The crowd were completely in the palm of her hand and as the purple haired maid continued to sing, Armina could not help but smile. It was so rare that she got the chance to do anything like this and she had jumped at the opportunity to have a go at the karaoke. She did not even know the words but was such a quick learner that she had picked them up easy enough and by now, they came to her as easily as breathing. Everyone listening seemed to be singing along with her and it truly was a wonder to watch for the witch, watching the activity from afar, a smile crossing her features too.
It had some time since she and her maid had the chance to go out and enjoy themselves, with Medeia having unexpectedly been granted the rank of Ace within the guild. At first, the witch had been uncertain as to whether it was a role that she truly wanted but having given it great deal of thought, she had decided to accept the offer. When she considered it fully, she had come to realise that she had already been heading into a position of authority anyway. She had been a member for far longer than she would have thought by now and given her success when it came to training other mages, it seemed like a logical next step for her. It was certainly nice to be appreciated and the angel was looking forward to grasping her role, among other things, with both hands.
Finally, Armina’s final song came to an end and with a wave and a bow, her maid would leave the stage and straight for Medeia, her cheeks red from all of the attention, smiling from ear to ear.
“I hope that I did not leave you waiting too long, Mistress,” the purple haired woman said happily, “They were adamant that I sing one more song for them.”
“There is no need to be sorry,” replied the witch, “You performed beautifully, my dear and I am glad that you enjoyed yourself. I just hope that none of those rowdy fools did not try to take advantage.”
“I felt one hand on me as I climbed down but believe me, he is not going to be using that limb for a while. I made sure of that.”
A chuckle escaped the pair as they took a moment to simply stare at the lovely decorated festival that surrounded them. Both angels were versed in the traditions of the event although their views on it were slightly skewed. Still, it was a chance for them to be together and that was more than enough to get them to visit, Medeia especially. She had not admitted it openly but the angel had felt a sense of loneliness recently. Yes, she had moved on from Jen and now viewed the blonde with the contempt that she deserved but that did not help ease the void that was left behind. She had come to appreciate the benefits of being in a long term relationship and Medeia had to admit that she was missing them immensely.
“Oh, Mistress!” Armina suddenly uttered gleefully, motioning above the pair.
Looking up, Medeia would find mistletoe hung against the wall of the building above them and a smile crossed her features as her gaze returned to her maid. Gently, the witch would beckon her maid towards her and without any hesitation at all, the pair would wrap their arms around each other and share a deep kiss. The tradition may have only been for a short kiss but there was no chance whatsoever of that happening here. The lips of the two remained firmly pressed against each other for what might seem like an age, both happily giving in to their affection for one another. They had been together for so long, both among the heavens and the earth and by now, they were almost two parts of the same being. Closer than friends, closer than lovers. They would always be together, no matter what happened.
