Yoruen was enjoying the rushing of wind in his face as he soared through the air, his wings of wind extended to his side. They were triangular and clean-cut, resembling the wings of a fighter jet. He was coming from Hargeon’s direction, after completing a mission to bust the illegal activities of some treasure hunters. He had always liked such missions, to do some good and perhaps in the chaos, nick some goods for himself. But whatever he took didn’t have to the most expensive of the bunch. It would always be something that he found interesting or odd and could even be completely useless and of no value.
Yoruen estimated that the had cut short the travel time by half with flight, but what he hadn’t counted on was his own Magic Power. The flight from Hargeon to Magnolia had looked easy and he thought he could handle it as long as he paced out the usage of his Magic Power, but at his level, the chances of him crashlanding on the ground was getting higher and higher.
He let out a sigh as he angled himself downward, dropping towards the ground in a controlled dive and when he was finally within jumping height, Yoruen released his spell and dropped to the ground, bending his knees slightly to absorb the impact.
“Simple as that,” the grinning youth said to no one in particular before resuming his journey on foot. The entrance of Magnolia was already within sight, so it was a considerably short distance to cover as he trudged onwards to the town. His goal here in Magnolia Town was simple. He was going to make Fairy Tail, the leading guild of Magnolia to acknowledge his strength and join the guild.
He was no stranger to joining a guild, having been in two others previously. Despite his excellent track record of completing missions, Yoruen had still been kicked out of both guilds for reasons he couldn’t understand.
“’Bad attitude’. What’s up with that? If anyone has a bad attitude, it’s them for kicking out their most contributing member,” Yoruen complained under his breath to himself.
And there he was. The opulent castle that served as the landmark of the town, the ‘royalty’ of Magnolia. Yoruen’s eyes landed on the flag bearing the Fairy Tail logo on the third floor of the building. He smirked as he took in the sight of the whole castle, right hand on his waist while his left hand gripped the handle of his sword poking out from behind his waist.
“They say third’s time the charm. I hope they are right,” Yoruen remarked before letting out a huge sigh of relief. “Or I will cut ‘they’ down.”
Pushing the main gates open, Yoruen took his first step into the guild that he was going to join. Two counters sat on either side of the hall when he entered the building. On the left, a long bar table with high chairs, the liquid in the rainbow-like assortment of bottles tempting him to take a seat and order something that the bartender would recommend. On the right was probably the place the guild members could take up new jobs. Yoruen’s curiosity got the better of him as he walked towards the holographic screens that held the information of the various jobs.
He nodded his head appreciatively as he took a look at a few of them, the variety and breadth of the available jobs certainly firing him up.
But first things first. He had to join the guild as a member.
“Hey, you,” Yoruen called to one of the younger bartenders, knocking his knuckles rather loudly on the smooth surface of the table before wiggling his index finger for him to come over. “Make me something to drink. Something flavorful but not sweet. Something that kicks but not coarse. Also, you know how I can meet the Guild Master?”
