URBAN NIGHTS PARTY [FAUSTEIN/KUROFAUSTΩ, TEMPERANCE] [COMPLETE]

It had been some time since Faustein’s last adventure, which was a real thrill ride from beginning to end. He had been asked to create a creature through the use of his mad science techniques with the objective of not only shocking the world, but also making the whole of Elysium proud of his talent. He had been given carte blanche on resources and after a grueling expedition into the literal bowel of a legendary beast known as the “Leviathan”, he had procured a pair of treasures from a lost, legendary island which, interestingly enough, was located in said beast’s bowels. The first of the two treasures he had found happened to be a mysterious crystal orb known as the “Soul of Alkīmiyā” which was emanating a strange but undoubtedly potent energy and the second was a secret, ancient tome called the “Emerald Tablet” or the “Tabula Smaragdina” which held the innermost secrets of the greatest of all the alchemists who had lived on that island.

Faustein had brought both back with him to his lab and after a long period of painstaking work, at the end of that assignment, he had managed to create two chimeric specimens. The first was an interesting fusion of a female archangel and a succubus queen who then turned into an artificial dark angel once he had surgically implanted a piece of the “Soul of Alkīmiyā” inside her body. The second was more mundane, but still somewhat intriguing in nature as it involved him turning a normal human female patient into an artificial dhampir, still female, by transplanting the organs of a certain “Ancient Vampire” which he had captured and killed, but then reanimated and kept alive for the purposes of his research. This specimen had also required surgical implantation of a piece of the “Soul of Alkīmiyā” inside her body before achieving stability.

He had then presented this achievement to the Elysium guild’s leader, a woman named “Janet Cinderfeild”, at which point, she had promoted him from his former mage class of A to his new, current one of S as a reward. Needless to say, this had been a surprise to him, but of course, he had not shown it outwardly. Since then, he had gone back to the usual routine of his profession as a practicing physician-scientist mage and of course, to his ongoing mad science research which had been propelled to new, never before seen heights thanks to his acquisition of those two aforementioned treasures. In this manner, time had marched on till the present moment. A few days prior, one of his female guildmates, namely one named Selina or Temperance as she liked to be called while out in the field had invited him to go with her to a certain wild, rave party which had been gaining momentum over the past several days and weeks. Of course, initially, he had not wanted to go since these types of events were not quite his cup of tea, and also because there was much work to be done in the development of his two new magic systems. However, sadly, he had hit somewhat of a slump in his mad science research and thus, he was forced to step away and take a break from it.

Hmm, maybe this situation does call for a break in activity, at least for the time being.

He mused silently as he readied himself in his casual outfit which he used when he was simply out and about to for some R&R. After that, he headed out to the Rose Garden which was the prearranged rendezvous point for him and Selina before they went to the event. It did not take him very long and soon enough, he arrived and then decided to wait there for her. While waiting, he wondered why she had asked him to go to such an event with her, but he surmised the reason would be revealed soon enough and thus yawned briefly while stretching with a groan, letting his tired, sleep deprived body relax a little.

Appearance:

Selina, or rather Temperance as she was known, loved parties. After being the black-sheep like person in most circles, for a few reasons when she was a kid, she loved to attend them now. That and mature parties were far more fun. She didn't know what to expect here, but she knew when there were going to be nation-wide celebrations happening, how could she not decide to go and crash the party.

So far, Temperance and her close companion and friend Hex, had been busy. Infiltrating palaces, stealing rich goods and artifacts from dirty sleazebags, and plotting heists. With the invitation to this large party, she couldn't help but keep away. Further, she learned that her friend Agil, the owner of the Black Cat Lounge she considered to be her hideout, was helping run it in the city of Rose Garden. The idea of this party was starting to excite her.

Reaching Rose Garden was simple and she choose to go as her 'in disguise' outfit, or "The Fool" outfit for the time being. Dressed in her jeans, vest, and thick glasses. She did love to fool people with it, that and it would keep the pervy party-goers at first glance... most of the time. Clinging to her back was none other than her black Exceed friend Hex, wearing her favorite witch's hat which had her cat-ears poking out from the rim.

