, but watching it dance through Beaux's body was a delight. With the over-explanation over, his hand was claimed and the pair moved through the doors of the inn and to the counter.

Much like he'd glossed over the actual invitation Beaux had sent him, he likewise let his eyes wander as he stood just a bit behind the lawman while he conversed with whoever was at the counter. That was not to say Iris was doing nothing but zoning out. Of course, lilac hues took the chance to examine the pale-haired man's backside like an art connoisseur might an Old Master's piece in a museum. Exquisite. Beaux was a testament to the depths of beauty humanity could draw from.

The ire in his gaze was evident as a mere clipboard was expected to claim his attention instead of that beautiful butt. He took it with an impatient sigh, though he preferred to look at the one Beaux had. The supple lips of his lover pursed as he peered over angel boy's shoulder at the contract. Though neither of them spoke of it, he was also experiencing déjà vu powerful enough for him to look utterly bewildered, something both men shared. However, he remembered less about signing the thing back then and more about the perspective of this strange memory being much lower than it should be, almost as if he was laying on the floor...but not quite the floor since it seemed like it was lumpy. And warm...

Either way, he reluctantly took his chin from his date's shoulder and hastily signed his contract, tossing the clipboard back onto the counter with a noisy clack. Though Bob seemed annoyed by Iris's flippancy, nonetheless he grinned and clapped his hands. A gaggle of people poured out of the doors on each side of the counter, each claiming one of the boys and dragging them off in opposite directions. "Hey~ If you're gonna force me into something, at least be a little rougher~" Iris could be heard purring teasingly to his group just as he passed through the threshold and the door closed behind him.

Inside was absolute chaos. Of course, he was already heartachingly handsome and fashionable as always, so it seemed those in charge of designing his suit were having a hard time finding something that would do him justice. For a few long moments, he stood there in the middle of the room, stark naked and waiting. Had they told him to disrobe? No, but the cosmic being would hardly waste a chance to peacock his gloriously naked body. Besides, they were to dress him, so they needed a blank canvas!

After admiring himself in the mirror for a while, it seemed a consensus had been reached and a sassy young woman stepped forward. She looked him over closely one last time, blushing lightly as he met eyes with her and winked suggestively. If he hadn't been so focused on Beaux perhaps it'd have become much louder in the dressing room, but for how he behaved himself. She tapped a wand to his shoulder and an elegant tuxedo coated his form. The jacket was powder blue, the bow tie was a darker tint of the same shade, and the vest was black with gorgeous silver buttons, all on top of an expensive white button-up with gold buttons. The pants were a subtle gray plaid for a little dash of excitement, though they were actually too long and gathered at his ankles in a displeasing way. One of the attendants pointed it out, and with an exasperated sigh, the clothing designer mage stooped and tapped her wand to the extra fabric until it adjusted itself to the proper tailored length. Now that the pants were correct, his mirror-black shoes could gleam away in the overhead lights. As she stepped away, Iris examined himself in the mirror while the white gloves accessorizing each hand made it a point to add the flower Beaux had brought him to his lapel. "Oooh~ Honey, this is delicious," he grinned, giving his head the smallest toss so the violet locks could fall just so-so over one eye. "Thank you very much," he bowed, then headed for the door to the ceremony.

Walking through it revealed that the Silver Moon Inn's tavern was rearranged to accommodate the wedding. It was a more rustic approach, leaving all the wooden table tops uncovered with a simple floating candle in a tumbler glass on a burlap placemat at the center of each one. Gatherings of lilies of the valley were tied with twine and hung as if to dry on the mahogany pillars supporting the popular bar. More of the flowers draped from the mini pergola at the end of the white floor-runner that split the tables and their stools. The bar that would open for free drinks was on the far right wall with enough space in front of it for dancing, while a table had been set up on the left wall with a simple white cake. It was classy without being frilly, which Iris appreciated. Iris also appreciated the fact that it was in a bar at all. Soft music was being played on an acoustic guitar by the bartender, keeping the guests already seated at the tables happy until the festivities began. Once the musician saw him, the tune changed to one more official and Iris made his way down the aisle.

Taking his place before the bloom dripped pergola, he stood to wait with the officiant for his groom to meet him. There was no doubt in his mind that Beaux would be blushing and a sight to behold.

Beaux felt Iris’ chin on his shoulder as the violet-haired man peered at the contract. Without thinking, he tilted his head so it rested against his date’s. The touch was comforting and the angel felt a thrill throughout his body. He was a sensual person, so touch invoked an intense reaction within him. Even the smallest contact was enough to set his heart beating.

Once the contracts were signed, two groups of stylists pulled Beaux and Iris into separate rooms. The Rune Knight glanced woefully back at his departing lover. The stylists herded him into a room lined with racks of all kinds of outfits. Mostly they were wedding dresses and various colors of suits. A neon pink suit made Beaux raise his eyebrows. He was tempted to ask to try it on just for fun, but he didn’t want to waste the stylists’ time.

One guided him towards the suit racks. Another stylist pulled a basic gray suit off the rack, holding it up to Beaux. With a little burst of magic, he was suddenly wearing the suit and his own clothes were in a near pile on a nearby table. The lady raised her hand and began to shoot little bursts of magic at the suited angel. She was switching the color of the suit with each little spell. They went through black, gray, blue, and gold, but none of them met the stylists’ standards. At last, a burst of magic changed the suit to the color of snow with a grayish-blue vest and a soft blue tie. After a moment of observation, she nodded with a satisfied grin on her face. “This one,” she told Beaux, handing him the hanger. “This is the one for you!”

