I will never ask for nothing that I won't give in return
You will never have to question the value of my words
Amalie
It could almost be considered a respite, the task that awaited Amalie. After all, she would hardly consider this particular laborious, it was more tedious if anything. Alas, her dedication to Dies Irae was her reasoning for deciding to follow through with the task. It was her dedication that got her up every morning a little past the crack of dawn to train, and to also train any recruits that saw fit to join her. It was this commitment that had her scratching pen to paper for hours on end until her wrist ached, as she filled in form after form; assessing reports, reviewing jobs, and countless hours of research for the benefit of the guild. In all her life, she had never been so dedicated to anything, not the West Fiore Trading Company, nor her late husbands underground faction. They had been a means of survival, something she had simply endured to get by, a means to an end. But Dies Irae was different, it provided a sense of belonging that had previously been alien to the Articulation Mage.
The Commander stepped out of the carriage onto the misty grounds of Shirostume, her violently red guild uniform strikingly noticeable against the soft tones of the scenic streets that surrounded her. Amalie's ice-blue irises looking around for her assigned soldiers, who had been instructed to meet her here at one o'clock sharp. They still had a few minutes until they were due to arrive, and she was fully ready to handle any tardiness if they dared not to arrive on time. If there was anything she'd noticed about the guild, was that the recruits albeit determined lacked discipline and field experience. Which was why she had assigned herself a little training escapade. A group of random guild members to tag along with her during one of the more milder jobs the guild was requested to do. The simple handling of a rather meddlesome pest. The most recent sightings of the menace that Dies Irae often found themselves a target in rich streets of Shirostume. Amalie pulled the handgun from her waste, inspecting the barrel of Goldbrand as she waited for her gaggle of Soldiers to arrive.
