"FOR MAD SCIENCE!! TIME TO GET EXCITED, YOU GUYS."
Faustein’s assault did not stop but only increased in ferocity from there since he activated the next few attack spells in his planned sequence, the first of these being his “ Hundred Healings Seal: Release – Cherry Blossom Impact” spell. Faustein did this one by releasing the mana reservoir seal imprinted on the center of his forehead, at which time, extension markings rooted in the seal began to spread across his face and wrapped around his entire body. Then, he gathered a dense concentration of this released mana in one of his fists momentarily before releasing it afterwards all at once in an intensely concentrated, point-blank burst upon contact with the “floor” of the ogre statue’s dimensional lair. The resulting damage was enough to seriously fracture the surface in question in a striking manner and this sent up small, cherry blossom petal-sized and shaped particles of decimated surface into the air all around the area of the impact while leaving a giant crater within the max range of the spell, which was what gave the spell its name. The massive shockwaves generated by this spell collided with the ten Weeping Angel statues with a violent explosive sound which was followed by that of the statues cracking and finally crumbling away, and thus Faustein managed to destroy all ten of the Weeping Angel statues simultaneously. And then there were six…Faustein muttered with a cruel smirk playing on his thin cyanotic lips while examining his handiwork and taking a short break, and as he took this break, he made sure that he was keeping his eyes firmly trained upon the remaining enemies, namely the five Mage statues and of course, the big boss who was the ogre statue. How should I bring this battle to a close, I wonder? Perhaps my ‘Bone Katana – Camelia Dance’ spell should be saved for the ogre statue…which would leave…the ‘Dead Soul Recall’ spell…and perhaps after that…yes, that should work to bring this play to its finale…With that thought in mind, Faustein went on to begin casting his “ Dead Soul Recall” spell. To execute this spell, Faustein focused and channeled his mana into the “ground” of the hidden dimension to raise a small group of corpses upon which he quickly performed psychic surgery to temporarily make each of their hearts beat again. He then activated the portion of his mana that he had sent to become resident within each corpse to both control the specific body's movements and to hide all signs of the surgery, creating the appearance that the bodies were living people whereas they were simply a group of dead bodies being automatically moved by his mana which he has poured into them prior to activation. He even took the extra step of erasing the body odor of the corpses so that the statues would not notice the bodies’ decadent scents. Normally, he would have made them look like him, but in this case, there was no real need to do that since he realized it would not have any effect on the statues as they were merely golems and not actual living entities. After these preparations were done, he sent this small horde of conjured zombies to attack the five Mage statues and quickly destroyed them as well, leaving only the ogre statue remaining. Alas, the zombies were not powerful enough to take on the ogre statue for it had proceeded to wipe them all out with a pair of energy beams that it shot at them from its eyes. It not only has great physical strength, but also can shoot laser beams from its eyes? Just how many abilities does this boss statue have? This is quickly becoming irksome…Faustein grumbled thus with his thin cyanotic lips twisted downward into a scowl but ultimately, he resigned himself to these facts and simply refocused his attention on the matter at hand, namely the fact that he would have to put in extra effort if he wanted to be able to destroy the ogre statue completely. To that end, he conjured his bone katana again and then went into the beginning stance for his “ Bone Katana: Camelia Dance” spell. A split second later, he activated his teleport spell, aka his “ Xénosómectomy” spell to teleport himself at the ogre statue and ran up its titanic frame and performed the series of blindingly swift stabbing attacks with his bone katana at it. This new damage combined with the heavy damage that he had already dealt to it before was enough to destroy it once and for all after which the rest of the statues and the hidden dimension disappeared along with the ogre statue as it faded away to nothing, depositing Faustein back in the house which no longer had that foreboding aura he had felt when he first entered it. Well, that was annoying, but at least it is finished now…Faustein mused silently while sighing exasperatedly before heading off through the front door to the house after breaking the seal on it. Then, he headed over to the clients, informed them about the fate of their kith and kin as per the terms of the job contract, causing them all to break down into tears for several hours on end. However, since the job paid well, Faustein put up with the bawling and after the waterworks had run their due course, the leaders of the families who had regained their composure rewarded him handsomely at which point, Faustein stowed the money bag away in his backpack and then activated his spacetime manipulation chronograph and promptly disappeared from sight, being teleported back to his mansion in Magnolia Town where he was looking forward to a nice, long rest till the next job and/or adventure. 2. Faustein readies himself and head off to the Cursed Lands to meet the clients who hired him for this job and during the journey there, he reads through and memorizes all the details contained in the job request notification.