The rest of the stylists nearly jumped the Rune Knight once the color was chosen. They got to work fixing up the suit and making sure it fit perfectly. Only a few adjustments had to be made. They then began adding cufflinks, a pocket square, and other accessories. One young stylist leaned over Beaux, holding a pair of fabric shears. His brow furrowed in worry. What did she need scissors for? The lady seemed to be spacing off, not realizing what the tool she held. The angel cringed and leaned away, closing his eyes.

He heard the snipping noise and peeked one eye open. The stylist had stopped staring off into space and now held the sheared off end of his tie. “Oh! Oh no!” she squeaked. “I-I meant to put on a tie clip…” The leader of the group patted her on the shoulder. “Do not worry, my dear. We have plenty more ties!” She gestured to the end of a nearby rack where ties hung. There was every color one could think of. The young stylist hopped up and grabbed a new one while the rest removed the ruined fabric from around Beaux’s neck.

They didn’t have to do much to his hair or face as Beaux had come well prepared. They did, however, use a product that he had never seen before. The angel was fairly well versed in the ways of the beauty industry despite not wearing makeup himself. The lead stylist brought out a bottle of a shimmery liquid that seemed like some sort of perfume. Beaux felt a small trace of magic in the bottle. She sprayed him all over with it as he stood with his arms outstretched.

Once the spray settled, she motioned for Beaux to go look in a mirror. As he turned to observe his finished outfit and look, he was pleasantly surprised. The spray used on him made himself and the air around the angel shimmer as he moved. It looked as if a faint glitter just existed around him. Not only that, but it smelled like fresh baked pastries! “What did you use? C’est magnifique!” he asked, eyes shining in excitement. “It is a new type of perfume. It makes the wearer shimmer, but also the scent is magically charged to smell like the favorite scent of the person experiencing the smell. That means your partner,” she gestured to the door and where he had last seen Iris, “will smell whatever he desires. You will be irresistible!” With that, she winked, then pointed Beaux out of the styling room and told him where to go next.

He nearly forgot the flower crown, which he had placed on a nearby table when entering the room. One of the stylists had taken the time to add a veil to the floral headpiece. The translucent fabric had been added carefully as to not ruin the crown. As Beaux held it in his hands, he got that nagging déjà vu again. He’d worn a veil before… but when? Shaking his head, he gently placed it back atop his head and flipped the veil over his face and set out for the tavern.

Beaux was stunned by the decorations. As someone who had been a host before, he had a keen eye for event visuals. Whoever had taken the time to put together the tavern had done fantastically. His eyes traced to the pergola, flourished with flowers that draped over the edges like little bells. Beaux could imagine them chiming. Underneath it stood Iris and an officiant.

All the beautiful decor was forgotten in Iris’ wake. Beaux’s jaw nearly dropped. He hadn’t seen the ocular mage dressed so dapper before. The suit was perfectly tailored and a mix of shades, unlike Beaux’s own white suit. Iris looked regal, majestic, sexy. The angel was enthralled. He had the sudden feral urge to just jump Iris right then and there, any bystanders be damned. Though it flashed by in a second, the feeling startled Beaux. He hadn’t felt such an urge in a long time.

Music had been playing as he entered and the volume increased ever so slightly, letting Beaux know that it was time for the ceremony to start. An attendant rushed over, placing a bouquet of flowers in his hands. It was a mix of roses, lilies of the valley, and hyacinths. At the sight of the flower that his sister was named after, Beaux’s breath hitched. The hyacinth was native to Napedia and rare in Fiore. How did they know that was his favorite? It must have been a coincidence…

He walked down the aisle slowly. The angel was shimmering in the light as he walked due to the magical spritz the stylist had given him. It earned some gasps from the crowd. Tearing his gaze away from the flowers, he looked at Iris shyly through his eyelashes. A shiver of anticipation ran down his back. Even if this wedding wasn’t a real one, in the moment it was hard not to imagine that it was genuine. Beaux reached the pergola as the song began to fade. An attendant stood beside the officiant, holding out her hands to take the bouquet. He reluctantly handed it over, looking longingly at the flowers.

Turning back to Iris, the officiant instructed them to hold hands. Beaux reached out his, waiting for his groom to take them up. He was trying not to stare too hard at Iris, but that was proving to be a difficult task. That handsome face was irresistable. They waited for a moment for the guests to settle down in their seats and for the noise to die down. The officiant cleared his throat and began the ceremony.

Post by Iris 30th March 2020, 12:57 am

When Iris saw Beaux, his mouth widened into a pure grin, genuinely happy to see him. He was a vision, but then again, he always was. To say he felt any extra sexual tension would imply he hadn't already been struggling with it from the instant he saw the angelic man today. Besides, he much preferred him in his birthday suit to anything else, which he was most looking forward to once all this was over with. However, as he walked under the strategically placed can lights above the aisle, he took notice of a shimmer on and around Beaux that was new. That hadn't been there before. He chuckled lightly to himself. With the white suit and the glimmering, he wondered if there was any way he could look more angelic other than growing his wings and expanding them like an eagle in flight as he made his way in much to the gasps and admiration of the guests.