With night now cast upon the streets of Rose Garden, the entire street was reserved for the party and it was packed-- with both humans and creatures of varying types. One hell of a mixer.

For the moment, she was looking for someone she knew. Either Agil, or even Faust as she mentioned the party to him. Though as she entered the party, she couldn't help but feel she should also dress a bit more... social than her casual attire. She certainly wasn't winning any contests like that.

"Mreow... so many colors, its hurting my eyes," Hex meowed from behind her, clinging to her shoulder and vest with her claws to stay in place. The cat would look around as the lights, glow-in-the-dark decorations gleamed and magic laser lights illuminated parts of the 'rave'.

"Drink?" a nearby cocktail waitress asked her.

Temperance looked at the variety of it, and soon-- removed her glasses to get rid of the geeky look. "Now this is starting to sound like my kind of party," Temperance said as she took the drink offered.

'Normal Dice' :

Faustein had been waiting for a while when he finally saw Selina and her pet kitty Hex, so he met up with them and then went inside alongside them. Once inside, he let his senses imbibe the psychedelic milieu all around him to the fullest and when a passing waittress offered him and Selina some rather exotic looking drinks by leading them to the bar, of course, being the hedonist he was, he went along for the ride.

My, these do look entertaining, but what are they comprised of?

He mused silently as he examined the drinks menu while also keeping a close eye on the surroundings just in case anyone decided to get a little too rowdy for their own good. He was somewhat hesitant to simply knock back the drinks he saw due to their rather exotic looking nature, but as he saw Selina take one, he figured he should do the same and thus picked one of them from the menu at random, wondering what sort of chemical concoction he was going to get in the drink he had just ordered. The bartender smirked and then started to prepare his drink, so Faustein merely waited for his order.

'Normal Dice' :

Temperance was no stranger to exotic drinks as she took it. The odd fizzy look of the green liquid did make her a bit cautious. She put back on her glasses to get a better look at it, seeing the odd glow-- but that might of been the small glow-stick they put into each drink to make it glow. The auroma of apple was a pleasant experience.

"Oh, hey! It's the pervy doctor!" Hex meowed as she flew upward, sprouting her Exceed wings to fly above the party crowd.

Selina soon saw him from a distance as he too took a drink. She smirked as he drank-- which had a surprising magical effect on him and turned his hair rainbow-colored. While a little nervous, she thought she would give her's a try and took a sip.

BOOOM!

It went off like a bomb in her hands, causing those around her to look surprised. The drink she had caused a poof of green liquid and 'vapor'. Whatever the hell went off made people look, and Hex gave a cat-like cry of surprise as she saw the cloud consume her friend. As the smoke cleared-- Selina was covered in a mixture of green dust and goo. The drink seemed to have a strange effect on her, making her all sticky and covered with the spicy dust. Any pleasant taste was gone as her face and hair was marked with green-- as she took off her glasses, sparing her eyes.

The surrounding area erupted in laughter as even Hex who fluttered nearby covered her paws over her mouth to contain her meows of laughter.

Standing there, silent and frozen, Temperance had bad flashbacks of when she was teased and the meangirls who poked fun at her for whatever reason they could. Sure, people were laughing at her, but with good reason being covered by such a goo. She took a moment to let out a breath then...

"Well... good thing green is my color," she commented, cool as ice as if she just walked in as her true persona.

Another bit of laughs came-- this time encouraged with applause for her as she simply wiped some of the goo from her hair a bit-- and walked over to Faust. Without her glasses, she indeed looked a bit more daring , oppose to how geeky she was with them. She approached the mad scientist and took his drink. "Nice hair," she commented, sipping a bit of his drink in defiance-- and then handed it back. The drink didn't have the same effect as it did on her, but she did it to kind of tempt him a bit. "So, looks like you decided to give the party a try. I was tired of all work and no play as well..."

Finally over her laughing fit, Hex fluttered down towards them. "Hehehe! Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Clearly that drink had no class Like Agil's. "

"He would throw a fit if that was served in his club," Selina said as she looked herself over.

