Byte has bioluminescent eyes, meaning that they don't just look neon green but they shine in darkness making them extra visible and provide enough natural glow to illuminate things within a few feet like a candle, though cast in a soft green light.
Personality:
Byte is fairly easy going and reserved, not liking to act rashly or without undo cause and likes it when she has some time to just think to herself. She doesn't like it when things get in the way with what she is doing or wants to accomplish and can get quite a temper with stubborn individuals despite being stubborn herself. She tries to be open and understanding but sometimes there are people that Byte thinks needs a good slap. She has strong feelings of right and wrong and never overlooks an opportunity to shut down a bastard who is picking on a little guy. Being easy going, she isn't so into overdramatic frenzies and fist-threats but sometimes there are just those dudes who don't know when to walk away, shut up, or can't understand the word "No". In those cases she's quite happy to get physical and let them get a taste of her fists and a boot to the groin.
She loves to eat and will gladly be persuaded into things over or for a good meal particularly of something she likes, such as her universal favorite foods of Tacos, Nachos, Pizza, Chili Dogs, Pecan Pie, Cheese Cake, orange cak- Well, a lot. But especially the first few. First impressions are easily made better by presenting her with something to eat, while they can easily go very sour if that first impression ruins her food. A punkass lowlife who smacks a taco out of her hands would likely feel her foot up their ass, while an intruder who interrupts a meal will either get a their head shoved up an elephant's ass or at least get the ole' fisheye.
When it comes to fighting, the last thing Byte wants to do is lose and would be hard pressed to give up a fight willingly and would push to the limits of her ability to win even just a sparring match working herself to death and back again if she has to. She tries to learn everything about her opponent before any fighting starts and take notes on the area and things beyond just her own capability to overcome a foe. She is willing to do whatever it takes to win, short of killing or maiming or cheating unfairly. Throwing sand in someone's eyes might not be cheating, but planting evidence against them unjustly to pack them away in a jail cell is simply out of the question unless they really are a rotten criminal.
Byte can sometimes, or usually and and often as she can help it, give off an air of confidence and resolve but Byte has a very tender heart and is easily touched. She cries at tragedies, she cries in romance movies, she screams when jump-scared, and she swoons over adorable animals. She hates being too tender, but thinks that everyone needs to have a soft side. Having a soft side is having humanity, and if you lack humanity... then what are you doing in life? So she is very caring, and considers others before her own gain.

Byte loves to eat food that contains a hefty amount of spice, enjoying hot peppers to a degree most cannot. Where she was raised, there was an infamous pepper known as the Dredda Kor, so hot that it caused chemical burns on those with sensitive skin. Even for hardier people, it left the skin tingling where it made contact. This was just the outside of the pepper. It was made illegal on two nations, and in many states or territories within others. To eat or sell the seeds of these peppers required special wavers and licenses.
This pepper, the Dredda Kor, had been a small goal for Byte. The first time she ate one, it kicked her ass, which for someone who eats without too much problem peppers the equivalent of Earth's Ghost pepper- is saying something. She continued to strive and returned a year later, again, ass kicked. She continued the cycle for five years until eventually she became capable of eating a Dredda Kor without any dangerous reactions or crippling sensations. A cold sweat, runny nose, that was the extent of it.
Other consumables Byte loves are sweet drinks with a thick taste to it, such a drink that was her holy grail was the Yolta, a similar beverage to Earth's Sobe by comparison. She enjoys carbonated beverages akin to Earth's Coke as well, it depends on the sensation she's craving, fizzy or smooth'n creamy. There isn't any major flavor or sensation that she doesn't like when the mood strikes her. One day might be steaks and bacon while the next might be Candyclouds and Stickpops, err, that is to say Cotton Candy and Lolipops.
-Dominating:
Byte loves to dominate. She doesn't like winning, she likes crushing the opposition. This is her own small satisfaction and is something of a confidence issue. In dominating she feels more assured of herself. In order to achieve domination, Byte likes to be as well informed on any subject before exposure and will do heavy research before engaging, taking time to plan carefully though keels her mind and creativity loose to adapt to hidden or mistaken factors. While creative, and she IS adaptable, she always has to know what's going on otherwise she feels stressed and out of control- weak. The risk of going in blindly to something gives her a special kind of adrenaline rush that she'd rather not have to experience, but the thrill of coming out on top even without foreknowledge... is invigorating.
