Hargeon Town, huh? A town by the ocean. A place that Alia would normally avoid due to how close it was to the large body of cold liquid death. Or at the very least would have done whatever she was supposed to do and get out of there at the speed of a bolt of lightning. That night she was doing the very opposite. Chances were she forgot all about the ocean waves that were nearby. Hell, she had already forgotten why she was there in the first place. Was it just somewhere she was passing through? Was it a job for some random clueless stranger that couldn't be bothered to do it themselves? Or was it some dumb errand for her might as well be adoptive brother and father? The answer was in her mind somewhere. Far far back somewhere covered in fog and currently inaccessible. Not that she cared. She was having too much fun to care or even try to get her brain on track to focus on more important matters.
What could have allowed that blonde bimbo to get distracted, toss everything aside, and even forget her own fear of the ocean? Why, a party of course! Not just any normal boring old fashioned party either! It was one of many spread throughout the towns and cities of Fiore. Urban Nights they called it. Ha! They could have done better with the name! She had almost avoided it altogether because it sounded lame and so didn't go into the fact it would be as wild and crazy as it was. The music, the neon lights, the graffiti paint, the dancing! Now that was a more interesting party than some of those eye rolling events she had heard about. Aliarey had lost herself almost immediately the moment she encountered the party area. The music had called her there like a siren's song and now she was stuck there, unable to leave. Her mind and body wouldn't allow it. There was so much to do! And maybe she had one too many drinks already that added to the foggy mind.
In the area where the paint drumming was set up was where Alia currently was. She was wearing her usual outfit, but the white jacket was gone. Probably tossed off and got lost somewhere by that point. Another change was that she was covered in many of splotches of neon glowing paint. An expected result of banging on drums that were covered in the stuff. It was something she would yell at herself for later, but for now it was the best thing ever. As she drummed with the beats of the music, the paint went flying. Some people might have called it some abstract art as the paint flew. Psh. She wasn't trying to create art! She was just hitting that drum as fast and hard as possible. Well, maybe not as possible. The things would break if she tried that. But, the point remained. She was just up there pretending that she knew what she was doing. How people thought she was so great at it that it required cheering was beyond her. They must have been completely drunk. Well, their stupidity worked in everyone's favor. If they had booed her she would have probably started a fight. Where they were shot. Or burned. Or electrocuted. The possibilities were... well not endless but there was a variety of options.
Of course, there was a matter of her not letting anyone else have a turn. They had stamped her hand with one of those smiley face stamps while telling her that she had done a terrific job. They had assumed that she would walk off the stage area and join the crowd to watch others or go party elsewhere. They were wrong. There were other drums! They could go use those! She was apparently a pretty damn good drummer so she deserved to be up there as long as she wanted! Unknown to her at that moment was that she would see a semi-familiar face at the party as well. Heck yes! A new distraction!

Re: ♫Dance to the Music♫
-Hargeon Town-
Wearing a purple long-sleeved shirt, black skirt, and black thigh-high stockings with black-and-white tennis shoes, Diana made her way into Hargeon Town for the Urban Nights party. After the adventure with Cassandra in the temple in Haunted Village, the huntress wanted to slow down for a day before she returned to Fulci on behalf of Mister Burke. What better way to slow down than to go to a party sponsored and organized by the Magic Council?
There was rainbow-colored graffiti of the event's name sprayed on walls all over the town. There were numerous DJs playing electronic and dubstep music everywhere she turned. People were in colorful outfits that were either rave or cyberpunk-themed.
Her late mother Elizabeth would have denounced this party as being "low-class" and the music played here would have been decried as being "lowbrow." Diana could care less about what Elizabeth thought. Her mother was the daughter of an upper-class family who married the son of another upper-class family. Elizabeth's worldview was shaped by her upbringing, where the only music a "proper lady" listened to was either classical music or opera music.