However as she did, her gaze came to something else. One of the events of the party going on, held in a strange tarped area. Light was cast on it as drums went off,with neon paint being sprayed by those in the area. The paint-drumming was dynamic, giving off well with the loud music already playing-- and she found an opportunity there.

With a teasing look to Faust, she handed him her green exploding drink-- hoping it might do the same to him-- as she walked over to the drumming of the paint.

As one became free, while still covered in the strange goo-- she set herself at one as a mix of different paints were sprayed into it. She took the drum sticks and started to bang them in!

She had a good rhythm going as she banged in tune with the music, adding her own percussion and causing paint to fly. The paints of bright red, pink, yellow, green and violet began to fill the air and on her own clothing-- which fit well with the shade of green already on her. Both paint went flying through the air, like fireworks against the ultraviolet lighting-- and on her own already stained clothing, which brought out the colors better.

Cheers soon went off as she did, both by the display, and the music. Bust most of all, her ability to turn her mishap with the drink into a positive spin-off with her 'spin art'.

Faustein had been wondering what the strange drink he had ordered would look like when it arrived before him at last. It looked almost like the bartender had captured a rainbow and mixed it with alcohol in some way, but nevertheless, Faustein took the plunge and drunk the whole thing in a single gulp as he was accustomed to doing whenever he had alcohol. Interestingly enough, it had quite the kick, true to its name, but still it was not anything he could not handle with his particularly high level of tolerance.

"Now that's what can truly be called a drink. Good work on this drink."

He said, complimenting the bartender and then sat back to observe what would happen to him. Interesingly enough, it caused streaks of bright neon rainbow color appear in his normally whitish-green hair.  

Hmm, that was milder an effect than what my mind had conceived of when the order was put in for this drink.

The drink also apparently had an appealing effect on the passersby, judging from how he was now receiving compliments left and right. Then, as Selina came up to him, complimented his hair as well and took a sip of his drink, he smirked slightly and this turned into a wider smile when he saw the literal explosion that her own drink had caused on her, covering her with what seemed like neon green goo. He did not forget that snarky jibe that her pet kitty, Hex, had shot at him earlier and so, he waited till said Exceed had flown in low towards them before spraying her with a mist of hyper-concentrated catnip extract in retaliation for that jibe of hers from earlier. After that, he was beckoned over by an event usher in a raver outfit who gave him the relevant stamp as proof of participation in the drinking activity for the party and so, Faustein accepted it and then headed back to Selina and Hex.

Then, as he caught sight of the same paint drumming activity as Selina had, he moved over there and looked on as Selina began drumming, causing the neon paint to fly all over in an artistic way. She had somehow turned what was a mess on her clothing into something creative, which was impressive, to be frank, especially judging from the cheers she had elicited from the crowd. He was carrying her drink which she had handed to him earlier, but unlike her and especially after seeing what had happened to her, he was prudent enough to not try taking a sip from it. Instead, he handed it off to a passing waittress with a small smirk on his thin lips.

The drumming game was fun as it allowed Selina to blow off her initial steam about the embarrassing drink situation. Had it not been for a better nature she showed, she would of dumped that drink on Faust for his humor. All the while, Hex was batting the cloud and air both to repel and stirred by the catnip dust that the doctor shot at her. She was recovering through and calmed down as she floated nearby.

By the time she was done, she had made the whole area aglow like a work of art-- including herself. THankfully her glasses kept her eyes clear, with drops of paint marking them. She looked like some modern artwork that sprung to life from the canvas. The cheers she got put her in a good mood even while she was dripping  in paint. Some lewd whistles came to her as if she was some 'crazy girl', as she finished and walked to join Faust and Hex. "Yes, anything you wanna say? Let's hear it from the peanut gallery?"

Hex calmed down as she looked to her friend, her black wings fluttering in the air. "Well, I like the new tie-dye vest... pfft! Mreow...." she mewed, feeling a bit tipsy.

Selina sighed as she shook her head. "You just had to give her catnip, didn't you? YOu really are a deranged doctor, you know that?" she teased.

