A younger man and woman dressed in thick coats with backpacks full of equipment found themselves moving into the entrance of what most people would consider a death sentence. Wind whistled through what was only assumed the natural formations of the rock in the Mysterious Canyons. The wind would give off a sound that would cause most people to quickly distance themselves from the area as it was thought to be haunted when in reality it wasn't, at least that was what was believed as this place seemed to have a different way of haunting some of those who traveled through it. "Lance, I don't feel like we should be here. That whistling really gives me the creeps like there is something or someone in there waiting for us.." The shy-like female of the two spoke to her companion. "Don't be so scared, Tannas! We wanted an adventure so now we are here! Can't you feel it? That overwhelming feeling of adventure?!" Lance spoke back to her and started to move through the canyon entrance with Tannas reluctantly following behind him. The duo would move deeper and deeper into the canyon. Tannas would complain about wanting to leave while Lance would reinvigorate himself to move forward more and more it by using her negativity it seemed.

After around an hour of traveling through the twisting and turning paths of the canyons Tannas would get fed up with Lance's want for adventure when weighed against her feeling of dread. Tannas ran in front of Lance and prevented him from moving past her while she spoke. "Lance! This is enough! We have seen enough of this place and have traveled deeper into it than most others from town have ever done so lets head back, now!" She said sternly which was not her usual characteristic. "Okay, okay. Let's head back Tannas." He smiled at her nervously as he could feel that he may have been a few steps more from the woman leaving him there alone. He turned around where he looked back the way they came dumbfounded and realized something that he did not want to admit but in their current situation he had little choice. "Now... Which way was it..." He mumbled out his words as he looked back causing Tannas to widen her eyes at him. "We... Are ...Lost?! You are supposed to be great at finding your way around anywhere! Are you telling me that we are lost?!" She broke out of her shy personality as her anger erupted out from her more and more with each word.

Before the duo could keep talking though a sudden sound of an explosion echoed through the canyons causing Tannas to have a rush of fear come over her while Lance's interest was peaked to a new level. "What was that?" Lance spoke out before running towards where the sound had come from. "Lance! No! We should leave now!" Tannas spoke out as Lance ran off. She looked back the way they came and where her companion was running off to as she came to the conclusion that she would be more lost without him and quickly followed after him. The duo found themselves at a large destroyed building where they tried to remain hidden just in case what they found was not friendly. What they witnessed was a battle between two groups of people, one group wore all black tactical type clothing or darker colors like they were some sort of special forces while the other group seemed to be wearing magically enhanced armors of some kind. The special forces looking group was out numbered by the armored group but the difference in skill was easily noticeable with how they easily were dealing with the armored group. One of the men dressed in black had long white hair with emerald green eyes and seemed to be the leader of his side as he was fighting against the other side. His confidence was shown by how he was casually asking questions of his enemy as he dodged their attacks and then was able to catch his target off guard with a sudden parry of an attack from a sword using his clawed hands then he extended what looked like purple spears from his hand that stabbed through the man and pinned him to the ground. "So who are you guys? Some off branch of Cor Torva? You seem like some sort of new hires." He questioned his enemy more before he was forced to dodge another a blast of flames from another enemy. He dodged the attack but the man he had pinned was not as lucky and was burnt to a crisp. "Hey! We were having a conversation here!" He spoke out playfully before he continued his fighting with a grin over his face.

Tannas grabbed Lance's wrist and squeezed it causing him to look towards her. "We need to leave here now! We are not fighters and even if we were these guys look like professionals. We should mind our own business and leave here!" Tannas did not wait for Lance to reply to her and attempted to pull him back the way the came and planned to do so the entire way back out of the canyons if needed but she was not paying much attention and slipped on some of the debris near them causing her to scream out as she fell to the ground and pulled Lance down with her. Their fall would catch the attention of some of the armored men who would quickly make their way to them and because they were not a part of them attempt to attack them with a combination of wind and fire spells causing a large spear-like form of flame to rush towards them. The couple would look on in fear and Lance would move himself in front of Tannas to protect her from the attack but before it could hit the white haired man would appear in front of him from out of some shadows and release an even larger blast of white flames that engulfed the attack and burnt away the armored men. "So who are you two? You look like some randoms who found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time." He would speak to them as his ball of flame would wreak havoc on the enemies it came into contact with and continue further into more of them. The other six others who he was fighting alongside would appear near him as one of them spoke. "We have taken out all of the enemy, Cirven. They did not let us get any info on who they were or why we were tipped off by them to be here in the first place." A woman who wore a sleek skin tight suit with a sort of ethereal scope over her right eye spoke before she realized the duo were there too. "Who are they? They don't seem like enemies but are we neutralizing them too?" She questioned Cirven. "I honestly don't know yet, Laniiar. There are still too many vari-" Cirven was speaking before he was cut off by his earlier white fireball being dispersed suddenly by a purple mass of magical energy. "Did the actual enemies decide to show up?" Cirven took a few steps forward and spoke out to the couple as he did. "You two should get out of here. I can tell that you are not fighters after all." Tannas grabbed Lance's hand and nodded to Cirven while she started to pull Lance away from them. "Thank you!" Lance bowed his head to Cirven as he was being pulled and then ran off with Tannas.