When Diana was a child she had taken a liking to classical music thanks to her oldest sister Lucia, who had mastered the piano and had taught Diana to play. Her other musically talented sister Melody was possessive of "her" specialty and refused to teach Diana anything, but Lucia was kind enough to teach her to play Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, Mozart's Rondo Alla Turca, and other "greatest hits" from a faraway land. Elizabeth had forbidden anything but classical music and opera music in the Winchester household, but Diana had kept an open mind and learned to like some modern music, mostly the music produced by Sakura Kisagami and Tuesday Blue.
Diana found the festive atmosphere to be pleasant enough and walked towards the sound of drumming to see what it was about. She patiently worked her way through the crowd and eventually reached the source of the drumming. Diana looked towards the stage and saw a familiar face pounding on the drums.
The person was a long-haired blonde with blue eyes, a white shirt, a black skirt with black thigh-high stockings, and white shoes. Diana looked closer and recognized the person. It was Aliarey Casaday, the blonde mage she had met in Haunted Village to harvest a pumpkin with. The pair had ended up fighting all manner of enemies alongside a Rune Knight named Hania and together the trio had triumphed and secured a pumpkin worthy of harvesting.
Diana made her way up to the stage to play the drums herself and paused when she noticed Aliarey's paint-stained outfit. Neon paint was all over it and that gave the huntress pause. She then looked at the drums and saw that they were coated in paint.
Diana was not going to like this, but she wanted to try her hand at the drums. The only instruments her mother allowed in the Winchester home were the piano, harpsichord, violin, clarinet, and the cello. Drums were expressly forbidden because she considered them to be a "coarse" instrument that proper ladies did not play. This was a good way to give her late mother the proverbial middle finger... Diana just hated that she was going to get paint on her good casual clothes.
Diana made her way to the drum set, picked up a pair of drumsticks, and started playing the drums next to Aliarey, who was pounding on them like her life depended on it. In contrast to the other blonde, Diana started off slowly and tested the drums to see which ones she liked. She tapped out a rudimentary beat to start with, tapping a slow and steady beat on hi-hats and met with some applause. The audience must have been intoxicated, which was good for her.
Once she had found the drums she wanted to play, Diana began to tap on the lower drums with the right drumstick while hitting the hi-hat with her left drumstick. Again she was being applauded. About two minutes into the drumming she increased the tempo and started drumming faster while keeping time with the hi-hat. It was a very basic drum routine she had going on, but she was covered in blue and green neon paint and her skin was crawling from it. The crowd seemed to be digging it, so Diana got a little more ambitious and pounded on the lower drums a little faster until it sounded like a drumroll for an awards show.
She then finished with a single hit on the hi-hat and drew a lot of cheers. Having accomplished her goal and having had all the paint on her clothes that she could handle, Diana set the drumsticks down and left the stage to thunderous applause. Aliarey was still going at it and was in the zone, so Diana left her alone for the time being and stood off to the side to wait for her companion. In the meantime she was approached by a lavender-haired young woman in a purple bodysuit with black pauldrons, gloves, and boots that resembled a set of futuristic armor.
"Not bad, not bad! Here's your stamp for participating!" The young woman said to Diana, stamping the back of the huntress' left hand with a rainbow smiley face.
"Thank you." Diana replied. The young woman nodded, then walked off to resume her duties and Diana waited for Aliarey to quit playing the drums.
This could take awhile.

Re: ♫Dance to the Music♫
Indeed it would take a while. How long had passed was up in the air. Alia wasn't paying attention. All of her focus went to playing those drums and being covered by even more of that glowing neon paint that made her look as if she had gotten beat up by a rainbow. She screamed, getting into the rhythm on the music and the performance as her excitement increased. The real performers sighed hopelessly. They were never going to get her to leave were they? One man in that weird techno get up had approached her. It was one last effort to get the blonde to leave so others could have their turn at the drums... Or so they could get back to their own little performance as well. He had intended to force her away from the drums if she still ignored them or declined on the suggestion. How that was going to be done would be left a mystery.
"Hey, you need to leave now. I'm not asking. You've been up here long enough," the weirdly dressed man spoke to her, overconfidence and pretend authority coated thickly over each syllable.