3. Faustein is dropped off at the Cursed Lands and proceeds to meet with the clients and is briefed on the details about the job at hand after which he heads off to undertake and complete it.
4. After studying the outside of the house thoroughly and after noting the statues inside, Faustein heads inside, only to be trapped by an unbreakable magic seal. Then, he begins exploring the house and is soon attacked by the first of the statues, a group of ten Cupid shaped statues in total. Faustein destroys 2/10 Cupid statues with simple melee attacks in this stage of his encounter.
5. Faustein continues his fight with the Cupid statues and destroys another 4 Cupid statues, leaving only 4/10 Cupid statues remaining, but is sapped of some of his mental energy by the statues after which he takes a short break.
6. Faustein destroys another couple of the Cupid statues while taking some more mental damage in the process, but then bears witness to the statues he had destroyed reform themselves completely.
7. Faustein decides to use one of the abilities of his new “Bringer of Death” Ascendant Ability, the one of choice this time being “Mortem” and so, he successfully destroys all 10/10 of the Cupid statues after which he moves onwards further into the house and despite his best efforts is unable to find the missing victims, but he does find another set of 10/10 statues looking like weeping angels along a long hallway with ten doors to ten rooms situated along its length as well.
8. Faustein begins to explore the rooms one by one and gets attacked by the Weeping Angel statues, so he fights back, destroying one of them, leaving nine remaining but at the cost of losing some more of his mental energy to said statues.
9. Faustein destroys the other two of the Weeping Angel statues that followed him inside the room and then heads out, only to be attacked by the remaining seven which he destroys in short order with his “Bone Katana: Camelia Dance” spell which is the first spell he uses so far in this job.
10. Faustein encounters a large chamber with five rooms in it and five statues of various famous mages in it as well and heads into one of the rooms after which he traps the five mage statues that followed him inside by teleporting out to the chamber and locking the door.
11. The mage statues that Faustein traps inside the room smash through the doors and walls of said room and escape, only for Faustein to destroy two of the five with his spells.
12. The remaining three mage statues manage to ensnare Faustein, and the ten cupid statues attack him as well, knocking him out cold and causing him to be teleported to their leader’s hidden parallel dimension where Faustein wakes up and begins investigating, only to find the long dead and mutilated remains of the missing victims he had been hired to find by his current clients.
13. Towards the end of his investigation, Faustein discovers the cause of the mysterious disappearances and deaths of the missing victims, aka a giant ogre statue which proceeds to attack him and destroy his physician-scientist’s outfit armor and cause heavy damage to him at which point Faustein grows enraged and enters into combat against it using his “Xénosómectomy teleport spell and his “Bone Katana: Camelia Dance” spell in tandem to inflict heavy damage on it in return.
14. Faustein proceeds into combat against the other statues called up by the ogre statue and destroys all ten of the Cupid statues among these which come to attack him.
15. Faustein raises a horde of zombies to destroy the mage statues and then uses his bone katana along with his teleport spell to annihilate the ogre statue after which he exits the house, informs the clients about the sordid fates of their kith and kin, gets paid handsomely for his work, and leaves the site to go back to Magnolia Town once more, looking forward to a nice, long rest till the next adventure.

