Amidst the cold wind and the knee-high snow, Tor was trudging back towards the Rune Knight headquarters. He was returning from the next town, having been assigned to assist in an investigation that involved a medium-sized gang. It had been a few months since the young man had joined the Rune Knights, the faction that kept the streets peaceful in Fiore, and he had been surprised by how true Shane’s words had been. Joining the Rune Knights had benefited in more ways than one, aside from not having to worry about his food and lodging. More importantly, it had given him a new lease on life, something to work towards. It was still a stretch to say that it had given him purpose in life, but hey, at least he had a respectable job.

Tor made a turn around the corner and he soon saw the huge headquarters at the end of the street. The chill had barely affected him owing it to his bloodline, allowing him to take in the wintry atmosphere. He was wearing his uniform rather casually, leaving his collar unbuttoned and had his hands in his pant pockets, whistling a Christmas song that was horribly out of tune. The people passing him by in the streets could barely even make out what the monotonous whistling was.

Finally reaching the building and opening the doors, welcoming the blast of warmth to assault him, Tor took out his right hand and swept it across his blonde hair, sweeping the snow out of them. As his eyes glanced casually around the reception area, his eyes suddenly landed on what he would say was the most delightful image ever. Lilith, or rather, Captain Kadokawa standing by the window, holding a thermos in her hands, gazing wistfully out of the window. Tor stood at the entrance in a daze with a goofy smile plastered on his face, his left hand still holding the doors open while he just straight up stared at the beauty with an angelic visage and a devilish physique.

Tor continued staring at the dark-haired beauty in front of him, eyes unflinching even after he had been caught ogling. There was nothing at this moment in time that would make him voluntarily pull his attention from Lilith. It was after all, a rare sight for him to witness the newly-minted captain in her style of casual yet breathtaking outfit. Even when she had arched an eyebrow and cocked her head to the side, it made Tor’s heart thumped even faster, enjoying the slightly confused expression on her face.

And when she walked towards him, his mind was already embellishing it as fantastically as hell. His idiotic brain had omitted everything around the woman sauntering over towards him, darkening everything around her and placing an spotlight that followed as she moved closer and closer towards him. And those emerald eyes. Pools of emerald so deep and clear that Tor found himself drowning within them. Of course, all of these had happened within a matter of a few seconds or a minute at the longest, but time seemed to have stretched for the young man.

While he was normally flirty and liked nothing more than to chat up or spend some time with beauties, that very beauty was also one of Tor’s biggest weakness. Tor felt like he had taken a bullet to his heart, a pink heart-shaped bullet that exploded into a million heart-shaped confetti, when the purring voice of Lilith struck him in the ears and the warmth of her two hands sandwiching his free hand. He had even buckled slightly, one of his knees giving way. Thankfully, he had caught himself before just completely dropping to the ground.

With the ever loud thumping of his heart in his ears, the sound of blood rushing so obvious, Tor had to take care to not shout too loudly.

“Hey lovely,” Tor tried to speak as smoothly as he could, hoping that he was not stuttering. “What great timing, I was just about to head to the festival alone as well.”

He had no idea why he had lied so blatantly, especially when she had seen him coming in through the doors. He wanted to facepalm himself so badly that he would fall over backwards but he had to soldier through.

“Shall we go on our date?” Tor smiled excitedly as he held his right hand up, the one that Lilith had originally took. At this moment, somehow he had held her hand in a grip with interlocking fingers. Like hell if he was going to let go of that soft hand.

'Normal Dice' :

Tor grinned in response to Lilith’s reaction, glad that she hadn’t just flung his hand away or shown any sort of rejection. He was pulled out of the building, back into the chilly winds that he had partially escaped a few minutes earlier. The momentary stinging of the winds on his face before he got accustomed to them brought him back to his senses, and the new Rune Knight private’s enthusiasm was finally kept in check. Gone was the idiotic fool who would look at Lilith with big doe eyes and a fawning grin, replaced by his normal confident self. He still looked at Lilith with adoration though. Those feelings weren’t gone, just in better control.