"Nope! Still got some beats to make here!" Alia responded with a grin. She didn't even bother looking his way as she continued her drumming. If he was someone that could do harm to her she probably would have listened but that wasn't the case. The guy seemed like any other creep or weirdo she had run into in the past. Honestly, she had already considered taking the drums home with her anyway so like hell was she just going to let someone else in her spot.
The man facepalmed at first and then glared at her, clenching his fists and then yelling at her in frustration. "Oh come on! This isn't meant to be for- gahhhh!" The man's outburst came to a halt as the pair of drumsticks Aliarey had been holding hit him in the face. The blonde had tossed them at him as she leapt away from the set of paint drums. There. He could be happy now. "Hold onto those for me!" Aliarey shouted without looking back. "I'll be back!" That line was probably the queue for the party organizers to pack up the drumming stations and hide them before she came back.
What could have caused Alia to leave her drumming zone so suddenly? Why, while she was in the middle of ignoring the dumbass that was trying to get her to leave her cerulean gaze caught sight of someone standing off to the side of the stage. Honestly she should have seen her while she was performing, but Alia wasn't really paying attention. Somehow. That's what happened when someone was in the zone! Regardless of her ignorance as to who was playing beside her only a few moments... well actually a long while ago, Aliarey noticed the other blonde now. She didn't often forget faces. Or so she would like to claim. Either way, the other blonde looked very similar to the one that she had vaguely met at a creepy pumpkin patch full of evil evilness. Truthfully Aliarey didn't recall TOO much about that event. Mostly the memory of freaking out and setting up way too many turrets to eliminate everything was all that came forward when thinking back. That and the people there. One very nosy Rune Knight asking dumb questions as if she were a living breathing directory of people in the country. The other person was the more quieter woman that had now made her second appearance in Alia's life. That was rare.
Aliarey walked in the direction of the recognized woman and raised an arm above her head, waving. "Heeeeyyyy!" She yelled, hoping to somehow overpower the loud music around her. If nothing else maybe the sight of her walking over there would be clue enough to Diana that she was trying to get her attention. If not, well, that was fine too. She'd be over there in a few seconds to make the clue even more apparent. Once she was standing in front of Diana, though still at a comfortable distance, Aliarey stopped and looked Diana up and down. A victorious grin spread across her face. "Ha! I knew it! You are her!" The blue-eyed blonde then frowned and started concentrating, her arms folding across her chest and her gaze going upwards to vaguely signify her thinking process in progress. "Dina? Diah? Dalia? No those aren't it. Uhh..." She scratched her head as if the power of her moving hair would give her brain the ability to pick a name from its memory log that was correct. It didn't work. She remember faces, not names. Unless the individual behind the name had kicked her butt before. Then she made a point to remember it so she would always steer clear from that dangerous person. Alia puffed her cheeks and blew out the air of a defeated sigh. Her gaze fell back downward to inquisitively stare at the other blonde before her. "Yeah, I got nothing. What was your name again? We have met before, right? At that pumpkin patch in Haunted Village? I'm not going crazy from this neon paint, am I?"

Re: ♫Dance to the Music♫
Diana waited patiently for her fellow blonde to finish the drumming activity, but Aliarey did not seem to want to go anywhere. It fell to one of the event staff to give Aliarey a not-so-subtle hint to move on so that the next person could get a chance to play the drums. They did not need to worry about Diana deciding to return for an encore performance. The paint on her clothes made her skin crawl and she did not want to get any more paint on her one good pair of casual clothes than she already had. Still, getting covered in paint was worth it to annoy her late mother with the sight of her ninth and last daughter playing such a "coarse" instrument.
When Aliarey finally left the paint-covered drums behind and spoke to Diana the green-eyed blonde was glad that the other blonde had finally left the drums behind in order to go do something else. Diana was then hit with a series of questions concerning her name and where they had last met, if they had ever met before. Diana remembered Aliarey well from their trip to the pumpkin patch several months ago.
