Proud of his magical ability as it is rather rare where it comes from he goes out of his way to always learn more about magic, both his own and others. With wide-eyed fascination, he is always impressed by what magic can do, given that till recently he wasn’t exposed to many mages. While not necessarily naive he does try to give others the benefit of the doubt, though once his trust is broken it is rather hard to fix.

Helping people - Hearing stories of heroes often definitely affected him. Even during the strict expectations of his parents he often went out of his way to help others in need with a smile on his face. Now that he is a free man he can’t turn away someone in need, though he doesn’t often go looking for people to help.

Chicken - Due to his father's dislike of the bird it was often avoided for meals at home. Its rarity caused Remi to acquire a taste for it and goes out the way to try the bird cooked in as many ways as he can.

Music - Given his wealthy status growing up Remi was expected to learn how to play many instruments, in an effort to show him off and build family prestige. Despite not choosing it Remi found a love of the music of all kinds and plays the piano and sings rather well.

Arranged marriages - Due to his own that he is running from Remi has a strict dislike of the practice. Will often go out of his way to help those stuck in one unwilling, not caring for the repercussions.