His groom only got a few slow steps in before his heightened sense of smell caught it. It was enough to startle Iris. It had him swallowing hard as his brain tried to navigate what he was smelling. The tang of crisp sea breeze off of clear water, carrying with it a hint of salt and exotic driftwood. The air had been so pure back then, out in the middle of the ocean. So pure that even sunshine had a scent. Beaux somehow smelled like a picnic atop a cliff overlooking the vast sea, way back in time on a sunny day in Atlantis while it still stood proud and strong. He smelled like a freshly washed quilt on rolling hills of healthy grass. Like hand-churned butter on the day's first loaf of bread from the wood-fired oven. Like the long-extinct wildflowers that bloomed under the shade of an Atlantean willow.

By the time Beaux joined him at the pergola, tears prickled in the corners of his eyes. "Beaux?" he both asked and greeted in a breathy whisper, perplexed and thrilled by the perfume. How did he smell exactly like a lazy Saturday in a country that didn't exist anymore and hadn't for, what, hundreds if not thousands of years? Eyes previously wide with stunned wonder suddenly filled with such stout longing that it was only by a miracle that Iris didn't take Beaux in front of the gods and everybody. "Beaux..." he said more firmly, almost like a warning. Desire pooled in his gut like magma, scorching and heavy. His breathing grew husky for a few moments as he took Beaux's hands, finding himself more attracted to the man than he'd ever been to anyone else in his long life. The lavenderette sucked his bottom lip between his teeth and gave it a little bite, trying to get himself under control. He wasn't sure how long it would work. Yeah, okay, it didn't work at all. He pulled one of the hands he clasped up toward his face, lowering his lips to place a lingering kiss on the back of Beaux's hand, hoping to pacify himself. The female officiant seemed hell-bent on drawing this out, speaking supposed truths about love and going into some sort of historic story for dramatic effect. Iris was having none of it. "Hurry it up, would you~?" he purred, though it was an impatient sound more than it was flirty. His violet eyes never left Beaux's face and the scent only grew stronger now that he was up so close. What had they sprayed him with? Iris-nip? He let out a shaking breath through his nose, clearly starting to lose the battle with his self-control, a virtue Iris had never had a strong grasp on to begin with.

Thankfully the woman seemed to get the thinly veiled hint and started to speak quicker, leaving out the bits that weren't important. Iris couldn't hear them anyway. His heart was pumping his version of blood through his veins so quickly that it was roaring in his ears. He felt dizzy, almost like he was drunk, though it had been at least an hour or two since his last sip. The tension was agonizing, which as anyone who knew Iris knew, it only fueled his desires more if he was tortured in any way. She barely spoke the words "you may kiss" before Iris was upon Beaux, planning on doing just that. So much for teasing the angel and letting him come around on his own. The cosmic being barely got the veil out of the way before pulling him into a passionate kiss.

Beaux hadn’t expected Iris to be so affected by the scent of the spritz. As he came to a halt, he noticed how watery his groom’s eyes were. The scent was supposed to be something he most desired in the world. Whatever it was that had been smelled, it had a profound effect on Iris. He had never cried in the angel’s presence - or ever, as far as he knew. Beaux started to grow worried. Had the scent been something that drummed up bad memories? Were those happy tears or pained tears?

It became clear as Iris whispered his name. There was longing in that voice and wonder in those beautiful eyes. He appeared so innocent and awestruck in that moment that Beaux felt as if he would melt. Never before had he seen Iris like this. It was endearing and he felt a warm feeling in his chest. The mystified expression was replaced in an instant. Iris said his name again in a more serious, warning tone and the angel felt a shiver go down his spine. He knew that tone, the one that warned him of the consequences if he were to entice his lover any further. The thrill of being desired so intensely felt electric. Beaux had the urge to push the limits further, but this was not the place nor time.

As the ceremony went on, Beaux noticed Iris seeming fidgety. First biting his lip in an incredibly hot way, then raising the angel’s hand to his mouth and kissing the back of it. This was beyond his normal lustiness. That scent had done something to him. The officiant was urged to finish up the prolonged ceremony and the words she spoke from then on seemed rushed. She had recognized the sudden urgency within Iris. Tension filled the space between the two men and the intensity in Iris’ gaze nearly made Beaux break eye contact a few times. Their past had been full of passionate nights, but this vivid lust was new and he could see it swirling in those violet eyes.

At last, the officiant said her final words and announced that they may kiss. Before he could even blink, Iris had lunged towards him. The lustful fire within him had become a volcano, and Beaux was right in the eruption’s path and prime for a good burning. Thin veil material barely made it out of the way before their lips collided. The angel’s eyes closed in bliss. He had missed this sensation, this intoxicating kiss. Guests cheered and clapped, but to Beaux it sounded like they were miles away. All he could feel, all he could think about was Iris.

Slowly Beaux felt himself tilting backwards. It didn’t register in his mind until he was actually falling over and taking Iris down with him. The two collapsed to the floor. Pain barely registered in his mind. Not once did the angel break the kiss. The cheers began to die down, but Beaux didn’t notice. He was caught up in making out with his handsome temporary husband.

That was, until he had another intense sensation of déjà vu. This time it wasn’t just a nagging feeling. He was certain that he and Iris had participated in another faux marriage some other time. The memories were hazy, but the feeling of the floor against his back and the weight of Iris on top of him was familiar. The veil, the kiss. It had happened before! But when?