When he was offered eggnog, Tor was quick to react to it, with a scrunched-up nose.

“Nope. I like alcohol but not eggnog. The smell gets to me in a way I can’t describe,” Tor replied, looking around when they arrived at the festival. Despite the cold weather, the festive mood in the air seemed to have melted it all away, replaced by a sense of comfort from seeing everyone just crowding around to enjoy themselves and the company of their loved ones. Tor would smile wryly as he continued to look around. While he had long gotten over being an orphan, as he liked to believe, every once in a while he would be struck by pangs of longing for the warmth and love of a family. Especially when it came to the holiday seasons.

Having fallen into silence for a moment as he watched the families around him, Tor was fortunately pulled out of that hole when Lilith started the conversation.

“Everything’s okay so far. I’ve got a place to sleep, food, and a job to do. No sudden desire to go all heroic yet though,” Tor answered back with a grin, looking at the girl beside him and following her eyes to see what she was looking at. As they walked through the crowd, a voice suddenly approached them and the two of them turned around to look. The grin on Tor’s face grew when he heard the man call them a couple.

“Hah! Guessing? You are looking at the master of guessing games,” Tor boasted for no good reason, the maturity that he had shown earlier suddenly dropping another level. Turning towards the man, Tor had to ask. “So, which one can I take?”

“Feel free to choose any,” the man replied, quickly opening his arms to gesture at the pile of presents before quickly crossing them against his chest again. There was a mischievous glint in the man’s gaze as he smiled at them. Giving him a quick glance and then eyeing the pile of presents, Tor randomly picked out one of the nicely wrapped presents. He had chosen one in the shape of a rectangle. The wrapping paper was a dark shade of green with a varying pattern of pink hearts and a pair of arrows, pointing in opposite directions all over it.

Flipping it around in his hands, Tor began to hold it up to his right ear and then shake it gently to try and see if he could get any hints from it. However, the moment he shook it, a warmth began to spread from the present into his fingers and down his arm. Tor let out an exclamation of surprise as he dropped the present back into the pile, but the surge of warmth was still travelling throughout his entire body. Eyes wide, the young man moved back one step and looked down at his body. Nothing could have stopped his jaw from dropping.

“What the --?” Tor managed to utter before stopping midsentence. If he could see his own reflection in a mirror, he would realize that his eyes were slightly bigger and rounder than usual, with long lashes to boot. The large round eyes were opened wider than ever. His voice had became slightly more high pitched. And his toned pecs had been replaced by a rather buxom chest. Tor gave a quick glance at Lilith, making a mental comparison and was slightly disappointed to see that his was smaller.

But the man caught himself and gave himself a slap on his face. No, what the hell was he doing? Comparing chest sizes? He had just turned into a woman, for crying out loud.

And in the most vulgar of actions, Tor’s hand moved down to his nether parts, wildly searching for something. Another wave of thunder boomed in his mind, threatening to give him a heart attack, when he couldn’t grasp for anything.

“What the hell did you to me?” Tor shouted out as he slammed his hands on the table, giving the man a death glare.

“Just a little fun?!” Tor fumed as his already large eyes increased in size with anger this time. But like a small campfire on beach being subdued by a great wave, the rage was washed away by a tingling sensation as petit fingers ran down his shapely waist. Tor instantly turned around to look at Lilith instead with pure surprise on his face and then came the killer attack. For a second, as soon as their fronts touched, Tor’s mind erupted, blasting away every single thought in his mind as he just stared blankly at the girl in front of him. In his ears, the only thing he could hear was his blood rushing and heart thumping like war drums on a battlefield. And the weirdest part of it was, Tor had no idea where his blood would rush to. He knew what would happen immediately if he was still in his male body, but as a girl, he didn’t know what to expect.

The one thing he knew was that his face and neck was getting extremely warm, flushed with blood. What she had said hadn’t really registered in Tor’s mind, the proximity of Lilith having affected him more than the gender swap.