"Cirven!" A feminine voice yelled out as multiple blades made of purple energy came out from in front of them suddenly and flew towards them. It seemed like no one was there in the first place but Cirven knew different. He dashed forward and deflected each of the blades away before replying. "Lendis, huh?" He continued walking forward casually before another barrage of purple blades were flung his way again that he quickly deflected. "You killed him! You killed my father! Just die!" Lendis yelled out from the shadows as she continued to send out more and more attacks towards her foster brother. Cirven stayed uncharacteristically quiet as she continued to attack him and force him to dodge. Some of her attacks had started to hit him and some of the others were about to move in to assist him but Laniiar put out her arm and stopped them, silently telling them that this was his fight. Another barrage of purple blades collided with Cirven with some of them hitting him and this time taking him down to a knee. Lendis then appeared from out of a shadow with her arms having a aura over them similar color to the purple blades she had been using to attack with and aimed to stab Cirven through with them. "CIRVEN!!" She screamed out in a guttural way while she forced both of her arms through his torso. Blood flooded out from him but he grabbed both of her arms not allowing her to move. "I'm sorry. That old man... He was the reason why-" Cirven tried to speak but was cut off by Lendis headbutting him causing him to release his grip and Lendis ripping her arms out from his chest. "Shut up! He was trying to help you and you killed him! You did it mercilessly! Why!? Why would you do that to someone who raised you!? Why?!" Tears formed over her face as she yelled at Cirven. She then rushed in before he could reply. "I don't care anymore! Just die!" She continued to yell and she swung around her arms towards him. He was forced to dodge while his body healed from the damage she had done to him as her attacks had increased in power causing the ground where she cut her arms through the air to be cut through like butter with a hot knife. "Sorry." Cirven spoke out again and then started to retaliate against his foster sister deflecting her attacks and aiming to hit her back as he knew he had no choice but to fight back. "You didn't know. He wanted me to do it as his last way to help save me." He spoke out as the two of them clashed attack after attack. "You are lying! You did it in cold blood!" She yelled out as she got more reckless with her attacks. "That man helped in creating me and knew my weaknesses from training me. You think a fight with him would have been so easy?!" Cirven yelled back causing Lendis to falter in her attack allowing him to parry her aura bladed limbs and trip her up where she would fall to the ground.

"Why... Why... Why would he do such a selfish thing and not tell me?! That is why you are a liar!!" Lendis would rush forward and aim to cut at Cirven's neck with her attack which he would use his magic to help deflect as he could tell the power that was behind it but something unexpected happened as his magic did not respond suddenly allowing her to cut clear through his guard and across his neck. His head fell from his body with a shocked look on his face as Lendis would stare on fright-filled at what she had done with his body following to the ground. She had known their entire fight that Cirven had been holding back which surprised her that he would allow her to achieve such an attack on him. "Nice hit, Lendis. Maybe I was right with having you fight Cirven after all." A man dressed in a blue suit with black hair and tanned skin appeared from out of a portal near Cirven's allies who attempted to attack him with their magic but quickly found out that their magic did not work and were dispatched by the man who through them each around onto the ground and used a magic to place pink shackles on their limbs and neck that dug into the ground and held them there. He stood over them with a smile over his face before he started to cough loudly. "I shouldn't be so rough with my family like this. It will make me even more sick than I am after what you little shits did to me last time we saw each other." Lendis turned to see the man with her face still full of shock before it formed into a face of anger. "What did you do, Lucian?" She angrily questioned him and moved towards him. "I gave you a bit of help and caused his magic to be disabled for a short time during you attack. I had to wait for the best time to do it while hiding myself from all of that. You would not believe how annoying it is to just sit there and watch those who tried to kill you and you thought were family sit in front of you without trying to rip each of their heads off." Lucian spoke out as he reached down towards the woman who had white hair and red eyes. "Korvin, you will amount to so much for this world. Mostly for me but I wanted you to sound like your sacrifice would be worth it in the end." Lucian laughed out loud as Laniiar cut him off with her question. "Are you going to kill each of us for some sort of revenge?" Lucian laughed more at her question. "Nope. At least not yet. I am letting you live to see that I become the thing that you were meant to kill all those years ago and then I will kill each of you. For now though you will each be joining me willingly or unwillingly. It doesn't matter. Cirven there will be left to rot away here in the ruins of the place that created him." Multiple portals opened over the bodies of the Detergers taking them away while Lucian then swiped both of his hands around the area where Cirven's body was causing debris to fall all over on top of it. "Join the other ghosts that haunt this area and rot away, little brother." Lucian spoke before he and Lendis left through their own portals.