Beaux reluctantly pulled his lips from Iris’. As much as he hated doing so, he knew it was becoming a little awkward for the guests. Their cheering had quieted and while some continued to watch the two make out on the floor in uncomfortable silence, others had already made their way to the bar. The bartender slung cocktails left and right with masterful skill. A more lively music kicked up and livened the mood of the tavern. Some guests even paired off and danced!

The Knight slipped out from beneath Iris, a position which he was quite familiar with. He stood, brushing off his white suit of any dirt it may have collected. It would be a shame if the white fabric was ruined. Beneath the gazes of some watching guests, Beaux’s cheeks reddened. He still struggled to be okay with public displays of affection on occasion, especially since it had been so long since the last time. It was in his nature to want to help others be comfortable and had been ingrained in him as a child that intimacy was not for the public eye. In his rebellious phase, he had defied that on the daily, but now he still blushed any time it happened. The angel turned and offered a hand to help his fake husband up. Should Iris take it, Beaux would guide him up from the floor and gently brush off his suit.

The flower crown! Beaux nearly forgot about it! The ringlet had fallen off when he had crashed to the ground. He bent down and picked it up, eyeing it fondly before placing it back atop his silvery head with the veil tucked neatly back. He would treasure the item and keep it as long as the blooms lived. The angel was about to ask Iris about the déjà vu and if he remembered anything. Unfortunately, he was interrupted by a wedding attendant, who handed him the bouquet back. Beaux noticed a crowd of younger men and women had gathered in the aisle, eagerly awaiting the bouquet toss. It was bittersweet to throw the hyacinths on to someone else. The Napedian wanted nothing more than to keep the beloved flowers for himself.

He turned around, facing Iris once more. With a smile to his temporary husband, Beaux launched the flowers over his head towards the crowd of people. Ooohs and aaaahs came from the group. Whirling around, he saw that the bouquet had exploded into a beautiful display of glitter and petals that rained down on them. Baby blue eyes widened in wonder. Some of the young people seemed disappointed that the bouquet hadn’t gone as planned, but others seemed excited by the pretty explosion. In the corner of the room, Beaux noticed the head stylist standing by the door. She sent him a wink and gestured towards the floral display. The angel grinned at her handiwork and waved his appreciation.

Conversation began to fill the room as guests milled about, claiming tables and visiting the bar. A buffet of food lined one of the walls and some of the more elderly guests had begun to fill their plates. The afterparty had begun! Beaux turned to Iris and reached out to grab his hand subconsciously. Ma chérie, he started, playing with the violette’s fingers, “Have you been feeling a sort of... déjà vu throughout this whole thing? Like we’ve done this before?” He glanced down at their hands. “I have, and I can’t shake this feeling. I just want to know if I’m going crazy!” With that, he let out a little laugh.

    ❃Wait, Haven't We Done This Before?❃ Empty Re: ❃Wait, Haven't We Done This Before?❃

Post by Iris 3rd April 2020, 3:33 am

It was true, Iris wasn't his normal self. The scent had taken him back to a time very long ago, when he'd been a bit different than he was now. He'd been himself. In his time on Atlantis, he'd become one of their people. His own kind had been viewed as deities since they had quite literally descended from the heavens and some had truly taken advantage of the role to demand the peoples' obedience and worship. Others integrated more fully and aided the island folk. He and his family unit had taken a shine to the people more as equals, wanting to share their advanced knowledge of magic and technology, while the others wanted to clutch their secrets to keep their power and thus their godhood. In the end, it had been the 'gods' that destroyed such a beautiful people, basically due to a divide and civil war among the star people. It'd been such a beautiful place. That was merely the first sign of things to come concerning his own species. If only he knew then what he knew now.

While Iris's grasp on his original personality was nothing more than black and white notions of fact, his memories of the place he was smelling were plenty vivid. In human physiology, scent was often the most strongly linked sense to memory, and since he'd adapted himself to be as close to human as he could get, it seemed it would ring true for Iris as well. The Iris that remembered Atlantis was untainted by the hardships he'd endured over so much time. He'd not yet learned of treachery. There were only days filled with laughter and picnics. Days spent exploring and teaching humans to use magic and adapt technologies to daily life. So many days spent in the sun, hair damp with ocean spray and dried by the dependable breezes. This was where he'd fallen so in love with humanity. This is where he learned love in general. Iris smelled love on Beaux.

The world around Iris had faded into a static white. He and Beaux might as well existed outside of time and space, for all he cared. Tasting Beaux, although familiar, was thrilling. He couldn't get enough. His passion was indeed a volcano, one that set them ablaze at the slightest touch. It was as if both of them were completely engulfed and only seemed to intensify as their bodies collided as if to smother it, or perhaps grow it. The cosmic being hardly noticed when Beaux pitched him forward, dragging him down to the floor with him. If anything, it was a convenience. It was much easier to get hands where he wanted them when balance wasn't a factor anymore. Earthland just had to have gravity...

Gravity had taken some getting used to back on Atlantis at first. As the two tangled feverishly on the floor, guests ignored, Iris might as well been back in those days. The hardwood floor was pillowy grass. He breathed in sunshine, in the rare moments he allowed both of them to inhale. Lustful beyond belief, yes, but his kisses had bizarre desperation in them that the never held. As if Beaux would slip right through his hands within seconds and he had to get his last sip of him to last him the rest of his eternal life. The angel stole his lips away, but Iris merely redirected his kisses to his cheeks, beginning to trail down toward his neck when his lover wriggled free of him.