“Yea sure…” Tor said blankly, as he just followed behind Lilith in his mind-blown state. It had been happening too frequently to him. Just within the span of an hour, he had already been thrown off by Lilith’s unexpected advances twice. As he slowly returned to his sense, Tor’s eyes suddenly picked up something extremely interesting and a sly grin came to his face as he suddenly tugged on Lilith’s hand to make her stop.

Tor did nothing but wait under the mistletoe, pointing upwards with an index finger, the hand bobbing up and down as he smirked.

“I remember vaguely you said something about quite liking me like this and something about shame?” Tor mischievously grinned. “I would be so distraught if I don’t uphold Christmas traditions though..”

Tor had already braced himself mentally when he had made his move under the mistletoe. He had lost two battles so far, but the war was far from over. The expression on his face mirrored the one on Lilith’s as she replied devilishly to his comment, her movements swift. Tor could very clearly feel their bodies touching again, again wondering it would have been like if he was in his original body instead. Would she have acted so brazen as well?
 
“Ohhh.. we are definitely getting coals in both our stockings this Christmas,” Tor cooed happily in response.
 
However, Tor knew to take things as it is. Right now, in this female body, he was still enjoying it in his own way. The proximity between zeroed with a snap, and like this, the two of them were immediately face to face, her slender albeit cold fingers reaching to the back of her neck, pressing their bodies closer. Tor wasn’t resisting it at all, he just moved with the flow.
 
A last sultry remark came from the raven-haired angel in front of her, before her mouth was brought to his. Tor had been mentally tempered over the last two ‘attacks’ and while he had prepared himself for a bombastic and fantastic kiss, Tor still found his mind almost blown away into oblivion as those luscious lips made contact with his. Not to mention that Lilith had wrapped herself around him, bringing the kiss even further.
 
Tor knew what game she was playing at, and while he could just let his mind fade, allow Lilith to take the lead and just enjoy the kiss as much as he could, it was time for Tor to counterattack. Lilith may have conquered her neck, the high ground, but Tor was targeting another area. Ignoring the dumbstruck gazes of the people around them, caring not for the daring display of affection in the middle of the street where old and young were caught off guard by what the two were doing, Tor stepped it up even further.
 
His hands rested gently on the small of Lilith’s back and pulled her in even deeper, to the point, there was no longer any gap between their two bodies at all. With the deeper kiss, Tor’s tongue began to peek out of his own petit lips, escalating the kiss further. Instead of just savoring the moment, Tor was hellbent on creating a moment that the two of them would never forget.

The corners of Tor’s lips curved upwards slightly, as his advances was accepted by Lilith, his probing tongue being welcomed by hers as her lips parted. A different kind of tingling than the one that Lilith had put him through twice over the night sent goosebumps throughout his entire body, as he began to feel a new emotion rise up. It was passion, raw passion flaming through his entire body as he savored the kiss, their tongues moving around in a dance that consisted of a combination of slow and fast, pushing Tor nearer and nearer to the edge.

At this very moment, with the way the atmosphere had built up between them, the sexual tension so thick that they could it with a knife, Tor wished dearly that he wasn’t trapped in this female body. It was a dilemma he found himself in, for if he hadn’t turned into a girl by magic, he wouldn’t even have had the chance to explore this much with Lilith.

When the kiss had reached its climax, Tor realized the distance between them, slowly growing as Lilith pulled back. Tor blinked in confusion a few times, but when he saw Lilith gently touch her own lips with her fingers, Tor’s eyes glinted.

“Warmer huh? I think I know just the place,” Tor replied in an equally low and sultry voice, licking his lips naughtily as he spoke. Allowing himself to be pulled along by Lilith, Tor then turned his attention around himself, looking high and low for the perfect spot where they could further enjoy the festive mood, away from the cold winds as Lilith had wanted.

A grin appeared on Tor’s face when he finally spotted a neon signboard flashing with the words “Karaoke” in green and red lights. Tor tugged slightly on Lilith’s hand, and with gusto, pulled the brunette into the building, hurriedly asking to have a private room and then rushing right to the room without needing any guidance from the staff.

