DOCTOR'S VISIT (PRIVATE, FAUSTEIN KUROYAKUSHIXTERESA SINCLAIR)

Teresa:

It had been a while since Teresa had send the request for an appointment with the famous Faustein. The silver eyed woman had not been that long in Fiore, but the doctors name had even reached her ears. According to the rumors though the doctor was not only unorthodox, but also famous for getting results. At least to the rumors she had decided to accept. Of course there were dozens of other, more shady rumors who spoke of a more infamous doctor, but she had decided to ignore those.

To be fair, it was a more random occurrence that she decided to check out with the good doctor. Ever since she had noticed her condition, she had been trying to find out the reason for it and how to cure it. After a few centuries she had stopped trying so hard and had begun to accept it. However to support the idea she had not actually given up, she went to a random doctor once in a while.

Teresa’s hair swayed gently behind her as a golden blond waterfall as she walked through the door into the doctors office. Casually she moved her right hand down and plucked the magical flask from her hip. In a single fluent, well practiced move, she twisted it open and took a big sip. The deep delicious fragrance of the liquid swilled through her mouth, tingling her taste buds and soon sliding down, warming her up as it went down. “Hello. My name is Teresa and I received a card my appointment is today” She said with a slight smile as she licked her lips. She had recently discovered this liquid called whiskey and she really enjoyed the deep flavor.

It took her a moment to assess the situation. It quickly became obvious that the guy in the swiveling chair was most likely the doctor. The lab coat was a dead give away and the glasses were cute in a way. The way he was petting the two girls was a bit weird, but to be fair, Teresa had seen too much in her life to be surprised by that. However the two were giving her a weird vibe.

She tilted her head slightly as she looked at the two girls for a moment, trying to sense the magical vibe they were giving up. It was subtle, but definitely not human. As her head was tilted to the side the lifted the strap that held her claymore and casually lifted the hundred and thirty pound light sword as if it was nothing. “Any place I can put this? I can recommend something sturdy.” She said as she held the sword out in front of her, causing a vein to pulsate softly along her arm. “Anyway are you doctor Faustein?” She asked as she waited to either be instructed where to put the sword or be relieved of it.

Teresa simply nodded, but perhaps she was caught off guard slightly as most of her attention was on the two strange creatures. To say the silver eyed witch was extremely good at sensing energy was an understatement. OF course she had a long time to practice it and frankly at this point it had become mostly a hobby. So to find two wonderful creatures she could not easily identify was a rare treat. Of course there was a trace of familiarity about it and it was just on the tip of her tongue what the small one was.

Before she could continue though, she suddenly felt the pull of magic. In a split second her mind caught up with the information it had stored and she actually listened to what the good doctor was doing. She did not recognize the magic as such, but she had similar and she could feel the pull of his magic already.

“OHHH SSHI-” She exclaimed loudly as the sword vanished from her stretched out hand. Sadly she had been distracted and was too late with disconnecting her own magic, which allowed her to always teleport to her sword. Normally letting go was not a problem, but when crossed with another teleportation magic, a fail safe kicked in and either teleported the sword back to her hand. Or in case she was not paying attention and the casters magic was stronger then her casual concentration, she found herself being teleported to her sword. “IITTTEEEEEE” Could suddenly be heard, albeit a bit muffled, from the storage closet.

What followed was a lot of cursing, enough to fill a swear jar in a single go, followed by stumbling and Teresa eventually crawling out of the storage area. “You are a succubus!!!” Was the first thing she did, as she crawled out on all fours, extending her finger and pointing.

“My apologies doctor. Please forgive me.” She said as she blushed slightly and sat down. Now this was always the issue with doctors… she never knew truly how to approach them. On one hand their intelligence appealed to her, but the cold stethoscope put her off. This one seemed to be a bit different though and she had the feeling he was a lot more intelligent than one could possibly imagine. The rumors were good as well, yet she was not willing to believe on rumor. So instead she would do what she would always do to test a doctor.

With a snap of her finger, she vanished in a cloud of white smoke and reappeared completely naked, except for a small silver bracelet on her arm. Her requip magic simply worked like that. Mass and materials did not matter, but she had to exchange something for something. The bracelet was the smallest she had been able to incorporate in her magic. Attempts to limit it to something as small as an earring had failed.

“Okay doctor, I am ready for my consultation. If you can guess why I am here, I will give you all the details and I promise you, you might find it intriguing.” She said with a devious grin as she watched his reaction carefully. “Just one hint and warning: no counting rings my dear doctor.” She said a bit cryptic, before placing her hands neutrally in her lap and surrendered herself to the good graces of the doctor and his examination.

Teresa barely noticed the man had not reacted to her, as it was kind of what she had expected. She had met many doctors and all the good ones had not reacted to her body. At least not to her mere body. Something that was only to be expected in a profession where you had to look at naked bodies all day. It would have been more shocking if he actually had responded.

In a way Teresa had the same problem. She had seen so many bodies naked, the thrill of it was kind of gone. Not in the sensual way though -albeit that was not a minor number either- a, long, long time ago she had been the second wife to some sultan in the far east. For some reason it had been her job to shop for slaves. For the love of something, she could not remember whether the job was dumped on her or she fought for it. In any case it had been her job to ‘scout’ all the new meat, most of the time quite literally. She understood why the doctor had not responded. In a way it was more intriguing that the succubus did not respond. The silver eyed witch had met a few succubus in her time and heard even more about them, but this one did not act like anything she had come to expect.

Regardless her attention was soon drawn upon the doctor again anyway. She simply nodded to his enquiry why she was here and for ten minutes barely moved as he was waving some kind of magical device all around her. It was easy to ignore and at the very least he was being thorough.