Brought out of his reprieve as if cold water had been thrown on him, he shoved back onto his knees, but sorta sat back on his haunches in stunned silence, disturbed only by his ragged breathing. It wasn't like him to get lost like that. Blinking quickly, his brows furrowed. The flashes of panic and even frustration rippled under his skin, but unlike earlier, he dared not look at the beautiful silverette. Why was he terrified the man would disappear? Was it because he'd lost him once? While that wasn't necessarily wrong, that wasn't quite it. It still had to do with that smell and his flashbacks to his old home. Was he terrified of losing what felt like his last grasp on something he thought he'd lost so long ago, something that meant so much to him? He swallowed hard.

Iris delayed his getting up even as the hand was extended to him, choosing instead to remain crouched there with his back to the crowd, face angled toward the floor and covered with one hand. He had to calm down...in more than one way. The disheveled man tried to cover his discomfort by pretending to fix his socks. "Mmm, give me a moment, Love~..." he muttered, clearly in no shape to get to his feet and turn toward a room full of guests. If they'd been uncomfortable at the sight of them making out, the definitely wouldn't have been able to handle the girth of this scenario. However, after a few long moments, he took the offered help and rose to his feet, though his strange behavior continued. He stood a bit off from Beaux as he continued with the ceremony, subdued. Quiet. His mind was elsewhere, even though he watched his white-suited faux-spouse reluctantly toss the bouquet he'd so admired. It exploded with a flourish in the air. Very stylish. He felt detached from it, though. Maybe he was hungover from his trip down memory lane or disappointed by the distance between him and Beaux. This tavern, dripping with crystals and flowers, had nothing on the vivid place his mind had just been. It was as if everything in the room had lost its color except for his fake-betrothed.

At least the wilted Iris revived when his lover returned, taking his hand as they moved into the afterparty for this strange event. Normally this would be where Iris would launch into some in-depth examination of what he considered to be a strange human celebration of monogamy, which he would present with not one drop of missing distaste or confusion. The whole concept was lost on the spaceman, but right now he wasn't even in the mindset to embark on that debate. He simply went along with the beautiful man, gazing at him with fondness, trying to adjust to the glimmering perfume that threatened to drag him right back into the predicament he'd been in earlier. There was no safety in going noseblind for this. At least Beaux's question offered him something of a distraction, though alcohol would have worked much better. "Déjà vu?" Iris asked, cocking his head to the side enough for the lavender locks to sway from his other eye, offering a somewhat rare, unencumbered glimpse of both eyes at once. "Perhaps we should fall back to the floor again, see if it jogs any memories loose~" he joked, but memories had already started percolating behind his lilac hues, and again he fell quiet for a long moment after.

Oh hey, now that he mentioned it... it smacked him in the face so hard that visibly jolted. Two drunkards meeting by chance, reunited and sharing a fake marriage to test out a marriage system as well as deliver chocolates. He hadn't wanted to get off the floor. He'd wanted to strip him down to that lovely milky skin right there in the warehouse, and had certainly tried. "Oh..Oh!" he exclaimed, finally breaking into one of his normal grins. "You know, I think you're right~ The feather!" Iris declared suddenly, reaching vaguely to the left to access his little pocket dimension. He pulled out a lovely ebony feather, twirling it in his fingers. There had been unexpected fighting last time, but he wasn't super clear why. "Last Valentine's I got this, but I didn't remember why or how at the time~ Now it makes sense...Do you realize we had an encounter a whole year ago and both of us forgot? I looked for you like this was Cinderella's slipper."

At first, he seemed amused, taking it in stride as a funny happenstance, but the more he thought about it, the more bothered he became. Suddenly a being with literally all the time in the world was pissed that they'd lost so much of it. "We could have been together all this time..." he said, pulling Beaux's hand and thus the body attached to it closer to him once more. The ocular mage gazed down into those perfect, icy hues in consternation. He'd lost more than just a year with this man, but somehow it stung more knowing he'd had him in his arms just a year ago for a fleeting amount of time, but had managed to let him slip away again. Was that part of why he'd felt so desperate to hold onto him earlier? "I could have had a whole year of making you happy," Iris said quietly, surprising even himself. It wasn't like him to put others' feelings and enjoyment above his own.

The view of both of Iris’ eyes at once was unusual, as his hair typically covered one. Beaux found himself observing the violet irises. The color was ever so lovely, a soft and alluring vibrance that drew the angel in. He could stare into those eyes forever it seemed.

“Oh my,” Beaux stammered coyly at the suggestion that they return to the floor. While that did sound exciting, there were too many people here. His temporary husband fell silent and so did the Rune Knight. Memories pulled at the edges of his mind. His thoughts whirled in a dance of cat and mouse. It was as if they were teasing him, giving him glimpses but never allowing complete remembrance.

With a sudden exclamation, Iris reached out with a hand. From seemingly nowhere, he withdrew an ebony feather. Beaux’s eyes widened. That was his feather! How did it come into his lover’s possession? The feather was from one of the many sets of wings he could transform his own into. Memories trickled in, then flooded as the dam exploded. He saw in his mind’s eye the two meeting up in a drunken stupor. The veil and boutonniere given by the chocolates lady. The two had completed the delivery, but not before being interrupted by many different people, even having to fight some of them!