"And this is why I told you to never take drinks from these kinds of parties," a voice said. Temperance turned to find none other than her friend Agil-- a tall, dark skinned man with a bald head and a gentle smile. He had a tray in one hand, filled with drinks that he prepared and offered one to Selina.

"Always a pleasure to see you, Agil , and thank you." she asked. "How is the party?"

"Keeping me busy. Still putting the art of drinking to shame with all this junk. Most of these guys wouldn't know a good cocktail if it went up their a---"

The music soon kicked in as everyone turned to the center dancing area. They began to announce a new contest for dancing. With that, something inside Temperance sparked. She always loved to sing and dance, and was very good at it too. As an almost wicked smirk appeared on her lips, Hex saw that. "Uh oh, I know that look..." the cat meowed.

Selina walked closer to the contestants so she could join in. Lucky for her, stealing the dance floor was something she was good at.

Faustein had been watching as Selina's performance came to a close and when she came up to him and her pet Exceed, Hex, which had been having quite a bit of fun trying to evade and yet indulge in the thick cloud of hyper-concentrated catnip extract, he smirked in response to her query about any comments and then remarked

"Hmm, comments, eh? Well, for one you certainly seem to know how to play the crowd like a true blue fiddler. On another note, as Hex just pointed out, that tie-dye top of yours looks quite amusing indeed."

His smirk turned into a small chuckle when she had called him a deranged doctor

"Indeed, as the ancient aphorism propounds, with the best of genius also comes the worst of madness, and if memory serves, the series of IQ tests that were administered to me throughout my formative years always came up with 200+ as the score. Regarding your kitty though, it was payback for that jibe from earlier about my alleged perversion which is a completely baseless accusation."

He had looked toward the paint drumming setup and then back at Selina while saying

"Now then, time for me to take center stage next."

With that, he went over and tried his hand at the paint drumming activity as well. He had experimented with it as a hobby in his younger days and thus, he was conversant with its secrets. Thus, he was able to drum up quite a catchy beat like the best of professional drummers, and of course, the neon paints danced to his beat, splashing all over him, all over the tarp, and onto the nearby crowd as well due to the fact that he was using his magic very subtly to guide its motions. After several minutes of rather energetic and skillful drumming, his tune came to a close as well and he now had a tie-dye shirt as a souvenir as well. So, he took a bow, gave the crowd a pistol salute and then headed back to Selina and Hex with a smirk, but in the interim it seemed like they had more company, specifically a friend of theirs who was apparently called "Agil". So, Faustein let them converse and simply observed the interaction silently. It was then that he heard the call to the dance-off and saw that wicked gleam in Selina's eyes which caused him to smirk

"Hmm? Why the worry about Selina? Is she that terrible but enthusiastic about dancing perchance?"

He asked Hex as he noticed the little Exceed sporting a nervous expression and reflecting that in her words. While waiting for her response, he noticed another usher like that first one call him over and so, he headed over and collected his second relevant stamp as proof of participation in the paint drumming activity for the party.

The words from the cat wasn't out of grief of worry, but she knew that Temperance always loved a challenge. The performer that was before them, was no slouch in dancing. He was like a robot-- in fact, he was one. Some form of human with metal parts either by magic or some sort of creature someone had created. It clearly wasn't the most handsome thing-- but he danced like a pro. He took to the music with robotic moves and cutting the dance floor that made the entire crowd cheer in awe.

By the time he finished, he did one of those hand-flips, wowing the audience even further. Still, Temperance mildly clapped at him as he looked to her friends behind. "I'll show you some real dancing." she said as she soon stepped into the dance floor, about to show them all up.

Still covered in paint, she relaxed and got ready for the music. It wasn't the first time she danced. In fact, many of her Umbra Witches performed dances with either their magic or when they were fighting angels. For her, she was sure she could one up that walking tin-can.

She soon stepped into the stage, and soon the music began to play. Despite her dirty clothing, she entered a spin as the music kicked in and began to move. One would imagine her coordination was sloppy due to her nerdy look, but her move to the music was smooth and seamless as she moved. The music was a slow beat at first, and one wouldn't mind or think more of it. However as the music began to pick up and take a jazzy tune, she made an interesting move...