The latter had made extensive use of turret weaponry to destroy their enemies during the trip to the pumpkin patch... perhaps Aliarey had used more turrets than was necessary, but the huntress could not argue with the results. The enemies were all soundly defeated and the pumpkins were secured for harvesting at the leisure of the three mages. While Aliarey might have forgotten the huntress' name, Diana had not forgotten Aliarey's.
Aliarey had rattled off three names that started with D that were somewhat close to the green-eyed blonde's name but did not quite hit the mark. After a few minutes and a lot of thought Aliarey had given up on guessing the green-eyed blonde's name and had said some words to that effect. She admitted defeat and finally asked for Diana's name. Diana was all too happy to give it to her.
"The name is Diana. And we met in the pumpkin patch in Haunted Village several months ago." Diana gave her name and where the pair had met before tonight. That should be all the information that blue-eyed blonde needed to make the connection. Diana omitted her last name for now because Aliarey did not need to know it just yet. A lot of people tended to come and go in Diana's life... why bother getting attached to anyone who would not stick around?

Re: ♫Dance to the Music♫
"Ha! Awesome!" Aliarey was pleased with herself. Things might have been just a tiny bit awkward if she was completely wrong and she had just waltzed up to some random person that was actually a total stranger. Then again technically Diana was a stranger. Just... slightly less of a stranger? Was that how it worked once names were given? Ah, who cares? The blue eyed blonde did not have the spare mental capacity that night, or perhaps ever, to think too hard about that concept. "Well, in case you need a reminder too, you can just call me Alia. Or Aliarey if you're really that technical. Doesn't matter." Anything was better than the "Blonde Bimbo" nickname her past friend Grema Fen had frequently made a habit of calling her way back when. Much like Diana, she didn't bother giving a last name. One, Alia didn't even think to give it. Two, Diana didn't need it. Lastly, also like Diana, Alia didn't see the point in getting too detailed about herself. People come and go all the time and Aliarey herself didn't really like getting attached to anyone. Unknown to the two conversing blondes, they actually had that opinion in common.
The paint that covered the other woman's clothes wasn't missed during her earlier observation. There was only one place Diana could have gotten that from, which must have been the paint drumming area. Alia approved. Maybe behind that passive and quiet skin was secretly some kind of party person. Sweet! Maybe they could hang out a bit before Alia's attention span swerved in a completely different direction and she forgot that someone else was actually there with her. It really depended on how entertained she was. A familiar face was entertaining enough for now due to its rarity, but that only lasted for so long. Alia looked around for a moment until she spotted one of the temporary bar stations that had been set up for a party. Smiling mischievously, she turned back to face Diana while pointing over towards the bar. "So, Diana, want to go get a couple of drinks or something? We can do what the normal people do and chat or catch up or something. Plus I've heard talk about the drinks coming from the bars and they sound totally awesome!" People glowed in the dark, had their hair color change, one drink was on fire, and one even hilariously exploded on people! The first one was always random! Ah, what an exciting way to get served drinks. "It'll be-" A loud screech blasted through the speakers that lined the party area, interrupting not only her sentence, but the party itself. People screamed from the high pitched sound. Many of them covered their ears, Alia included. "What the hell?" Her now angry stare scanned through the party scene to try and figure out where that sound came from. It didn't take long.