“Ma chérie,” Beaux whispered in awe. “How can this be? How could we have forgotten being reunited?” The thought that he could forget any encounter with the perfect man was unfathomable. Such a notion was almost humorous at first. But as it sunk in, Beaux’s expression fell just as hard as the violette’s. A whole year had been lost to the swirls of time. Iris pulled him closer, which he accepted without protest.

The despair Beaux felt was as raw as it had been when he had departed with Iris a year before, their hands slipping apart as the crowd carried him far away from his love. Being drunk had elevated the emotion back then, which now mixed in with the fresh sorrow he felt. 365 days of love and affection had been lost.

The next words Iris spoke stunned Beaux into silence. His heart swelled with emotion. In that moment, he felt an affection so deep it almost scared him. It had never been completely clear to him if Iris felt the same way he did. Their past wasn’t exactly lovey-dovey. The affirmation now only made his feelings that much more intense.

As he thought about the happiness they missed out on, Beaux was hit with a stark realization. Iris could have been at his side through one of the worst days of his life, or maybe it could have even been prevented. He could have helped the angel through recovery, through the awful days. Such a tough rehabilitation could have been that much easier if he’d had Iris through it all.

Frustration began to seep in as well. How could they have missed out on so much potential? There wasn’t exactly one person to blame for it all. Beaux felt angry at the crowd that had pulled them apart. He cursed himself for allowing himself to get so drunk that he would black out. Blaming Iris was something he refused, though.

The mix of love, sorrow, and frustration was overwhelming. Beaux couldn’t think straight. He felt emotions so intensely that they often caused any rational thought to come to a grinding halt. The angel felt his eyes begin to well. This was all so much to take in. “Iris,” he whispered breathlessly. Without warning he pulled the violette into a tight embrace, burying his face in Iris’ neck to hide the impending tears. All he wanted was to be close to him to make up for the time they had lost.

"I love it when you say my name," he whispered in a tone surprisingly void of the suggestive flirty purr considering how easily the phrase would lend itself to it. He curled the angelic boy into his arms, mindful of the wings on his back. One hand cradled the back of his head, leafing through short silvery locks. Iris hated to see Beaux cry. The tears were bothersome, but the space boy was more than aware of why they were falling. He felt something very similar, though it took more than this to coax tears out of him. Just a little over a month ago he'd had something of an emotional meltdown over the frustration he felt concerning the only two people he'd ever managed to form this type of bond with. Being unsuccessful in finding Beaux had worn on him over time, and here he'd had him briefly just a year ago and was too drunk to remember. Granted, that was the whole point of being drunk as much as he was, so he couldn't get too angry. If he couldn't remember or couldn't care, there was no way to suffer. It was just unfortunate that the one time he'd run into the person he sought he had needed to get blind wasted...

He swayed to and fro gently as he held his temporary groom, humming some sort of quirky tune he hoped would bring comfort. After a short time, though, the humming stopped so he could speak. "Mmm, there isn't much good in mourning what could have been, now is there, love~?" he asked, hoping to steer their gloomy moods into more happier times. Perhaps if he'd known what Beaux had been through in the last year, he'd have thought differently, but for now, he just wanted to move on. "We have each other now and aren't drunk...Well, I'm a little drunk, but not memory-obliterating hammered..." Iris chuckled. The cosmic dust might not have a lot against lying, but there was no sense in fibbing about being sober. If he could help it he was never sober. If not for Hidden Blades requiring so much focus and perfection, he'd never be without a few drinks in his system.

"Should we dance? Should we eat cake?" the violette asked, swaying a little extra in a silly way. His hands moved to the angel's waist, giving it a squeeze. With any luck, he could salvage their faux-wedding. "What will make Beaux smile? Hmm~" wondered the man in a sing-song voice, expression thoughtful, "Perhaps I should find what perfume you have on and see if that will brighten your face? Then maybe I'll be rewarded with kisses?"

Beaux’s tears didn’t last very long as he was cradled against Iris’ chest. The intensity of emotion had hit him like a train, but slowly faded as he cried it out. It was hard to think past how things could have been. The ‘what ifs’ ruminated in his mind as the tears leaked down his cheeks.

His body began to relax from the gentle touch through his hair and against his back. The eclectic humming from Iris filled his ears and the angel couldn’t help but smile a little. “You’re right,” Beaux replied with a sniffle. His voice croaked a little from crying but he cleared it quickly before continuing. “We should celebrate the fact that we are together once again.” He couldn’t help but laugh at the fact that Iris was drunk as always. Some things truly never changed.

Iris’ attempts at cheering him up were working. Beaux couldn’t stay sad for too long, it just wasn’t in his nature. Happy and cheerful was his default and he was slowly returning to that with his lover’s help. The two swayed as Iris listed off options for what they could do. There was still much of the wedding celebrations left to do, even if the actual marriage wasn’t real.

“Oh, my parfum!” Beaux said. “I would very much like to have a bottle of it,” he admitted. While he had simply enjoyed the shimmer at first, now that he knew what effect it had on Iris he wanted it for his own. He certainly wouldn’t mind if he could make Iris ravenous like that more often. The angel intended to ask at some point what scent the perfume had created for him, though. He wanted to entice the violette, not torture him with a smell connected to memories.