It was as she had come to expect though. Due to her condition her body was almost always in immaculate state. It was what all the doctors had found. Well those she had not visited after having been in combat… or recently poisoned. Eventually her body usually sorted itself out, but it tended to take it’s sweet time.

“I am glad to hear that and I am pleased you are taking this seriously.” She said gracefully as she erected herself again. She was almost ready to get up and thank the good doctor, when suddenly the doctor announced a second round of tests.

[color:6668=redOkaayyyy… that is new. She thought to herself as she relaxed again and shifted her weight around to make herself comfortable again. As mr. Faustein investigated her for a very long time, one of her cheeks almost feel asleep and she had to shift a few times to avoid the annoying pins and needles that always followed. He was doing some of the stuff she was familiar with, trying to blind her with a light, checking if her neck vertebrae were working by jerking her chin. She was about done with the entire charade, when suddenly he began talking again.

What he said though astonished her thoroughyl. Thirtheen hundred and sixty four years, nine hundred thirty one doctors and this guy was the first to guess the problem. Even without hints.

“I see your reputation is more then deserved, mis- doctor Faust.” She said with slightly trembling eyes as she snapped her fingers and reequipped back into her normal body suit. It was not that she minded being naked, but if she had to be, she preferred it in a place were it wasn’t so cold. It felt as if her nipples could cut glass at this moment. Plus she really missed the magical flask that came equipped at her hip with that outfit. “You are correct. I am effectively immortal, at the very least biologically. Are you familiar with the forms of immortality?” She asked as she reached for the flask that was now bound to her hip again and lifted it, unscrewing the cap in a single practiced motion. “I definetely have longevity, I am over a thousand years old. Also definitely regeneration, yet possibly also not regeneration. I have never dared cut of my head to try confirm that theory.” She said calmly as she took a big sip of the flask, filling her mouth with delicious raspberry schnapps.

“I am pretty sure it is neither parasitic or undead though.” She said after having savored the liquor for a moment, before swallowing it. As she continued she held out the flask to the god doctor to offer him some as well, in case he could use a drink. “I am very doubtful it could be reliant. I have traveled all over the world and got stuck in the nether dimensions for a few years, without change. Of course the last two are ridiculous, godhood and complete immortality.” She finished as she pulled out a cigarette from her breast pocket.

In a way it was ridiculous. Technically she was incapable of getting physically addicted to substances. Her body renewed itself completely over the duration of three days. Yet she still got all the symptoms of addiction if she did not smoke or drink for a while.

“In any case I am wondering if you would like to try and find out together what could cause this.” She said dead serious as she sat down in the chair again, cigarette in one hand, the flask in the other and gently crossing her leg to get even more comfortable. “If such a thing interests you of course doctor, I would not dare to presume immortality would be of interest to you.” She finished with a faint smile.

Teresa simply watched in silence as Faustein sat in front of her in silence, obviously thinking deeply about the subject. Well either that or he was deep asleep, but she disregarded that option for now. If he still had not moved in a few hours or started snoring though, she was flexible enough to adjust her stance on the matter and prepared to wake him up. For now though she simply smoked her cigarette and watched him. Patience was one of the benefits of age. She was not in a rush to get anywhere. Although it had taken her the better part of six centuries to learn that lesson.

Another lesson she had learned to some degree was control of her facial features in the circumstances of unexpected and/or critical information. Or in other words: she developed a rather impressive poker face.

So when the good doctor finally opened his eyes, the information about him being immortal, did nothing more then cause her to raise her right eyebrow ever so slightly. “Ah I see… well I guess that is quit useful.” She said calmly as she tapped on the cigarette to get rid of the excess ashes forming at the tip. “That is an interesting train of thought.” She replied as she inhaled deeply. The fact that the cigarette lit up a bit more intense and longer then before, was the only evidence how greatly the new information had actually shook her up.

Of course she had met other immortals, once you live long enough, it is statistically only a matter of time before you do. Still it was rare enough and she never met an immortal in the medical profession.

To be air though in the realm of true immortals she was only a baby. She had met beings who had spanned the eons, perhaps even been there since the beginning of time. Generally though it seemed the older you got, the more irregular you got. She had met beings who were millions of years old, who had not moved in thousands of years. Something about a lack of motivation after a while, since they did not die from hunger, thirst, oxygen deprivation. On the other hands for beings like sentient rocks, it did not seem to disturb them much. Of course they had no desires to begin with, except to grow a good patch of moss.

In any case, Teresa blinked a few times rather long, trying to focus her mind back on the doctor. “Well I would be lying if the thought had never crossed my mind, but I never explored it.” She admitted honestly as she pushed the remaining stump of her cigarette into the ash tray, to squeeze the last bit of life out of it.

Teresa did not mind a few experiments. She was the one that came to the doctor in the first place after all. Nonetheless she was none to keen about being called neither experimental, nor specimen. Still since the doctor was offering to help, she was willing to ignore it for now. “Well at the moment I have nothing really planned for the next three years or something. So I am all yours I guess.” She said as she shrugged her shoulders and smiled at the doctor. She would also have been fine with waiting a while, since time was not important. However she sometimes tried to remind herself that a bit of a hurry or being in a rush was part of the human existence. Something she at least mostly still valued at this time. “Oh and I would ask you to refrain from hurting me on purpose or putting me in a glass jar. Even if it has air holes and good food, it is not an experience I would prefer to repeat.” She said firmly, although there was a little twinkle in her eyes and a small smirk playing around the corners of her mouth, just to keep the doctor guessing whether she was truthful or not.
