Lineage Name: Curse Of The Serpent-Wolf
Wielder: Kieth J. Rowland
Purchase Proof: Trade
Description
A demon can afflict a soul through many means. Some make a pact, others invade in a hostile takeover, while others are invited into bodies through ritual and sacrifice. Many different demons provide many different benefits, but the Serpent-Wolf is no more demon than it is angel. Residing in another world, the Serpent-Wolf is not from here, its physical form indescribable in the way that a mind cannot correlate all of its own contents. Much like a demon, however, the Serpent-Wolf hitched its fangs into John's soul in a moment of weakness, granting him special abilities and weaknesses that come with its presence. While technically referred to by the native population of the land it once haunted as a Nayee, or monster, it has no origins from hell but can be categorized as such for all intents and purposes.
Abilities:
• Auspicious Omen: With an otherworldly hitchhiker at his side, John receives an extra 100% Jewels gained per thread. As a 'generous' man, John is capable of cutting his share of the profits by 50% in order to provide an additional 50% to all other participating characters. This benefit does not apply to events and can only be applied to missions. After completing a job, John earns an additional piece of equipment, following the Job Tables for the grade of equipment earned corresponding to the rank of job. Equipment earned this way cannot be sold or refunded to any shop or any other player. Equipment earned this way can, however, be freely traded amongst the player's own characters. (2 Effects)
• Serpent's Eye: John's right eye is shared with the Nayee, allowing it to see through and guide him in his attacks. This shared perception weakens his physical form as the Nayee claws onto his soul. John receives a 50% base increase to, Spell Speed, and Spell damage at the cost of a 50% base decrease to Strength and the inability to receive any buffs to Strength. (2 Effects)
• Dark Whispers: The otherworld whispers to John frequently, telling him secrets and promising him things he wished he had never heard. John receives two additional signature spell slots for one magic that rank with the user up to S. From the depth of this knowledge, they are also granted two advanced spell slots, capping at H+ and S+ respectively. John receives a 50% MP cost reduction. (5 Effects)
• Predatory Hunt: The beast inside hungers for sustenance with every waking minute of John's life. John is granted a character-rank passive buff to Spell Range that scales up to S-Rank (40,45,50,55,60). (1 Effect)

- Plot Abilities:
• Otherworldly Relatives: Due to the Serpent-Wolf's closeness to his spirit, John is capable of telepathically communicating with wolves and snakes. When doing this with a PC character with those aspects, OOC Permission is required.
• Apex Predator: A feral Nayee is really no different to a feral predator. Wildlife are unsettled and flee from John's unmasked presence. When doing this with a PC character with wildlife or animal aspects, OOC Permission is required. John can see in natural darkness.
• Deadeye: With the Nayee seeing through his right eye, John can reveal his Nayee's true form through his iris in order to kill smaller life forms that make eye contact with him. Additionally, he is granted peerless accuracy. This ability cannot be used on humanoid characters at all, and if used on an animal, pet, or summon, requires OOC permission.
• Eternal Hunger: Always hungry and never satiated, John is capable of seeing the souls of living things around him such as animals, people, and summons. Souls of lesser creatures such as insects or bellow cannot be sensed. John can see the souls of living things within his Magical Sensory radius despite cloaking or otherwise stealth. What John can discern from these souls are dependent on his mastery of this ability, from unique aspects to size and strength. OOC Permission is required when this plot effect is used on a PC character.
• Dark Whispers: The whispers do not only come to John. The Nayee's observations and clairvoyant taunts can be heard by both him and selectively whispered to those that have been around him long enough. As a consumer of souls, the Serpent-Wolf is capable of knowing all of a souls contents and what they have amounted to, but rarely portrays this information to anybody in any sort of usefulness outside of insulting mockery and taunting truths. OOC Permission is required when this plot effect is used on a PC character, and said permission also involves them deciding what information the Nayee can reveal and to what depth.