Beaux pulled himself back from Iris in order to give him a quick peck on the lips. Parfum or not, I’ll kiss you anyway!” he said cheerfully with a tilt of his head. Though he still felt a slight lingering melancholy, the sadness had been chased away.  “I’m feeling better,” he added quietly, merci.” Taking up Iris’ hand once more, he gave it a gentle squeeze. He was glad they were together once more.

Looking around the reception, it seemed that nobody had noticed their emotional exchange. Guests chattered among themselves at the bar as the music played in the background. Near the bar was a long, aged wooden table covered in a burlap tablecloth. Atop it were wooden trays and metal platters covered in various cookies and tarts. At the center of the table was a very interesting looking cake. Bits of the cake could be seen through the frosting, giving it a rough appearance. Around the layers were rings of wildflowers and leaves. It was a beautiful combination of rustic and dainty.

Upon spying the cake, Beaux became excited. He’d always had quite the sweet tooth. A slice of that delicious cake would definitely make him feel better. “Let’s go try some desserts,” he suggested, though he only had eyes for the cake. The angel was already guiding Iris along, so it wasn’t much of a question.

Post by Iris 19th June 2020, 2:55 am

Glad that his temporary husband was feeling better now, Iris merely smiled back at his face as he watched it speak and slowly brighten as moments slipped past. In truth, the nostalgic scent was still quite strong in his nose from proximity, and it was all he could do to hold himself back. Iris wasn't the type of creature to hold back from what he wanted, and before joining Hidden Blades, there was no way in hell's nine rings he'd have entertained the notion of restraint. But with his change in employment came the near-constant state of self-denial and discipline, which, much to his growing chagrin, was seeping into his off-hours. The cosmic dust didn't even realize that that wasn't the only reason he was letting Beaux lead him to a cake instead of to a bedroom, reasonably content to munch on sweets with the angel boy. Subconsciously Iris was mindful of Beaux and his feelings. He was actually considerate of the silverette, unlike most he played with any other time. Beaux wasn't just a good time, but someone he cared deeply about.

Considerate and restrained, but not innocent. Once they were at the cake, Iris immediately saw a way to get himself more physical attention from the man, or at least he hoped. He cut them both a slice, seeming normal at first. However, seconds later, he had smeared a little of it around his mouth and held a nice, big chunk in his mouth. He turned toward Beaux, raising his brows suggestively. He'd been serious about being rewarded with kisses, and not just normal pecks. His invitation for the angel to take the cake sticking out of his mouth and clean up his face was obvious enough, right? If he had his way, they'd eat all their desserts off each other. Who needed forks and plates?

Iris took the lead and began cutting them slices from the cake. On the inside it seemed to have three layers with a type of mousse filling in between them. The top one was chocolate and the bottom was probably vanilla. Beaux readied them both plates and utensils.

When he looked back to Iris, the violette was giving him a cheeky grin. In his mouth was a piece of cake and frosting that had conveniently found its way all over his lips. There was no doubt that it was intentional, Iris wanting to make sure he was given the kisses he had asked for earlier. Beaux let out a laugh at the pure shamelessness of his lover’s need for attention. That was just his nature, but it still made the angel smile.

Leaning forward, he took a bite of the cake protruding from Iris’ mouth. He took a second to chew it and swallow, enjoying the flavors but entirely focused on the man before him. Though his heart rate increased a bit out of nervousness for the public affection, Beaux decided to be risky. He was determined to act out on what he was feeling more. He had always been the teased one, never brave enough to be the teaser.

Trailing his lips across Iris’ cheek ever so lightly, he began removing the frosting with kisses, but never actually making contact with his lips straight on. Once the sweet substance was gone, he took a step back. Blue eyes stared right into Iris’, full of teasing amusement. Knowing how intense the perfume had made Iris’ desire and how he seemed to be a volcano ready to erupt, Beaux still decided to make that move. He knew what the outcome could be. He dared to want it. Iris had shown a side today that was sweet, even caring. That was the kind of thing that made the angel grow fonder of the violet haired man. Affection was something he treasured. It also stirred something deeper, the intense urge to jump his lover on the spot, a feeling that had seemed lost in the time since they first met.

“All better!” Beaux exclaimed, feigning innocence, as he turned to finish dishing out their cake. His heart was still pounding after taking such a daring teasing action.

Post by Iris 20th September 2020, 5:51 am

As his eyes locked with the angel's, they widened just the slightest as it dawned on him what his lover was doing. This was very un-Beaux-like, but he loved it. The disappointment over not getting exactly what he wanted was, of course, even more exciting for the masochist. Beaux had the nerve to deny him what he wanted. Now he wanted it even more. He wanted to splay the pretty man onto the dessert table and just make an unholy mess of the whole thing. The fire flaring in his core demanded it, and he very nearly did it. But he didn't.

"....Hnnng...." Iris groaned softly, turning as well and bending at his middle to place his hands on his table for support. How dare that angel boy tease him this way? He knew he liked it. And hated it. Which made him like it more. He wasn't sure at what point his entire top half of his body became bare. It was just a natural response to begin stripping, but he did manage to stop before he became an embarrassment to Beaux. That's not to say he didn't want to just say 'screw it' and embarrass him anyway, or that he never would do such a thing, but if there was anyone on this silly marble that he cared about the thoughts and emotions of, it was this silver haired man at the dessert table thinking he'd pulled off a successful and risk free tease. The aforementioned volcano ready to erupt was inching ever so closer to blowing his top. Maybe that's why his 'top' was gone.

