"I look to you, like a red rose
Chasing the sun no matter where it goes
I long to stay, where the light dwells
To guard against the cold that I know so well..."
Name: Rune Felcrest.
Gender: Male.
Age: Eighteen.
Birthday: November 5th.
Sexuality: Gay.
Special Characteristics: None, yet to note.
Personality:
Rune is the type of person who puts others before himself. Selfless and compassionate, he is a shining example of the "heroic" archetype, that he so desperately wants to be. A knight, that protects all. He is young, however, and thus prone to youthful naivety - believing wholeheartedly in the best of people. His view on the world is severely clear cut, seeing the world in "black and white". To him, there's good and there's evil, and the mere mention of other shades of gray will surely confound him.
Like most young men his age, he's weak to headstrong behavior. While he can relatively keep a cool head, his temper flares when faced with differing personalities and egos. Raised as a noble has also made him quite egotistical and stubborn - his thoughts are often rigid and unbending to others' points of view. This arrogance often leads to confrontations he could have easily avoided if he let his pride die on the wayside.
In combat, he attempts to keep a keen mind and a clear head. He plans out his tactics within seconds and makes what he believes to be the best decision. Raised by a somewhat cold and calculating father has caused him to develop a fear of failure, which often combines with his issues of second-guessing and indecisiveness. When put in a periling situation there are times Rune's rock-solid confidence in himself will crumble and give way to sloppy mistakes and easily readable maneuvers.
These amateurish mistakes are one of the reasons why he's not yet a proper leader. In fact, he feels far more comfortable taking orders than issuing them. As he's not quite so sure in his ability to lead others in a fight, he is the best at tactics and strategy instead of being in the thick of it like many others. While his intelligence is wholly respected, his lack of courage and self-confidence is what holds him back from his full potential.
Perhaps in time, with proper experience, Rune will be a leader worth praising. But that time is not now.

- His Sister: His dear little sister, Freya. One whom he loves and cherishes with all his heart. Who he would gladly die for if he meant she was safe. After their mother passed away and their father grew distant, Freya is all he has left. For her, he'd give anything to see her happy and smiling - even if it meant his own happiness was forfeit.
- Nature: As a child, Rune was always one who enjoyed exploring. Going on whimsical adventures with his sister into the nearby woods. Or camping under the stars with his - at the time - kinder father. Even if he was raised a noble, he has never shut away - and he still greatly enjoys the freedom and beauty that Earthland holds.
- Cooking: If there's one thing Rune could say he's proud he's picked up, it's cooking. What started at just simply watching his mother make dinner, turned into a quality skill that he and his sister depended on. He has a natural talent for turning the drabbest foods into something exquisite. It's often jested by the house's staff that if the life of a Rune Knight doesn't pan out, then Rune should open up a restaurant!
Likes:
- Failure: Trained and raised by a very strict and cruel father figure, Rune learned quickly that failure was not an option. It was drilled into him at a young age that failure is only due to one's own incompetence. Not wanting to be weak in his father's eyes has given him a complex and a huge chip on his shoulder. If one constantly fails than they will never learn from their mistakes. In his mind, he'd rather die than show such utter weakness. It's that ingrained into his psyche.
- Violence: Or "violence for the sake of violence". Senseless cruelty is something that Rune has always abhorred. To kill without a purpose makes you no better than a savage beast that needs to be put down in his mind. Wanton destruction only brings ruin - and in order to protect others, he must keep the world from falling into chaos by excising the roots of evil that infest the world.
- Cats: There's no grand reason for why Rune hates cats. He just does. He dealt with a particularly nasty one as a child and forever held a grudge. That's all.
Dislikes:
- Chivalry: Some may argue that "chivalry is dead." But Rune would like to disagree. He truly believes in the age-old tradition of knighthood, honor, kindness, and doing good solely for the sake of it. He feels that it's his duty as a Rune Knight and Big Brother to set an example and be there for others. From the rich to the poor, to the working class - Rune believes that it's his mission in life to help others.
- Self-Improvement: A more selfish reason, but no less important. Rune looks to better improve himself as a mage, warrior, and a person. He abhors weakness and will do whatever it takes in order to improve himself in some manner - whether it be physically, mentally, or even emotionally.
- Love: Despite all of his gusto, ego, and other superfluous reasoning - Rune is truly just a sad, weak, child who wants to admiration and respect of his father. It may be petty of him, but it's one thing he wishes above all. The love of a distant and bitter parent. And maybe, once that's achieved - he will find it in himself to find the love of another person in the romantic sense. In the end, may it be familial, platonic, or romantic, love is an emotion that drives him. Whether he realizes it or not.
Motivations:
- Death: Not his own death, but the fear of losing those dear to him to Death's cold embrace. Having lost his mother and seeing first hand the sorrow and misery that losing loved ones can bring - Rune has a distinct fear of losing those whom he cherishes.
- Failure: Not only a dislike but a fear as well. To sum it up, he fears failure almost as much as he fears the death of loved ones. Simply for the fact that failure often leads to death in his line of work. The inability to act when needed is near crippling for him, to the point he developed a deep complex from it.
- Dismemberment: Losing a part of his body is an immense fear of his. Without an arm how will he wield a blade? Without a leg how will he run to help? Even losing an eye or an ear is tantamount to ruin for him. To be disfigured will only make him a liability - something Rune cannot, and will not stand for.
