Light Bringer
Protectors of Sacred Life
Overview
Born out of the founder, Kenzo Yonokaze’s, passion and zeal, Light Bringer was founded based on one principle - the eradication or banishment of demonkind and their followers from the physical realm. In Kenzo’s experience, demons and their ilk had been naught but a plague on humanity and their demesnes since time long forgotten. The worst of demons bring pain and death wherever they roam, while followers and worshippers lick their heels and bring their own brand of misery to those whom they encounter. Lesser demons trick or beguile humans, offering them power in exchange for servitude. After spending years fighting his own personal war against demonkind, Kenzo decided to form a guild of his own to attract others of a similar mindset and aid him in his crusade.
Goals
Roles
Members of Light Bringer follow three general paths - seeking out demon and dark guild activity in the land of Fiore, hunting and slaying said demons or dark guilds, and providing aid to the people of the nation who have been harmed or wronged by demonkind and their followers.
Guild Hall
Located atop a peak known as the Iron Mountain in the Central Mountains, the Light Bringer guild hall consists of an ancient castle, leftover from some bygone war. The castle overlooks a windswept pass and snow-covered mountains, surrounded by stark natural beauty. Kenzo spent a considerable amount of time and resources repairing and refurbishing the castle, making it suitable to live in once more. The castle has a long bridge connecting it to the other side of the pass, defended by a pair of towers. It also contains a central building that is home to the guild’s main hall, a large tower that holds quarters for the guild master and his aces as well as the guild master’s office, eight other towers containing quarters for the guild, and a large interior courtyard used for sparring and training. It has easy access to fresh water in the form of a small lake, fed by a huge waterfall behind the castle. The guild master wouldn’t recommend swimming in this lake, however, as it is near freezing constantly.
The main hall’s largest room is the meal hall, which is lined with plentiful tables down the center for guild members to eat, drink and socialize at. At the far end is a private table for the master and his aces should they choose to dine with the regular members. It is flanked by Doric pillars supporting arches that brace the high vaulted ceiling, from which hangs a chandelier over each table. Stained glass windows perforate the walls, which are draped in banners and hold torches to keep the dark and cold at bay. Adjacent to the meal hall is the entrance hall, which also holds the guild’s job board for members to find missions to undertake. The entirety of the guild hall’s interiors, including to a certain extent the courtyard, is kept warm by Kenzo’s magic, imprinted into the very stones by ancient runes drawing on the natural mana of the surrounding area, as well as plentiful fires and torches kept ever-burning by the first master’s power.
Guild Pet
The ‘pet’ of the guild Light Bringer is a large phoenix that Kenzo encountered residing in the Central Mountains. The majestic bird bonded with the guild master, and deigned to share it’s incredible powers with him and the members of his guild.
Guild Mark
The guild mark of Light Bringer is of a simple yet effective design - a sword superimposed with a sunburst, evocative of spreading light via the sword, or by fighting. The mark also acts like a rune of ancient magic, imbued with power that shields the bearer from the icy temperatures outside the guild hall and allows the bearer to summon the power of the phoenix and transport instantly to the guild hall, disappearing and reappearing in a flash of fire.
Guild Color
The guild color is a dark gold, evocative of a sunset. When activated, a member’s guild mark will shine this color, regardless of what color the member chooses upon initiation.

Lesser demons trick or beguile humans, offering them power in exchange for servitude. After spending years fighting his own personal war against demonkind, Kenzo decided to form a guild of his own to attract others of a similar mindset and aid him in his crusade.
Goals
- To Bring Light: The overall goal of Light Bringer is very simple - to do as the name says and bring light to the people of Fiore. Members are charged to do as they see fit to accomplish this goal, as long as they follow one central principle - to protect those who cannot protect themselves. By doing so, they push back the darkness the demons and their followers bring, and spread hope and peace across the nation of Fiore. This is what it means to ‘bring light’.
- Hunt Demons: The main way for Light Bringer to achieve it’s purpose is to take action directly against demons and demonkind. Even those who follow demons must be purged.
- Heal People: Too many people have been hurt by demons and those that follow them. While combat is the most exciting way to bring light to the people of Fiore, aiding the people directly by healing wounds, donating money and otherwise providing support.
- Take Down Dark Guilds: Of course, demons aren’t the only ones to cause destruction and misery around Fiore. Those guilds that disdain the law and follow dark powers must also be eradicated.
- Gain Power: Demons are powerful, able to wreak havoc with minimal effort. Those that would seek to combat them should strive for ever greater power, with which to better challenge demons and bring them down.
- Seek Out Good Demons: Kenzo knows from personal experience that not every demon is pure evil. Like with humans, there exist those that are evil and those that are good, and those that are in between. Those demons that turn their back on the rest of their kind should be recruited or allied with, and those that walk the line should be sought out and persuaded to walk in the light.
Roles
Members of Light Bringer follow three general paths - seeking out demon and dark guild activity in the land of Fiore, hunting and slaying said demons or dark guilds, and providing aid to the people of the nation who have been harmed or wronged by demonkind and their followers.
- Those belonging to the first path, or branch, are known as Seekers. They are responsible for going out into the world and reporting on potential demon or dark guild activity. These reports are disseminated by the Ace in charge of the branch, known as the Eye of the Light. The Seekers are similar to spies or special forces operatives, working mainly in secret to gather information.
- The second branch, known as Archknights, are dispatched by the Eye to combat the demons or dark guild members and either slay or banish them. The Archknights are commanded and led in the field by the Ace known as the Hand of the Light. The Archknights are the front-line fighters, well-armed and well-equipped to do battle.
- Then comes the third branch, known as Clerics and headed by the Voice of the Light, who assist the citizens. The Voice manages both internal and external affairs, serving the same purpose as a Human Resources or Public Relations manager in other organizations. The Voice’s Clerics serve both as ambassadors for the guild and the non-combatant branch of the guild.
