Markus Eldridge
Markus would take a deep breath as the shadows around him folded suddenly from view and he found himself staring at the noon day sun of Fiore. Squinting a bit he would look around himself, recognizing the land around him. The chaos mage had found himself in the eastmost edge of the Bellum and Pergrande border, in the distance he could see the sound that would lead into the ocean, and at his feet he knew stood the last of the large mountains that turned fully into Bellum.
Bellum has not changed much, which did not surprise the chaos mage. In fact, Bellums need to remain stubborn in their ways has been one of the biggest point of contention for the chaos mage, and his family. That, and Markus’ desire to destroy his fathers empire. Though, that was entirely his families fault, as far as he was concerned.
Markus had chosen his arrival point with utmost care, he did not want to be caught in his entrance to Bellum, for the last thing he needed was info getting out about his whereabouts, whether that info got to his guild, or his father it didn’t matter. If only he had known that he should have chosen a spot just a few miles in any other direction.
Truth be told, he had been gone from this realm for the last few month, his travels to other worlds taking him far from home, and if he was being honest if it was not for the fact that he was meeting someone in Bellum, he would probably have headed straight to Magnolia in hope to see a certain white haired beauty whom he had not kissed in far too long. Though, until such a time that he could meet her again, he would deal with the job he had.
Walking forward, the Chaos mage would feel a strange sensation, a large force of magic was nearby, far stronger than he would have expected for the area, and made of a large amount of people. Sticking to the shadows, and using his abilities he would slip from his current position to the top of a hill, a curious eye looking upon a sight he did not expect to see.
Though he had seen gathering forces before, Markus had never seen an collection of mages so tightly wound. He would recognize their insignia as that of the Bellum Magic Forces. Even more surprising, Markus would see what looked to be the Arcane armor which belonged to Bellum’s Archpriests.
As much as Markus wanted to give in to his curiosity, he knew that such a thing would only mean trouble. As such, he would turn preparing to shift back into the void, ready to once more fade into darkness…
Only to be suddenly distracted by the sound of a loud horn, and the sudden bustling of men and woman. Swearing to himself, Markus would sigh and release his magic, realizing that he had been spotted. Turning about Markus would watch as a section of the army would peel off heading towards him.