Description: To execute this spell, Faustein first channels his mana into the bones of either or both upper or lower limbs to take control of and temporarily increase the metabolic activity of the osteoclasts and osteoblasts within said bones to an explosive degree. Then, he pulls any medium to long length bone from his body, such as a humerus or femur, that he modifies afterwards to look and function like a standard katana (his extracted bones regrow instantly to maintain skeletal integrity). With it, he repeatedly stabs and slashes at his target(s) up to a maximum of 10 times, doing so rapidly enough to create the appearance of afterimages. Each stab is directed at a slightly different part of the target, from a slightly different angle, and with slightly different regularity, making it difficult to predict each strike. Although target(s) may be able to dodge Faustein's attacks for a time, they will eventually be unable to keep up with the constant and "chaotic" strikes, giving Faustein the opening he needs to finally stab and severely injure them if not outright kill them. Upon impact, the extreme sharpness of the bone katana inflicts bleeding wounds upon the hit targets. Effect Summary: Basic Multi Target damage with 5% HP drain effect afflicted to all hit targets or the duration of this spell.

Then, he points at his chosen targets within the max range of the spell using either or both hands while making a slicing gesture as he would with a scalpel after which he turns his fingers towards himself or to some other chosen spot. This causes the chosen target to move from its original coordinates to the designated point within the max range of this spell. Faustein can use this either on himself or on any other target in this max range. This spell is normally used to extract impacted foreign bodies from the bodies of patients when there is no scope for physically removal via mundane surgical procedures. However, in battle, Faustein can use this spell to either teleport himself or some other target(s) from point A to B within the max range of this spell or to deprive a target of some object that is present on their person. Effect Summary: Teleportation of one or more targets (may or may not include Faustein) from original coordinates to new coordinates chosen by Faustein within the max range of this spell. REQUIRES EXPLICIT OOC PERMISSION TO USE ON OR FOR ANY PCS AND SPECIAL NPCS IN A GIVEN SITUATION (I.E. EVENT OR PC-RELATED NPCS)

Description: Faustein executes this spell by first channeling his mana into each component that comprises his body’s integumentary system, aka skin, covering either individual body part(s) or even that covering the entire body from head to toe. He can then use this mana to alter the characteristics of these components at will, in this case, to hyper-proliferate as well as hyperactivate the fibroblasts which produce and secrete the collagen and related proteins that give his skin its normal level of endurance. By doing so, he can temporarily enhance the durability of his skin till it is as hard or harder than diamond (i.e., till it becomes adamantine in nature). This allows his skin to act as living armor to ward off attacks, whether physical or magical, that maybe coming at him for the duration of this spell or until its durability runs out, whichever comes first. This is normally used to withstand falls and damage sources that would otherwise cause him injury in daily life, but in battle, it can also be used in the manner described above. Effect Summary: Creation of a 270 HP defensive barrier in the form of Faustein’s skin either on individual body parts or as far as his entire body from head to toe for the duration of this spell.

When Faustein looks at a target with these, various data about said target appears inside the targeting reticules as they would in a regular, holographic HUD. Alternatively, if the target happens to be far away, Faustein can beam these mana reticules from his eyes at the chosen target if they are within the max range of this spell, but the effect remains the same. This spell is normally used to gather information about a patient’s vitals, the presence of any foreign elements in their bodies, or other such things which would be critical for their treatment. However, in battle, Faustein can use this spell to gain insight into a target’s weak points which gives his offensive spells an increase in power upon impact with said target. Effect Summary: +55% to Faustein’s Spell Damage for the duration of this spell. REQUIRES EXPLICIT OOC PERMISSION TO USE TO GAIN ANY KIND OF INFORMATION ON OR FROM ANY PCS AND SPECIAL NPCS IN A GIVEN SITUATION (I.E. EVENT OR PC-RELATED NPCS)