-Animal Life:
Byte loves nearly all forms of animal life. She loves fishes, she loves birds, she loves reptiles, amphibians, mammals, all of them. Her favorite animals are snakes, cats, wolves, hamsters, horses... well shit, she loves just about all of them really. She is particularly stunned however, by Magical Beasts. Unicorns, Dragons, Griffons, none of these creatures existed where she was raised. Where she lived there were a lot of unique creatures, and in all honestly most of them were more magical then a lot of the creatures here in "Earthland", but they're all new creatures for her to discover and befriend. Where she grew up people on a whole cared greatly for their Beasts in a mutual relationship. The beasts of her world were also far more intelligent then what much of Earthland's beasts are like, and they don't seem capable of growing as strong either in general. So, Byte intends to meet the more intelligent Beasts of this Fiore and train them, better them, and grow with them.
Dislikes:
-Poachers:
Conflicts with Byte's love of animal life. Poachers are fiends in her eyes, violating law to hung classified game. Animals that are under the protection of the law are protected for a reason, be it the survival of their species, or unknown factors such as emergent intelligence- a phenomenon that happened frequently where Byte was raised- or other mysteries.
In a similar vein to poachers, Byte hates Murderers. They're like poachers, but far crueler and they slay her own kind. Well. Sort of. Close enough, Byte considers the humans of Earthland 'her kind' within reason. She understands she is different, but human beyond race is also an idea, a concept. Helps when they look so similar as well.
Byte can't help but shed a tear at the knowledge that someone has lost their life to crime or accident, or that there is one less magical beast in the world. Even the most vicious of beasts can be tamed.
-Defeat:
Byte hates defeat, in small games it hurts a little, but it strikes her on a personal level when its something more important then a game of cards. It messes with her sense of self, drains on her confidence, and makes her beat herself up over what she could have done better, why she's so stupid and made this mistake or that, why did she not notice that move there. It's taxing, defeat, but it is an evil she has to live with, no one is perfect and defeat is just a step in the road to perfection. Without defeat, there wouldn't be the incentive to push harder then before, and there wouldn't be room to test yourself. She understands this. She hates it, but she understands it.
-Unclean Science:
Byte's own world was almost lost to pollution in it's earlier, comparatively, history. Trash was abound, harmful oils and plastics ravaged lands, skies and seas. The very void around their once blue planet was clouded in waste. Filth reigned, but so did radiation, Fallout and radioactive storms, whole zones for hundreds of miles around cordoned off. Humanity and indeed most life on the planet was almost wiped out until underground teams started finding answers. In the upcoming seven hundred years they'd managed to clean the planet up, and over the next thousand saw improvements in not just human life, but animal life as well. See the Emergent Intelligence phenomenon. Those early generations served as a warning to all her people, and one of the first questions asked in development 'Is it clean?", referring to various forms of pollution and radiation as well as environmental impact.
This dislike of hers pushes her to almost hate the Neutral Grounds. But she hates the unclean state of science there, not the people. The people are bold, working with sciences many barely comprehend.
Motivations:
-The Advancement of Humanity:
Byte's greatest desire is the advancement of humanity to a point of technological advancement, since her arrival in Fiore and her exposure to magic she dreams of a melding of science and magic to achieve dreams humanity blindly ignored in her own time.
-The Betterment of Pegasus:
Byte owes a great deal to Blue Pegasus that she would not soon forget. She repays all her debts. She wishes the best for the Blue Pegasus guild and is willing to go to great lengths to pay them back double for what they've done for her.
-The Conquest of Death:
Byte's ultimate goal is to overcome and defeat Death. For too long Death has reaped Life, keeping existence trapped under it's shadow. An inevitable fate for all that lives. Having a personal vendetta against Death, Byte will continue to square off against Death for as long as she lives. And she means to live a long time, a long time indeed.