There was a quick apology that also came from the speakers, the source being a man that was up on the DJ Booth stage. He smiled nervously and tried again, causing the same screech to blast through the speakers again. The third time he was finally able to not have much screeching going on with the help of the main festival dude that was in charge of that part of the event. It was too late for Aliarey though and she was not impressed with the guy's performance once he had worked that much out. The blonde scoffed in disgust. "Man, do they just let anyone up there? I didn't even know that was a thing! This sound should be a crime against music." Alia rubbed her ears, which still stung from being pierced by the sound of horrible music. If it could be called that. "Yeah so, hold that thought on the drinks." She told Diana as she turned back towards her. "Want to try the DJ booths instead? I don't think I can relax until I get that guy off the stage. I'm pretty sure I'll die if someone else even worse goes up there after him." She could only be grateful that there weren't any karaoke machines scattered around too to add to the offense against music. Did it cross her mind that Diana could be worse than the guy up there now? Well... no... not really. For some reason that was never even a consideration. It probably had something to do with the fact she thought herself as awesome, so that meant everyone she associated with was awesome by default. Yeah, that was good enough logic for that blonde. If Diana declined the suggestion of participating Alia would just shrug her shoulders and accept it. "I'll be back then." Would be all she would say before leaving Diana there so she could take care of the super important task of kicking that guy off the booth. If Diana agreed to participate, Alia would be more happy about it. She jumped into the air joyously with a fist raised above her head. "All right! Now we just need to get through this crowd!" Normally she'd just shoot everything that was in her way, but that was probably a bad call to use deadly weapons in a party scene. So she opted for the next best thing; a water gun.
The toy weapon was called from her storage dimension. She turned it onto the harmless setting since it actually could be used for weaponized purposes as well due to how it was made and had magic integrated into it. Then she went to town blasting everyone that was in her way with blasts of water. In a weird sense, many thought it was part of the party so it caused little disruption. Some that had got blasted might have been annoyed, but they were quickly dismissed as they were laughed at by others. People did get the hint though and many got out of the way to avoid being aimed at with the water gun. They didn't want to get wet. A path was cleared and eventually Aliarey was at the DJ booth area. Just in time too. One of those guys with the weird techno armor had just shouted to the crowd for more volunteers for the DJ event. Hell to the yes. Aliarey rushed past everyone else that had shown interest and forced herself to the front. "I'm volunteering!" If Diana had chosen to come along, Alia would also mention and point at her to tell them that she was also going to participate. Can't have her waiting in line, after all. Alia still wanted those drinks after saving the party! Despite how she, or both of them, got there, the event staff finally figured out that it was just easier to let it slide and let the DJ booth event be taken over by ambitious blondes.
Aliarey took her place at the booth and looked over what she had to work with. It was quite the set up actually. Way more advanced than she would have thought for such a temporary set up. Did every town have one of those? She was sure it was the latest model of some super fancy music gear company. The booth itself, knobs, buttons, and switches glowed with the neon lights of the parts. Some had labels, others didn't. Large speakers were beside her so that she could hear the music clearer and faster than she would from the speakers that were further out for the audience. A pair of headphones were lying on the booth, ready to be taken and used so she could cue in the songs and beats accurately so they would mix well with what was already playing. Oh boy. No wonder people were having trouble if that is what they had to work with. It wasn't exactly a newbie booth. Aliarey cracked her knuckles as she stared at everything and started quickly planning. Ha! Planning. Nothing came to mind except press random buttons and see what happened. At least she knew music even if she hadn't exactly messed around with a fancy booth like the one in front of her. "All right. Here goes nothing. Anything has got to be better than what was playing before. And everyone is near drunk anyway." Alia quietly told herself as she grabbed the headphones and placed them around her neck.
The event organizers made their own lively announcement to shout out the newest volunteer for the music. Aliarey couldn't help but add in her own as well though. "Okay, Hargeon Town! The disaster is over! Lets bring this party back to life!" And then she started to queue in the beats. The tempo was slow at first, but it picked up speed quite rapidly. As she pressed buttons, flipped switches, and turned knobs, other beats, sounds, and even word phrases started to play into the mix. It wasn't bad, and the audience was moving with the beats and sounds. She herself was also moving in rhythm. At some point during it, Alia had found the settings for the lights. As she played around with that, neon lights that were spread around the dance area and floated magically in the air above it activated. The neon light rays switched and changed colors with the beats, and there was even a point where all the lights at the party turned off so that the area was lit by nothing but the glow in the dark paint, the glowing people, and the glowsticks and other accessories. Ha, playing around with all the fancy buttons was great!