Then, he rushes at the target(s) at his Character Speed (NOT THE SPEED OF THIS SPELL) while spinning rapidly before attacking them with a flurry of open palm strikes (he can either hit a single target up to 6 times or up to 6 targets, once each). Upon successful impact, the target(s) is/are not only dealt the damage of this spell, but also suffer(s) an artificially induced seizure which afflicts them with a moderate decrease in strength and speed due to the resultant interruption of physiological muscular activity for the duration of this spell. Normally, this spell is used in the event of the lack of an actual automatic external or internal defibrillator availability to either restart a patient’s heart or to reset a patient’s cardiac rate and rhythm back to default physiological parameters, but in battle, this spell can be used in the manner described above as well. Effect Summary: Basic damage and -2% to Strength and -2% to Speed afflicted on target(s) after successful impact for the duration of this spell
- Spell Descriptions:
Name: Medicosurgical Art: Plasma Scalpel (Iryōjutsu: Purazuma Kaibōtō) Rank: B MP Cost: 40 MP + 10% from Lost Magic = 44 MP effectively Category: Offensive Type: Multi Target Damage: 75 HP/hit (6 hits maximum for 450 HP total damage) Range: 75 m Speed: 55 m/s Duration: 6 posts Downside: +25% to Spell Damage for -50% to Spell Speed and -50% to Spell Range Description: Faustein channels his mana into each of his hands and uses it to generate and concentrate plasma from the air onto each hand. Then, he controls his mana to shape this gathered plasma into a small, sharp blade-shaped coat, one on each hand. Then, he rushes at the target and uses these plasma scalpels to attack the target(s) (up to a maximum of 6, either one target 6 times in total or 6 different targets, once each). Upon successful impact, these plasma scalpels can effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target slowed down and even afflict them with a decrease in either physical or magical prowess by cutting the nerves or mana network circuitry, respectively, that supply said targets’ musculature or body-wide mana ejection points. Normally, this spell is used for highly accurate incisions necessary in surgeries and anatomical dissections and in the event of lack of physical scalpel availability or when Faustein wants/needs to make cuts inside or on the patient’s body without creating an open wound, thus limiting the risks of an infection. Effect: Basic damage and -2% to Strength, -2% to Speed, -2% to Spell Damage afflicted on up to 6 targets max for the duration of this spell.

Name: Secret Skill ε – Designation: Dead Soul Recall (Hijutsu: Shikon Sōki) Rank: User Rank (Max: S-rank) MP Cost: 0 MP (the only MP cost paid is the cost of the copied enemy spell) Category: Offensive Type: Multi Target Damage: 112 HP (once each/target for 10 targets total or 10 times against a single target for 1120 HP total) Range: 50% of User Rank (Max: S-rank) Speed: 50% of User Rank (Max: S-rank) Duration: User Rank (Max: S-rank) Downside: +25% to Spell Damage for -50% to Spell Range and -50% to Spell Speed Description: To execute this spell, Faustein focuses and channels his mana into the earth to raise a small group of corpses upon which he quickly performs psychic surgery to temporarily make each of their hearts beat again. The user then activates the portion of his mana that is resident within each corpse to both control the specific body's movements and to hide all signs of the surgery, creating the appearance that the bodies are living people whereas they are simply a group of dead bodies being automatically moved by his mana which he has poured into them prior to activation. He even takes the extra step of erasing the body odor of the corpses so that others cannot notice the bodies’ decadent scents. Faustein likes to use these corpses he controls as doppelgangers to attack the selected target(s) after altering the corpses’ faces with plastic psychic surgery so that they look like him while he, the original, stays nearby, silencing his heartbeat so that he passes as a corpse to distract the target(s) of this ambush tactic. These corpses are also unique in that the mana that moves them can also let them copy any S rank or below spell coming at them and use it against the enemy target(s). This can only be done once per duration of the copied spell max. Meanwhile, Faustein can use the time he spends playing possum to scout the area for a potential exit just in case the worst possible outcome transpires in that situation. Effect: Basic Multi Target damage and copying effect applied to any one incoming enemy spell. Only a single spell may be copied per post max. In order to successfully copy a targeted spell, Faustein must pay the original MP cost of the copied spell. Only S-rank or below spells can be copied by this spell. Only spells that have been witnessed by Faustein as being actively used by target PCs and NPCs (both special aka player related and event, and regular) may be copied and these can be copied only for the duration of the thread in which they have been seen firsthand.
