Job Description: Clover Town has reported that a group of teenagers visited Camp Azure Lake on a dare; out of the eight, only two returned alive. They claim that a masked man attacked and killed the group. Local legend has it that Azure Lake is haunted by an infamous serial killer who once killed the entire roster of camp counselors in an evening of bloodlust before vanishing. Your job is to search for clues concerning the camp and stop the sinister activity.
- Notes on Camp Azure Lake:
- The camp has four journals scattered in its buildings. Players are encouraged to find them all to learn what happened in the camp when it was still operational. The contents are up to players, but they must pertain to camp life, such as camp activities and a child who is deeply afraid of water and refuses to take part in water sports.
- Players are free to make details, such as the general condition of the camp, crime scene evidence (bloodstains, bodies, etc.), and more.
- Players are free to make details about the child with a fear of water, such as appearance and mannerisms. It's likely that something happened at the lake.
- Alternate Ending Options:
-If players search the camp thoroughly, they will come across a hidden basement. There they will find a baseball cap and another journal in a taped-shut box. Reading the contents reveals that some of the camp counselors, fed up with a young camper afraid of water, dragged him from his cabin and threw him into the camp's lake, fully aware of the fact that the youth could not swim. The child drowned and the counselors covered the incident up, claiming that the kid wandered off during a camping trip in the woods. If players have all three of the previous journals, then they will deduce that the child is the son of the killer.
-If players take the cap and present it to the killer without offering violence to him or destroying it, maybe even offering an apology for what happened, he thanks the players, takes the cap, and walks towards the lake. There he is met by the ghost of the child, who welcomes his father. Teh two vanish, for now. The job can be finished without any further combat.
-If players destroy the hat in front of the killer, then he immediately enters an enraged state and combat begins. There is no peaceful resolution from this point onward. He must be killed to end the job.
- Creepy Sounds
While traveling through the camp, you may hear creepy whispering. It sounds something like "Key key key... ha ha ha. Key key key... ha ha ha." While it inflicts no physical damage, it may become unnerving... or annoying, depending on one's state of mind at the time. It will also laugh, which is arguably more alarming. When you get near structures, you'll hear agonizing shrieks and the sound of metal meeting flesh. Around the lake, mages may hear screaming for help. The tone sounds like a young child and splashing may be heard.
Enemy Rank: Weak - Spectral Counselor x4
Often encountered in the camp's buildings, these beings are the specters of the camp's former counselors whose careers and lives were cut short by the serial killer. These blue ghosts attempt to verbally warn visitors away but sometimes end up frightening them into the arms of the killer instead. Their hands are cold and inflict Ice damage and numbness to anyone they grip. They may also pull mages around in an effort to get them to leave, but a single spell can dissipate them.
Enemy Rank: Weak - Sadistic Spectral Counselor x4
Much like their normal counterparts, these spirits are former camp counselors who ended up dead. Unlike their normal counterparts, these spirits mean harm to any and all living beings. Often found around the lake, they sometimes appear in camp buildings. If they grab a player, the player feels a sense of numbness and takes Ice damage as they are dragged towards the lake. If they cannot break free or if teammates cannot help them, they are thrown into the camp's lake. They'll try to hold them underwater to drown them, but they are easily dissipated like the others.
Enemy Rank: Normal - Camp Killer
He may be shrouded in myth, but his machete is very real. Tall and heavy, the killer doesn't seem to have a discernible face. It's shrouded in some sort of magic, or even something more ghostly. He wields his bloodstained blade with authority and can move surprisingly fast for his height and bulk. He is also surprisingly tough, so be ready for a fight! His killing intent is as chilling as the numbing ice abilities of all those he killed.
Enemy Rank: Boss
Enemy HP: 1000HP
Enemy MP: 500MP
Enemy Melee Damage: 75 HP per cut with his machete, 75 HP per punch or kick, 150 HP per stab with his machete. These numbers double if the killer becomes enraged.
Enemy Speed: 150m/s
Reward: 75,000 jewel.