Fingers dug into the decorative burlap for a moment or two while he tried to compose himself. Tried and failed. When he turned again, he closed the distance and wrapped his needy self around Beaux from behind, trailing kisses down one side of his neck as far as he could while the other man was still clothed. Iris's body was quite warm to the touch, made even more obvious as he rested his forehead on the younger man's shoulder. "You can't start that and leave it~," he warned with a soft whine, body going still. He didn't trust himself to move anymore. "When can we go somewhere else? Is there something here we have to do here...? How long will you torture~ me, handsome?"

It seemed Beaux’s teasing had the desired effect. Iris had let out a quiet groan and was leaning heavily on the table, trying to compose himself. The angel felt satisfied and continued busying himself with preparing their cake slices. In his mind, the tease had been successful, but he wasn’t sure how much more he could get away with. Today had already held an intense tension which felt to be growing with each touch. He grabbed some forks and napkins and turned back to Iris.

“Cake is serv-” his voice trailed off and blue eyes widened. Somehow in the span of a few seconds, Iris had become shirtless. The top was out of sight. Teasing was something he knew his lover was into, but Beaux wondered if he had overdone it. He couldn’t help but give a quick once-over. Damn.

Iris was all over him in a heartbeat, his restraint seeming to have left as quickly as his shirt. Arms wrapped around the angel from behind and kisses peppered his neck as far as clothing allowed. His ears started reddening. Kissing on the floor was one thing, but the half-naked PDA that was occurring had Beaux just as eager to leave the premises as Iris, though more for escaping embarrassment and watchful eyes. The violette rested his head on Beaux’s shoulder, the warmth of his pale skin was felt even through the suit jacket.

Cake in hand, the angel was frozen for a moment too. Iris seemed to want to leave as soon as possible. Perhaps the best course of action was to vacate the wedding afterparty. The angel reached over and placed the cake plates back on the dessert table.

“We… I…” Beaux stammered, trying to keep his focus. Iris’ touch was so distracting, each contact of skin had his heartbeat leaping. He turned in the embrace, clasping his hands behind his lover’s bare back. The Knight angled himself so that he concealed as much of the topless man as he could from the other wedding guests.

The two needed to get out of here before Iris had no clothes left at all. Leaning closer, he kept his voice just a whisper. Mon cher, where did your shirt go?” His voice was chastising, but with a playful edge. Planting a quick kiss on the corner of Iris’ jaw, he continued. “I will go speak to the wedding planner and see if they need anything else from us. Why don’t you go wait for me in the lobby, and take our cake with you?”

As much as their proximity was a torturous temptation, Beaux tore himself away to go find the wedding planner. Scanning the room, he noticed Bob Carlton standing with the woman who had designed his outfit and a few others near the bar. Weaving his way through the tables, Beaux approached the group.

“Ah, what did you think?” Bob greeted him with a booming, cheerful voice. He was clearly quite tipsy. “How was the ceremony? Did you have a good time?”

“We did, merci,” Beaux replied with a pleasant smile. “It was a lovely event, we were glad to be able to help your company test out these new services. Unfortunately we must take our leave. We have… plans this afternoon.” It wasn't exactly a lie, they would be quite busy. The volcano that was Iris would most certainly explode the moment they were alone.

“Oooh dear! If you’re leaving then I insist you take a bottle of wine!” The designer woman reached over the bar counter and after a moment of rummaging around, she presented the Knight with a beautiful, expensive bottle of sauvignon blanc. Beaux’s eyes widened as he turned the bottle in his hands.

    “I don’t know what to say…”

“Don’t say anything! Just go have a nice afternoon,” the lady said with a grin. “Say, where is your… friend? I’d like to compliment his suit,” Bob asked, starting to look around the room. Beaux wasn’t sure if Iris had gone to the lobby yet, so he hastily waved a hand in dismissal. “Oh, I will be sure to tell him! Au revoir!” His departure towards the lobby was swift, wine bottle in hand.

Post by Iris 8th December 2020, 6:48 am

Oh yea, Iris was long gone. As soon as Beaux said to grab the cake and meet him in the lobby, the shirtless man was gone like a streak. No one loved a good party like he did, but he was in no shape to be in a crowd without getting arrested for indecent exposure.

He didn't obey entirely, though. Iris was not one known for waiting. He'd paused briefly in the lobby, getting curious glances from the lady at the check-in desk since he was standing there half-naked with two plates of cake in each hand. His lavender head turned to look at her, a thoughtfulness in his exceptionally devious face. "A room, please," he said suddenly, walking closer and placing the cake down. "A nice one with a huge, soft bed. No one booked on either side...for their convenience, I assure you. Perhaps on an empty floor..." Iris mused, his mind going down a very amorous and very loud rabbit trail. Shaking himself out of it before he could embarrass the poor woman with his obvious arousal. Honestly, it was too late. What he had in mind was clear enough, and after he signed and paid, he left her blushing there while he scampered up the stairs two at a time. She'd been instructed to tell the silver-haired man which room to meet him in as soon as she saw him. Hopefully, Beaux would come. It'd be sad if he didn't.

Presuming that Beaux would, in fact, grace him with his sexy presence, Iris got to work. Perching in the middle of the giant bed of cushy white linens, he posed himself into an invitingly sexy position, leaving his pants on for the simple fun of taking them off, but otherwise covering erogenous portions of his skin with cake and icing from one of the plates. Let Beaux dare to tease him now.
