Nicknames: Nem, Nemo, The Black Cat, God/Goddess of Memories
Gender: Varies
Age: Unknown
Birthday: Unknown
Race: Varies
Ethnicity: Varies
Sexuality: Unknown
Occupation: Casual Familiar, obscure writer, radio host.
Special Characteristics:
God(dess) of Memories; Mnemosyne is the God(dess) of Memories, an all-knowing, ethereal spirit who is responsible for the very concept of memories. Although Mnemosyne's cultural influence varies from place to place, they have existed for as long as memories have existed. Although it is outside of their character to do so, Mnemosyne can know any character's memories and manipulate them as long as those player characters express OOC permission. Otherwise, this power and title are for personal plot only and does not force other characters to abide by it.
No True Form; Mnemosyne is a God(dess) and doesn't have a "true form". They can take on the appearance of objects as simple as a stone or as complex as a human being. They are free to transform into any sex, creature, shape, and voice they find appealing. However, Mnemosyne tends to sport one of three appearances: a black cat, a black-haired man, and a white-haired woman.
Personality
perverted;
Unlike what most people tend to think gods act like, Mnemosyne is very much a disappointment in those heavenly regards. They are overtly perverted, as they will often make mildly lewd and crude comments on people's "features" and doesn't seem to mind to take their investigations onto a more physical level if need be. They tend to avoid physical repercussions if they do this in their feline form.
laid-back;
Relaxed, carefree, and easygoing. However one might put it, Mnemosyne is the epitome of what a person free of hardship acts like. Although that couldn't be farther from the truth, Mnemosyne doesn't seem to take things nearly as seriously as they should and lives as if they were only thinking about the present. Makes sense, seeing as they're immortal.
lazy;
In tandem with their laid-back demeanor, Mnemosyne is also incredibly lazy. If there was a glimmer of hope that they were actually hardworking despite their careless nature, it would have been crushed by this overt display of laziness they often have.
playful;
If there is anything Mnemosyne enjoys more than invading everyone's personal space, it's humor, or more specifically, playfulness. Teasing, mocking, and humorous, Mnemosyne is always looking for ways to bother others or amuse themselves. In many ways, they are very much cat-like.
insightful;
Despite consisting mostly of undesirable personality traits, Mnemosyne can be deceptively insightful and wise when guiding or advising others. Perhaps a trait garnered through immortality, Mnemosyne is incredibly insightful and aware of other people's thoughts and feelings, and not because of some sort of ethereal power. Although not being human themselves, they seem cognizant and somewhat empathetic of human emotions.
cunning;
Although having the appearance of being nothing more than a dumb, bumbling pervert, Mnemosyne is especially crafty. Although they never abuse their power over memories or any other ethereal power they might have, they can be cunning and somewhat manipulative in order to get certain results. Or maybe a good laugh. We never know.
mysterious;
Despite being incredibly honest, Mnemosyne can actually be quite aloof with others about themselves and their past. If Mnemosyne was troubled or burdened with an emotion they disliked, it'd be difficult to tell. In many ways, they're like an open book, but the words are in a foreign language.
About
Loves:
* Fish; A quirk they picked up as a cat over the years. It appears that they have grown incredibly fond of it even in their human forms.
* Men / Women; They call themselves a "Physical Aesthetic Enthusiast". For men, they tend to gravitate towards their rears. For women, it is normally their chests.
* Excitement; Mnemosyne loves to be entertained. Usually, the more dangerous it is, the more inclined they are to enjoy it.
Likes:
* Books; They enjoy both fiction and nonfiction.
* Technology; They remember when the latest technology was a carved stone!
* People; They make up for their overpopulation of Earthland with their sickeningly entertaining behavior.
* Fiore; There's never a boring day here!
* Art; They are deceptively enthusiastic about complex pieces.
* Food; Who doesn't? Their favorite is pan-seared salmon.
Dislikes:
* Dogs; A quirk they've obtained from years of taking on the form of an ordinary cat.
* Water; Also a quirk they've obtained from being a cat, but now they dislike getting wet altogether.
* Human Behavior; As entertaining as it is, it isn't hard to dislike their need for violence and their inability to tolerate disparities in different beliefs.
* Bad Writing; Understandable as a writer themselves.
Hates:
* Boredom; What exactly are they supposed to do when this happens? They hate the feeling!
* Absent-mindedness; Don't forget, you clutz!
* Not having their own memories; Probably their only burden and genuine desire to have an identity is what they hate most about their existence.
Motivations:
* Creating their own memories; Mnemosyne is an ethereal spirit that was born the moment the first memory was created. They never existed before then, and thus don't have their own identity. One of their greatest wishes is to create an identity for themselves and make their own memories instead of shuffling through slideshows of others. Meaningful memories, the kind that sticks with people for life. Even immortal lives.
* Making True Friends; Although Mnemosyne has existed since... well, forever, they couldn't help but become envious of humans and their complex relationships with others. Although they could very well on attractive appearances and dare to indulge with men and women for a night, they wouldn't mind make a friendship that lasts a lifetime.
* Finishing their first book; Although publishing many books over the years, they have been working on this one book since ink was discovered! Writer's Block is a hell of a block!
Fears:
* Never Creating an Identity; Never being more Mnemosyne, God of Memories, is something that depresses them, and something they'd like to change if they could help it.
* Never Finding a friend; In tandem with his other goals and fears, although knowing of many other gods and goddesses that are responsible for life as it is, Mnemosyne desires a friend beyond the ethereal. A human-esque friend.
* Lacrimasaurs; Bro, have you seen them?! They're overgrown lizards that snorted mana crystals for breakfast! They aren't around anymore, and thank the Gods they aren't! They were huge!