She wasn't really certain how many tracks they'd let her play or how long she would be up there. Considering no one was complaining the event organizers just let her keep being up there. If Diana had planned to participate Aliarey would motion for her to come up and either join in on operating the controls or take over completely. It didn't matter. She had her fun and it wasn't like she was letting Billy Bob down there take her spot and ruin the party music again. Either way, she got her little smiley face stamp for her participation.

Re: ♫Dance to the Music♫
"Alia it is." Diana replied laconically after learning that the blue-eyed blonde went by either Aliarey or just Alia. The huntress noticed that Alia also did not give her last name. That was fine with Diana... perhaps Alia felt the same way about people in her life.
When Alia suggested that they go get drinks and talk, the green-eyed blonde was reticent to do so. Alia was good company, but the huntress had long held to sobriety because her parents and siblings had been killed by poisoned wine and she was trying to avoid the same fate. The Shadow Collective would enjoy inflicting an ironic death on Diana and she was doing her best to not give them that opportunity. Aside from concerns about setting herself up to be killed, she was also worried about Alia hearing something that she should not.
Diana had kept her clandestine activities secret to this point and she was not about to compromise them by drinking too much at a public party. However, should she exercise moderation and only drink one drink, she should be OK. Just as long as the one drink was not particularly strong the huntress could continue to keep her secrets under wraps.
"I suppose that we could go for... a... drink..." Diana started to reply in the affirmative before Alia dashed off for the DJ Booth, leaving the green-eyed blonde behind. Diana frowned slightly. She then followed her fellow blonde to the DJ Booth to try and keep up with her excitable companion.
-At the DJ Booth-
Diana had worked her way through some members of the crowd who had gotten soaked by Alia's water gun and did her best to avoid incurring their wrath. Once she got to the stage and carefully climbed the steps she was greeted by an event employee.
"Hey lady! Do you want to work the DJ Booth with you friend?" a bald man in a black t-shirt that spelled Urban Nights in rainbow-colored letters, blue jeans, and brown work boots asked. Diana nodded.
"Yes, please." Diana answered. He waved his right hand like a game show host towards the booth and Diana walked over to the booth, where Alia had already seized a headset and was playing around with the lights and sounds that accompanied the music. Diana calmly took the other headset and carefully draped it around her neck, then looked down at the sound board. It was no bargain-basement setup... a lot of Jewels had gone into this board and she had better not ruin it.
There were so many choices for sounds and lights.
Diana was not sure what to do, but she looked over the sound board and soon found some buttons that looked interesting. She pressed one and the PING of a sonar sweep sounded. Diana was pleased by this. She selected an electronic track to be the main source of sound. It featured a soft recurring hi-hat cymbal sound and a pulsing beat.
She then pressed the sonar button in five-second intervals as she managed to find a light switch that turned the lights deep blue like at DJ Kraken's party in Boomslang. She then managed to locate a bass-heavy dubstep WUB WUB and pressed it. She was pretty sure that the event staff thought that she was inebriated and they were going to haul her off the stage, but to her surprise the event staff stayed where they were. The people in the crowd also seemed to be dancing, but since many of them were drunk they would dance to almost anything.
Diana was not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
She had been handed a gift from whatever deity was watching over her and she was going to use it. She located a button that made hi-hat cymbal noises and tapped it at three-second intervals while increasing the interval at which she pressed the sonar button up to eight seconds. Once she had tired of the hi-hat cymbals she pressed the WUB WUB button and lightened the lights to a pale blue to give the audience the image of surfacing after diving deep into the ocean. She then sounded the sonar noise twice, each time in four-second intervals.
People were getting into it and an audience member even shouted "UNDERSEA LIFE RULES!" They must have mistaken her as the latest addition to the record label that was home to electronic artists DJ Krill, DJ Beluga, and DJ Kraken. Diana sounded one last sonar sweep noise just as her track ended and she set the headphones down to a round of applause. She did not want to overstay her welcome, so she would leave while the audience was applauding her.