It was a rather small room, with a huge television on the wall, a small coffee table in the middle of the room and a U-shaped couch positioned around the table. On top of the table, there were only three items: the remote control and two microphones. Tor closed the door behind them, and reached for the remote on the table, expertly browsing through the songs available, already knowing what he wanted to find. The moment he pressed play, music could be heard from the speakers in the wall.

It was an old song, but one of his favorites: Can You Feel The Love Tonight.

Tor grabbed one of the microphones and passed one of them to Lilith with a grin.

“Let’s sing?”

Tor’s face paled as he saw Lilith’s expression dropped right with the microphone in her face. However, with the determination of someone marching into a battle, Lilith took a huge swig out of her flask, using alcohol as a catalyst before slamming it down vigorously on the table before standing up. The male Rune Knight grinned at her sudden display of ferocity, and when the two of them began singing, their combined prowess was enough to tear down the building.

The heavens were never unfair when it came to people, and for the two Rune Knights in the room, it was apparent that they could never have it all. They had the looks and the smarts to go far in life, so it was only right that they should lack some talents. In their case, the talent to sign. In certain cases, talentless people could still sing but not at the level where they could attract attention or capitalize on it. For the two Rune Knights, saying that they were not talented was just scraping the tip of the iceberg. Rather, they weren’t even capable of singing. At all.

The door to the room was bust open midway through the song, with many people having gathered in the corridor, complex expressions on their faces. The two men that had charged into the room, obviously the employees of the karaoke place since they were wearing similar outfits had a pleading expression on their faces.

“Esteemed guests, our karaoke isn’t really that well-equipped when it comes to soundproofing. I can give you an extra hour in this room, all the free snacks and drinks that you want. Just as long as you just enjoy the songs and don’t sing along,” one of the employees pleaded, both hands clapping together in front of him as he looked at Tor. The other one was holding the door open with his leg and was silently begging for him to accept it as well.

Smiling sheepishly at the two employees and at the crowd outside their room, Tor was deeply embarrassed and could only nod his head a few times. Only when they saw this did the two employees slowly retreated out of the room. The one that had spoken up earlier added on before finally closing the door, “If you need anything, just give us a call through the intercom. Any snacks, any drinks, just say the word.”

While it hadn’t turned out the way he thought it would, Tor could only turn around to look at Lilith and sat beside her on the couch, awfully close and extremely inappropriate for colleagues.

“So… we have this room for another two hours, free drinks to rehydrate ourselves when needed, great sound systems to create an ambience, and not too bad soundproofing as long as we don’t get too excited. What do you think we should do?” Tor asked coyly, his lips slowly curving into a mischievous grin.

Tor would feel a slight tingle that travelled through his entire body as he felt Lilith’s hand on the back of his neck. He had always been a flirt, never a playboy, which was a line one would find difficult to cross. As such, his experiences of such levels of intimacy wasn’t as plentiful as his appearance and actions would lead one to believe. A small gasp left his lips, as Lilith’s lips pecked down his neck, her gentle breath tickling his skin. Was this what it was like to be on the other end? Had he been this skillful before when pulling his moves on a girl? Or was Lilith particularly masterful at this?

However, the most important question that floated to his mind in his thrilled state was: Why not just let it all go and see what she could do?

“Why don’t you find out?” Tor replied in a low whisper to Lilith’s questions. As he spoke, Tor moved his hands. One hand crept up Lilith’s chin, pulling her head back up and planting a deep kiss and then leaning back entirely onto the lounge, wanting for Lilith to follow him while his other hand was already moving to the front of his shirt.

“Let’s use the time we have left wisely, don’t you think?” Tor continued speaking, the hand that had caressed Lilith’s face earlier hanging off the lounge while the other was dexterously unbuttoning his shirt, one button at a time, at a slow pace. When he reached the last one, Tor’s hand flopped to the side lightly. With Lilith opposite him, Tor was willing to be submissive one this time. Who knows how much more pleasure he would be able to discover from this silly Christmas incident?

“Would you like to unwrap your present?” Tor asked with a grin.