... she maneuvered to remove her vest-- tossing it to the side that was covered in paint. That gave a teasing, wrong message to many as many of the men suddenly went slack-jawed or began to hoot and whistle at the 'strip' move.

"And here we go..." Hex meowed, more to the reaction to the men over a simple removing of a dirty vest-- she was still fully dressed, but the move gave the subconscious reaction many would get as she 'strip-teased' to the music. That at least would give some points :P

Faustein had been watching the dance-off unfold and noted the male cyborg and his "Robot" dance after which he saw Selina step on to the stage and begin her performance. A few minutes into it, he understood the reason for Hex's remark since he saw Selina pull the same attire changing stunt she had on that one job he did with her. Of course, being the asexual and unromantic man he was, her performance did not affect him at all, at least not in the same way it had the other males in the audience who began to hoot and whistle at her for her apparent "strip-tease" of a show. For his part, Faustein simply looked on in silence with a highly amused expression on his face in response to seeing how easily she was playing everyone else in the crowd.

"Your Mistress is quite the expert at crowd control, eh? She is a truly amusing specimen, indeed."

He said to Hex and then waited for his turn to go up on stage and try out the dance moves he had seen now and then while browsing LacTube or when his classmates from his collegiate days had forced him to watch such along with them.

'Monster Dice' :

The tone of the music soon matched, as she danced faster-- now getting into the mood with her dirty vest gone as she began to become more graceful! She spun, stepped right and moved her body in creative, seductive ways. Clearly the male patreons of the party would get the wrong idea with her tossing a piece of her clothing away, but it was clearly appropriate for this kind of party and crowd. From the sideline, Hex, Agil and Faust would watch. Seeing that Faust was about to join a dance too, Hex shook her head. "Be grateful you are not dancing-off to Temperance. She would stomp you into the dust," she meowed playfully as she found a perch-- on top fo Agil's bald head to rest.

"H-Hey! Get off my head, cat!" It seemed Agil had his own disagreements with Hex like Faust did.


The music and dance wasn't the only thing she did. She was now singing now, also matching the song playing. She now was putting on quite the show with elegant spins, throwing her 'greened' hair about and thrusting her body in methods that were a bit sensual. Then she made a daring move as she reached down-- as if she was gonna take off her top.

The crowd went wild with male interest as they hoped to see her topless...

... but it never happened as in that moment, as if to discard her stained, painted dirty clothing-- that teasing gesture was met with a sudden flash of light that consumed her body!

After a few seconds, the light faded-- to reveal her in another guise all together. The nerdy, jeans-wearing and glasses-wearing girl was gone to reveal a woman dawned in a classy black and orange dress, with a skirt, boots, elegant clothes that made a good top.  She requipped into her 'Lovers" vestment from her Arcana Armament magic. Also known as Songstress as she now became an enchantress and performer in one. While the outfit enhanced support magic she used-- it also was perfect for when she did her 'performances'.

Despite the lack of not seeing her 'topless' or 'stripping', the crowd became more enthralled with her as she sang and danced, pulling off impressive moves with each energetic beat of the music. She was elegant, smooth and dynamic with her movement, easily putting that high-rank dancer robot to shame. With her final lyric and tune, she posed with her microphone in the air, as if to declare victory.

The crowd erupted with applause, cheering as if they had paid to see her. But that was a secret that Faust didn't know. When she wasn't plotting capers or being a fake news reporter, she also moonlighted as a singer and dancer for a few more private venues and would often hold concerts. Of course, the knights and police would always try to catch her when she held these venues.

But that made it all the more fun.

Faustein had smirked as he heard Hex, Selina's little black feline familiar, disparage him thus, but instead of showing anger, he merely let out his usual deep, rumbling chuckle and gave her a wide, cordial smile and replied while tilting his head such that the light glinted off the polarized surface of his smart holographic glasses.

"Oh, there can hardly be any doubt on that front, as admittedly, dancing is not part of my forte in any degree."

