Job Description: Within a town somewhere, there's an organization that specializes in dealing with spirits. They mostly deal with ridding the world of the malicious kind. Once a soul is captured, they are fed into a machine that drains their supernatural power and converts it into power to support the functions of the company and the town around it.
The organization is embarrassed to admit it, but they've run into a problem they are powerless to stop. It seems one or more of the recently captured spirits being kept in one of the batteries was stronger than they could have ever imagined. When fed into the machine to be converted to usable energy, it instead took it over and shut it down. Now the company and the town is suffering a blackout. Even worse, it's releasing the other malicious spirits in the batteries to haunt the villagers!
The goal of this mission is simple, either recapture all the malicious spirits or find a way to release them from this realm and defeat the one clogging up the converter machine so power can be returned to the town.

Dark, shapeless wisps made of power negative emotions are scattered all over the place and act very strangely. They will hold completely still until someone gets within 10 meters, then they will either dart just out of range once more and try to lead you away from the town, or they'll zoom toward you and try to phase through you. Contacting one makes you feel incredibly weak under the weight of intense bad vibes. Recapture them or hit them with a B-Rank attack to release them.

While mostly weak by themselves, the real threat of these spirits is that they band together to mob anyone living, including you! Just be thankful that most of the spirits from the batteries took the chance to escape instead of get revenge, or this would be even worse. Each spirit takes a single C-Rank hit to disperse if you can't catch them, but their vengeful hurricane attack on you causes a damaging AoE over the whole town that causes 5% HP damage per post until all of them are taken care of. Once you get in range, they'll summon all their horrific voices together and unleash a shriek so powerful that it causes 2x B-Rank damage to anyone in a 15 meter radius.

Once you reach the machine, you'll notice that it's clogged and dripping with some sort of glowing ectoplasm. While staying hidden in the machine would make the whole situation even harder to solve, this spirit has a lot of rage and pride pent up. It won't waste the chance to take its frustrations out on you! His corrosive ectoplasm attacks will cause A-Rank damage and 5% HP drains that stack and persist until healed or the thread ends. His otherworldly shrieks will cause 2x A-Rank damage and deafen. It'll take 6x A-Rank damage to defeat it.