A short time after everyone had left, Lance ran to the rubble that was over Cirven's body with Tannas with him. Both of them used teamwork to move the large chunks of debris. "I don't know how you convinced me to do this with how dangerous this is! He is probably dead after all!" She complained as they moved the debris. "You saw it! He healed from being stabbed through multiple times when he fought that woman. I'm sure he is alive. It is the most we can do for saving us like he did after all so put your back into it!"

Yona Hisamori's hair had finally grown back out, the long green tresses floating past her shoulders once more. It was too warm a day for the woman to leave it down however and she had swept it all up into a single long braid behind her. She too had grown; the twenty-three year old woman had taken a reprieve from her usual duties, trying to focus on the paper aspect of things. She had become somewhat of a recluse after what had happened with Ruvel, and worse for her heart, what had happened with Oykai. His disappearance could have been due to his job but with all the mysterious events going around, Yona thought it was to just take a break from it all. She was spending the summer with her brother, Sato and they had traversed the long way to the Mountain Village from where they were each born. She had never been with him there before but with an adequate disguise, none of the villager's would ask any questions about Sato's strange "return to the living as Ruvel's summon" situation.

Sato and she had spent time doing helpful errands and chores about the village for the past few days in return for a place to rest with an old neighbor of their's. It was time they stopped stalling however, the procrastination of returning to their burned home and greenhouse, the place where both Sato and her father had died, had placed the siblings into an awkward silence ever since their arrival at the mountain. She took a deep breath and placed a hand on Sato's shoulder, just outside of the door to their temporary home. "Are you ready for this, kiddo?" She asked him gently. The boy looked up at her, an uneasiness upon his face. To visit the place of his death was strange but he also didn't quite feel emotions in the same way she had. His biggest concern unbeknownst to Yona was that in this place and with Ruvel and Oykai's condition, that his spirit might be freed. What if he died again? What if he truly departed? Or what if his spirit became attached to something in the area and the strength of the energy from the family home was too strong for him to return to Tolgalen with his sister? The little boy only nodded up at her, his concerns left unvoiced and Yona none the wiser.

The woman sensed his discomfort but had no idea to what level his worries stretched. "Then we will do it together," She said to him, taking his small hand in her's. In this village, something strange had occurred to the plant mage: Sato would not age while she surely would. His hand felt smaller in her's when the notion passed through her mind and she tightened her grip on his little fingers, squeezing slightly. "Be brave. We can honor our father together in this visit. Nothing bad will happen here, again." Yona and Sato began the long walk up the path towards the grassy hill on the outskirts of the village. Their parents had chosen the spot for great views of the forest and mountain around them but also because of the fertile soil. The villagers hadn't touched this place out of both respect and fear of the Hisamori family, considering all the negative events which had taken place there.

The home that the siblings had once shared lay half over grown by the grass now. The ashen wood still stained black through the rain and wind of the years passed. A little garden was placed around the site and Sato let go of her hand to run towards it. "You outlined the place with flowers?" He asked her excitedly. She nodded with a little laugh, "I wanted the place to look beautiful. Do you like it?" The little dark haired boy grinned wildly, his expression of concern finally fading as his hands dug into the earth. He used his magic and a layer of yellow flowers grew around the initial encircling white blooms. Then a third layer even farther around grew, purple violets striking a pretty contrast against the green grass. "I think it's amazing, sis! And I think Father would love it too! I am going to add more!" Yona chuckled and shook her head as she started to sit upon the grassy hill top. "Don't go too wild with it," the plant mage cautioned.

    "And why not?!"
Sato returned with a grin, a fourth layer of tiny white strawberry plants flourishing now from his magic. The small white flowers budded slowly and then died, transforming into hundreds of bright red strawberries. Sato finally stopped to pluck up a few berries in his hands and smash them hurriedly into his mouth. The green haired mage chuckled again and shrugged, she didn't have a good answer to his question.