"Nice work, miss! Maybe you should work the club circuit and try to get signed by Undersea Life!" The bald man from earlier complimented Diana on making a decent track that would be right at home in Undersea Life. The back of her left hand was stamped with a second rainbow smiley face stamp. Diana thanked the man and walked away from the sound booth, where Alia was still doing her thing.
She opted to wait near the bottom of the steps for her companion.
Again, waiting for Alia to finish the activity could take awhile.

Re: ♫Dance to the Music♫
Surprisingly, it didn't take long for Alia to get off the DJ Booth. She was pretty much done with her run when Diana started to participate. She listened to the other blonde's attempt, which wasn't bad actually. There was success in the mission. The music for the urban nights party had been saved! Life could go on without Aliarey resorting to just blowing up the entire music station to prevent awful tracks from being played. For now. Hopefully other volunteers would play more decently than the guy before Diana and herself.
Done with that activity and choosing to meet back up with her companion, Aliarey walked towards the steps that led down the music station. Once there, she proceeded to hop her way down the few steps that led to the flat ground. She was a happy soul right then. Nothing had gone too terribly wrong all day, and she was quite pleased with the awesome response from the audience towards the performance. Although, of course there would be an awesome response. She was awesome, therefore anything she did was equally as awesome. The only surprise was that Diana was also awesome. Was she to be a rival in amazing awesomeness?! Well, she could worry about that later. They needed to get back to the original plan of getting drinks! Which, Aliarey was a bit clueless towards the hesitation Diana had, had when they were first brought up a while ago.
"Okay, that's taken care of!" Alia proudly told the fellow blonde with a large grin that probably told all too easily just how much she considered their role up there to be of the upmost importance for the enjoyment of everyone at the party. They really should have gotten a reward for their live saving efforts. Personally from the Magic Council. Or lots of jewels. Both was fine too. "Ready to go get those drinks? If we're lucky we might be able to have some chill time before another interruption comes along." Her eyes scanned the area again until she found one of the many temporary bar stations that were scattered around the event area. There were a couple of people already there getting drinks of their own and just hanging out, but there was still some space for Diana and herself. "Looks like there's some space over there where we can take some time to catch up, chat, or whatever it is people do to be considered socialized. The drinks should be free so if they end up being terrible at least we don't have to pay for them." What a silver lining! Although, Aliarey wasn't entirely sure how well of a "chat" the two would have. Diana hadn't said much of anything yet in comparison to her many sentences already spoken since running into her at the party scene. There was only one way to find out though, and she was getting one of those fancy and exciting drinks regardless.
Aliarey began to lead the way to the bar station she had seen, assuming Diana would follow but didn't really check on if she was or not. Her one track mind was set on obtaining the drink. Concerns for a possibly missing companion could be focused on after the drink mission was done, if necessary. "Give me one of those crazy drinks I've been hearing so much about!" Aliarey demanded cheerfully once she had reached the bar. The dude behind the counter, who was wearing the less crazy urban nights uniform apparel, laughed at that. "Crazy? Is that what people are calling them? They just have a bit of magic in them for some fun effects. You won't find them anywhere else after tonight though. They're exclusive to the this event. I suggest trying them all before the night is over."
"Just one for now, please and thank you. I'm under advisement to not get hammered or completely smashed... for reasons." Those reasons being that her sober mind was already questionable when it came to her actions. A drunk one could end up with her in the local prison. Or worse.
"Starting with one then. All right, I'll make one that I haven't done for several minutes so hold up just a minute." The bartender went to work mixing and making the drink. The end result was a very pretty and neat looking drink indeed! It was a luminous green that was super fizzy to the point that it was nearly going over the rim. It had the strange sweet smell of apples. Interesting. It wasn't cherry but apple was okay too. "Behold! The Exploding Maverick Tincture!"