Fears:
-Sudden Scares:
Byte is afraid of sudden jump-scares, anything that appears sudden and unexpectedly gets her every time. She jumps, she screams- which ties in to her Defeat dislike to her, makes her feel defeated to do something so... childish or stereotypically girly as to scream. However, sudden loud noises and visual anomalies make her panic for a second, if she wasn't expecting them. Tying into this fear is Thunderstorms. Byte's adrenaline pumps like a madmuthertrucker, she fears them irrationally and she is aware of it. When she was young she was caught in a in a lifeboat on her own during a thunderstorm when she was only seven. She got the boat in the water herself and took off without her parents knowing- they weren't around a lot- with only her best friend and their two Companion Beasts. During this storm all three of them were lost on rough stormy waters. She herself only survived because of the arrival of a Seilephish- a magestic creature similar to a Sea Dragon mixed with a mermaid, mixed with a horse this creature was not able to save her friends, they were lost minutes before she was and they had already lost their lives.
-Boats:
Byte is deathly afraid of boats. She'd rather ride on the back of a sea creature any day, for reasons mentioned above. Whenever she is in a boat she is reminded with distorted flashbacks of memories long ago of capsizing boats, rough towering waves, the crack of lightning, and the suffocating waters. She can barely stand boats, but is panics on the inside visibly, only remaining in a boat as long as absolutely necessary, sitting deathly still trying not to rock the boat, or nervously stepping into them as if she were trying to diffuse a bomb. She'd prefer the bomb. Related to this would be a fear of rough and large bodies of water, being scared of swimming in lakes, rivers, or oceans especially on very windy days with lots of waves.
-Dolls:
Byte is horrified by Dolls. Dolls are morbid witchy sorcerous mimicries of life with souless eyes and the silent stillness of the grave. They could be housing evil spirits or, as is the reason she is scared of them, deadly society-breaking viruses that rape artificial systems and assimilate memories. The Doll Uprising of 62'. Byte was there, she saw the Dolls bind to their hosts, tear into their Cognitive Storage, and devour memories and personalities leaving empty bodies in their wake. Most humans from Byte's world were at least partially synthetic, most humans having remade techno-organic bodies, so these dolls were the stuff of nightmares and heavy government action had to be put down to end the Dolls. This happened when Byte was only fourteen, she had a Doll of her own that tried to kill her. Never again. You don't know, man. You just. don't. know.

Appearance:
Byte is a somewhat short young woman, nineteen years old- nearly twenty- with long orangy-red hair and bright green eyes. All her natural coloration is vibrant, but she has a dislike for makeup. Makeup was a devolved trend where she grew up and practically nobody but actors used it, though Makeup for them wasn't the same as makeup in Earthland. She has a slim figure and a perfect skin complexion as all humans do, at least where she lived. But in her world the small inconveniences of the organic body were rectified with techno-organic and gene-fixing solutions, most of her sex being merged with cat traits while males were merged with dog traits.
Yes, cat traits.
Byte has certain cat like characteristics especially on an internal and structural level. They don't particularly have much visual impact on the outside but in the inner workings it can definitely be seen. She has a certain agility, grace, and charm akin to a feline along with certain bone formations and consistency hinting at where cat ears might form, and she is able to bend and twist her body in a way normal humans can't typically do. She can fit her whole body, though painfully, through any hole she can fit her head through without any sacrifice of the feminine human body shape. Though it would look reasonably painful watching her do so.
Techno-organically, Byte's veins, nerves, bones, and muscles are all reinforced and perform at superhuman levels as detailed in her magic application with goes to lengths on her enhancements.
Together Byte is capable of producing a universally pleasing scent, against her will, it's simply the way she smells, that makes Beasts more amiable with her. Friendly even. Making it easier for her to understand empathetically what beasts are going through or trying to communicate and the same with the Beaset in regards to her.
She typically prefers to wear soft and looser clothing such as her checkered hoodie with long sleeves and cargo pants. So long as they're not too bulky or baggy on her. She prefers to dress in pants over skirts but will wear them if she must, for formal occasions or if the situation calls for it. She can often be seen with various devices, such as her cat-ear headphones.
