I've seen a lot of other forum sites use discord for its members. They usually have a channel or whatever it's called titled "Tag you're it" or "Rp tags". I think it would be a useful place to let people know if thier post was replied to, while also keeping it out of other chat areas. A place where people tag the person(s) they are rping with in discord where everyone tends to hang out 90% of the time. That's all my suggestion is. Little one.

Re: Discord Tag
i don't mind this, but i would like to try and see if people would be willing to do something else first
1) wrap a post link in <> tags in order to prevent it from embedding a giant box in the middle of the chat
2) don't link to the post at all because the person you're tagging will already know what thread it is the moment they open up site (in theory if they're watching that thread or simply remember)
3) dm the person that you've posted in __ thread and/or for __ character
some people already tag unnecessarily for posts / mass tag for group threads which is normally NOT necessary, and i wouldn't want to promote that at all
that having been said, i don't mind being pinged that someone has replied to me in the discord plotting hub, and i sincerely believe that if you take a moment to wrap your link in <> or not link at all (i find links are mostly only necessary for the FIRST post of the thread) and simply leave it as "posted for shiva @Ran <3" or dm the person directly it wouldn't be intrusive whatsoever
but that's my impression of it at least, if you guys have been plotting away in plotting hub and then find that someone is disrupting it heavily then this might be more necessary but that has not been my impression, except for a few times that could have been prevented following the first two steps above
(and of course all cases could be avoided by directly dming, but i know some people might not be comfortable with that)
in addition, should a specific "tagging" channel be added i would contribute the suggestion that links within that channel not be allowed to be embedded, to save space, clutter, and make things neater (aside from chatter not being permitted as well)

Re: Discord Tag
There are already so many avenues via which one can notify another member of the site that they've posted in a given thread, I don't think it's necessary. Locked and moved