Aliarey had just about to take a sip from it when she stopped herself and stared at the guy curiously and mild concern. "Wait? Did you say explod-" The fizzy drink made a pop sound as it erupted right in her face. The glass shattered as she slammed it down, not out of anger but just as a reaction that had no moderation for her strength when doing the action. Her eyes stung from the liquid, and the burning sensation of the drink having gone up her nose hurt like hell. The bartender gave her some napkins to clean her face off while she was in the middle of trying to recover. The green stain on her clothes would still be there, but it wasn't as if it wasn't already covered in paint anyway. Naturally he was laughing. It was hard to keep a straight face as it was while just making and serving it. That drink never got old. "We're still trying to work out the kinks with that one so it isn't that reactive, but it's still hilarious every time!"
"Hardy har har. Very funny." Alia said sarcastically as she swiped the napkins and began to try and wipe away the fizzy drink that was covering her face. "Why is this stuff so damn sticky?!" The napkins helped very little with the removal of the liquid. She was going to need to straight up stick her face in a pool of water or something to get the stuff off! If Diana ordered a drink hopefully hers wouldn't be as... explosive.

Re: ♫Dance to the Music♫
Diana was surprised by the speed with which Alia had finished her performance at the DJ Booth because it did not take nearly as long for the blue-eyed blonde to leave that as it had the Pain Drumming activity. The huntress was not going to argue, though. Alia asked if Diana was ready to go get the drink and mentioned that they were free, a fact that made the prospect of drinking slightly more appealing since she did not have to pay if the drink was awful.
"I am ready." Diana said laconically, quickly following behind Alia so that she did not lose the latter in the crowd. Alia did not look back to see if Diana was still with her, so the green-eyed blonde would have to find her own way if she got lost. Thankfully she was able to keep pace with Alia without any problems. Eventually the blondes wound up at the bar.
-At the bar-
Diana sidled up to the bar moments after Alia had gotten her own drink. She noticed that the drink list did not have any ingredients listed, only drink names. That was of little concern to the huntress, who got the attention of the bartender.
"I would like a drink, please." Diana requested of the male bartender who was plainly dressed. He nodded.
"Sure thing, miss. I've got something special for you!" He said. He produced a drink glass from under the counter, then got a bright red liquor and poured it into the glass, then added a few other ingredients with practiced ease. He then produced a blowtorch and carefully turned the flame on, then lit the top of the drink on fire before gently sliding the glass towards her.
"Careful, miss. Let the fire burn out before you drink the Ecstasy Haze!" The bartender warned Diana. Diana obliged and let the flaming drink sit almost a full minute until the flames had burned out. Once they were extinguished the huntress picked up the drink and sampled the first alcohol she had had in over a decade.
Raspberry.
The Ecstasy Haze had a pleasant raspberry taste, which was something that the green-eyed blonde appreciated. She had expected a harsh taste but was instead met with a mild and pleasant raspberry taste. Diana carefully drank the rest of the beverage and set the empty glass aside; the bartender collected the empty glass mere seconds later. Diana then turned towards a displeased Alia, who had gotten a different and much messier drink.
"Are you OK?" Diana asked Alia, whose face was covered in green fizz from a drink that was named "Maverick Explosive Tincture." Diana thanked her lucky stars that she had not gotten a similar drink. Alia had grabbed up a bunch of napkins to clean her face off and was clearly unhappy with the drink she had gotten. Diana hoped that the fuming blonde would not call out her turrets to take revenge on the bartender.
"Would you like to go wash your face before we talk?" Diana asked her fellow blonde. The taste of raspberry still lingered on her tongue as she spoke. There was probably raspberry on her breath too. Still, Diana did not mind. She was just glad that the first alcoholic drink that she had had in over a decade was so good.
As sorely tempted as she was to do so, Diana did not go for a second round because she needed to stay sober for the trip home. It was a long way from here to home and she did not need to try and walk the distance while too intoxicated to see straight or defend herself from trouble. She was sure that there were going to be opportunistic bandits waiting for inebriated party-goers to leave the party and travel down the roads. Diana wanted to be sober enough to take out the human refuse if they appeared on the road home.