Then, without warning, he brought out the small spray bottle which contained that same hyper-concentrated, special catnip extract solution and then sprayed a thick cloud of it right at her, and multiple times at that before putting it away again. After that, he waited until Selina came down from the stage and then headed up there. Once on stage, he was confronted with a pair of female dancers who were dressed in identical raver's outfits and were apparently going to be his competition for this round of the dance-off.

"Hey, old man! Can you match these rad moves of ours?"

With that, they launched into an impressively synchronized, and apparently sensual dance performance which managed to elicit quite the uproar of cheering, clapping, cat-calling, and wolf-whistling from the crowd of onlookers. After that, they challenged him

"Come on! Get your game on! Show us all how a fossil like you gets down and funky on the dance floor!"

They said with matching dismissive smirks to him and then fell silent and stood back to watch him at which point, he merely flashed a smug smirk right back at them and then went into his performance. First, he spun about and initiated a seamless transformation wherein his casual outfit magically transformed before everyone's eyes into his usual physician-scientist's outfit, but this time he had a white fedora on his head as well.



"And a 5, and a 6, and 7, and an 8!! Hit it!!"

He snapped his fingers while pointed towards the DJ who then started up a rather catchy and energetic tune. Then, in a suave and smooth manner, he went into his performance which consisted of a series of moves he had seen on one of his LacTube browsing sessions.













After this, he slowed down and finally ended his dance sequence, at the end of which, the crowd was stunned for a few moments, but utimately erupted into cheers for him. The two girls conceded defeat and thus, he was the victor of the dance-off. Then, he took a bow and then did one last dance move as he exited the stage



Then, he head back to where Selina, Hex, and Agil were waiting and maybe watching with a smirk and once he arrived, he asked Hex

"So, how was that?"

While waiting for her appraisal, he noticed a third usher in the same raver's outfit standing with the stamp linked to the dance-off activity, so he went and collected this one as well and thus, he now had three stamps to show that he had indeed been at this bacchanalian rave party.

Temperance soon walked back to the group where her friends were. She saw Agil who was impossible to miss-- and now the added bonus of Hex laid out on his bald hair, which was a funny visual to say the least. "Enjoy the show, you two?" Selina asked, noticing a bit of a blush on Agil's face.

"Y-yeah, It was good. Looks like you had a lot of fun out there," he said.

Hex chuckled upon his head. "Yeah, though the stripping might have been a bit overkill for a party like this." Hex teased in return.

Both Selina gave a playful wave to the cat, while Agil, fed up with her on his head, reached to bat her off. The cat meowed and took flight into the air once more.

By then, she also saw Faust cutting up the rug as well. He was similar to the robot she danced against, but at least he was a bit more 'human' in his motions. As she watched him finish, one of the party staff came up to Temperance. "Hey there. Good job out there. You really put on quite a show... though gotta be careful next time. Some of these guys would jump your bones if you get too crazy. "

"You don't say...?" Selina replied with an obvious tone of sarcasm in her voice.

The man soon handed her something-- three stamps to hold on to. "Please take these. These are proof of your activities, and will offer you a great prize if you use them." he said, smiling as he handed them to her and walked away.

Surprised, Selina held the stamps and looked to her friends. While they didn't know what to say, she clearly had gotten a prize in some way. Once Faust would return, she would stretch out her arms. "Well, I'm done crashing this party and now I wanna just crash in bed. No comments from the peanut gallery," she said, leering at Faust as she turned to leave the loud dance party.

Faustein chuckled at the interaction between Selina, Hex, and Agil and then when Selina turned to leave, he did so as well, having had his fill of the night's activities

"Well said, and my sentiments exactly."

Then, he smirked at Agil and remarked in a serious voice and manner while nodding at Selina

"This one is a real wildcat, in more ways than one, friend. So it would be prudent in your dealings with her tonight. Well then, good night to you all."

Of course, he was only joking despite his serious deadpan manner. Then, he turned about on his heel and vanished rapidly from sight while giving one last parting remark, with his words lingering on the strong, whistling wind that somehow blew through the area despite it having been rather calm all throughout earlier

"Till next we meet, au revoir."

Several moments later, he reappeared in Magnolia which was his hometown and headed off to his mansion for a good night's rest.
