In response to his query, the two lycans tried to attempt one last desperate attack against him despite their severely weakened state, so Nikola dodged this weak attempt easily enough and afterwards, he decided to put them out of their misery, albeit only to the extent of knocking them both out cold with the flat side of his energy saber as opposed to employing the sharp edge of said saber against them “Pathetic fools…why do you resist your inevitable fate? You should have laid down and simply admitted defeat…” Nikola said as he gazed down at the now unconscious pair of young lycans both of whom had been previously engaging him in combat. However, he decided to let them off the hook by simply knocking them out cold since he knew full well that he did anything to jeopardize the amicable relationship that his guild, aka Silver Wolf, seemed to have with this lycan pack that had hired them for this current task, then that would, in turn, most certainly hinder his plans to advance his overall power and capability by rising up to the next higher magus class ( i.e., from C to B class). After that was done, he dragged the two unconscious lycans, each of whom was much larger and much heavier than his seemingly much more lightly built and much smaller body, quite effortlessly along the path leading inward to the central clearing wherein his clients were undoubtedly waiting for him, all the while wearing his usual impassive and inscrutable expression on his face. “Are these two lycans part of your pack, perchance? If so, you should really keep a better watch on your ilk, lest they rampage out of control and attack those who have come to help you lot. So…I must say, this was a truly deplorable welcoming committee…” Nikola said in a semi-neutral, semi-chastising tone to the two largest and oldest looking lycans, one female and the other male, who were both standing just past the entrance to the clearing with anxious looks on their face, ones that were also present on the visages of every other member of their pack and then, he handed over care of the two unconscious lycans to the pack elders whom he was now engaging in conversation. As he had expected, the two elder lycans had the grace to look ashamed and contrite at hearing his rebuke since, in this case, his words rang true, and they had no counter argument to them. “Please accept our sincere apologies for this, but we did not realize that two of our kind had strayed away despite having gotten strict instructions to not head outside this shaded clearing…these foolish young pups were perhaps thinking of proving their power by testing their mettle against the corrupting influence of the full moon’s light or something along those lines…but as is evident here, this hubris of theirs has gotten the better of them by pitting them against you, the very person who has graciously accepted our plea for help and has come all this way to assist us in our hour of need.” Nikola was frankly surprised at how forthright the two elder lycans were being in response to seeing the damage done to Nikola’s armor by their two unconscious pack members and how eloquently they both were apologizing for their oversight in such a genuine manner no less, but naturally, he did not show his emotions in the slightest. Instead, he merely nodded and remarked “Very well, let us now put that behind us and proceed with the business at hand, eh? Time IS money after all, and we have precious little of it as is…not to mention, this little impediment caused by your now unconscious ilk has wasted quite a lot of it. So, from the job request, I gather that you wish to gain better mastery over your feral impulses and your bestial transformations as well so that you can live free of the metaphorical shackles that the full moon’s light has placed upon you?” Nikola wasted no more time in getting straight to the point and asked the two elder lycans thusly about their request so that he could confirm what exactly was the central objective in the current situation since that would be crucial to his successfully passing his class-up exam trial. To that, he saw the two elder lycans nod and respond and so too did the rest of the pack members, thus confirming the potential that his idea had for being successful in resolving this intriguing challenge “Indeed, sir. You are correct in your understanding of the situation at hand and of what it is that we want you to do for us. We shall be as cooperative as you need us to be so that you can resolve this issue with all due haste.” Nikola nodded and then replied accordingly with his usual smug smirk on his face now being back in all its arrogant glory “Very well, then I, Nikola Eisenstein, shall assist you in your hour of need. Be sure to show your gratitude to the Silver Wolf guild for this afterwards. Now then, line up in a single file so that I may examine the lot of you, one at a time, of course.” Nikola instructed and to that, all the lycans acquiesced and lined up in a single line and while they were organizing themselves thus, Nikola opened up a large Requip pocket dimension and from it, brought out all the various equipment that he had borrowed from his guild hall’s lab before heading off to undertake this job request, making sure to do so quickly so that he could complete this exam trial at the earliest possible time.

1. Nikola gets notified about the necessity to undertake a class-up exam for his C to B class promotion and therefore, he heads off to the Silver Wolf guild’s HQ in the Phoenix Mountains to get the procedure underway.
2. Nikola meets with the guild’s top brass and is then instructed to go and meet his overseer for the exam, namely “Mercury Arseneault” who then gives him the trial of going to assist the lycanthropes of the “Lycan Woods” with their problem for which they have hired his guild, aka Silver Wolf and to that end, he heads off to their domain, aka the “Lycan Woods”.
3. Nikola heads into the “Lycan Woods”, but along the way, he gets promptly ambushed by two moonlight-maddened lycans and so, he begins retaliatory combat against them to protect himself from their unprovoked attacks. Lycan 1: 198 HP of 300 HP left and Lycan 2: 198 HP of 300 HP left (both due to Nikola’s counterattack)
