Teresa's Sinclair Graduation Ceremony

“Hey, you busy?” The Ace stopped Teresa seemingly at random in the hallway outside the labs. She was dressed in her engineering tracksuit, one glove pulled off and tucked beneath her arm and holding onto a job slip. There was a light film of grime on her face save for circular spots around her eyes where her goggles had been resting before, now set upon her head and keeping her lavender hair pulled back from her face. “You’re Teresa, right? Don’t think we’ve met yet. I’m Mercury, head of the Scholar branch. Sorry to throw this on you suddenly, but I need a hand with something and you’re the first person I saw. Lucky you!”

She smirked a bit, her emerald eyes twinkling with mirth and mischief, then offered the newer recruit the paper in her hand. “I just got notified of an emergency request, and unfortunately the project I’m working on is a bit tedious and not something I can really break away from. There’s a middle school over in Oshibana that is having a technical problem that they’ve requested Silver Wolf’s immediate assistance with. Seems a student brought in a family heirloom of some kind for show and tell, and there’s been a little more showing than the kid bargained for. Sounds like the heirloom had some magical properties to it that the family wasn’t aware of. Kid accidentally triggered it, and now it won’t stop spitting goats out for some reason.”

The grin on Mercury’s face was more than enough evidence to suggest how hilarious she thought the situation was. It was such a random situation that she couldn’t help but be greatly amused by it. “No one’s been seriously hurt, and this ain’t very life threatening. In fact, most of the kids seem pretty happy with all the goats running around. But goats are assholes, and I guess they’ve been tearing the school grounds apart and picking on some of the smaller students. No one over there has been able to figure out how to deactivate the thing, so it sounds like there’s a few hundred goats wreaking havoc and being a nuisance, and that number keeps growing by the minute. So, they’ve reached out to Silver Wolf to see if we can lend a hand. Would you mind popping over for me? See if you can identify what’s happening and try to stop it if you can, preferably before the principle pulls out what little hair he has left.”
