History: [[The Following History Covers Her Creation Up To 8/30/2020]]
- Origins -> Arc 1 Begining:
- At a young age Avalon sadly knew that her living situation wasn’t normal, after all her parents always picked her up to leave whatever town, village or kingdom they were in at the time to hop to the next before a full season could even change. Every time she makes friends before being swept away by her parents. If she didn't already know her living situation was odd the day she turned 5 she was given tattoos by a creepy strange man who seemed friends with her parents. These tattoos cover her right shoulder and shoulder blade, her left forearm, the palm and back of her left hand, and her upper thigh leading down to her lower calf on her left leg.
Of course this freaking her out from how long she had to be pinned down by her parents in pain to receive the tattoos. At the end they told her this meant they would always be with her at all times. Soon after her parents started working with her with magic teaching her some fire based spells that lead to her being able to work with defending against fire spells, and having a single spell of the fire variety of her own. Shortly after this roughly a year later they brought her to a place she would unknowingly be growing up for the rest of her childhood in. Her parents bring her to an inn buying her a room and leaving her there to talk to the head of the inn.
She waited and waited until soon the owner of the inn walked in with a sad face only to see the confused girl's face and the tattoos on her body. He told her that her parents left her and had given him money to pay for her room and food for the next month. Avalon of course refused to believe her parents would just left her, running off searching the entire town through and through but never seeing her parents. She went to the entrance of the town sadly while crying and sat there waiting. For the next several months sat there refusing to leave that spot but accepting the food and blankets the inn kept brought her each day.
She ignored those who stared or who tried to talk to her. Focusing on her parents she never gave up hope that they would come back for her. Though when the innkeep told her they were still paying to keep her there and he doubted they were coming back she screamed at him and ran off from the town. She hoped that if she kept running her parents would show up. She ended up stumbling and falling and stared at the tattoos on herself remembering how her parents told her that they meant they would always be with her.
Feeling as they were lies written on her body alongside the proof she needed in her head to show her parents always planned on abandoning her she grabbed a nearby sharp rock and slashed at the tattoos along her leg with a scream and stared to slash at her shoulder trying to get to the shoulder blade before the inn owner stopped her taking the rock and held her close as she cried into him. For the next while she stayed in the inn room as he tended to her injuries until they were all healed. Once they were she left and roamed the town with wrappings over her tattoos and now scars watching the other kids her age run and play.
Seeing how they so happily stayed with each other, she started to think it was likely her personality that made her parents abandon her. So she took a deep breath and tried her best to mingle with the other kids with a bubbly and silly personality despite her heart still weeping over her parents. The more it hurt the brighter she smiled to hide it. And it wasn't working perfectly but it was starting. It was an act she didn’t like but one she would hold onto for years to come.
She even joking around with the other kids when they teased her about all her bandages, despite every time it reminded her of her lack of parents, she even smiling and waving as their parents took them in to eat only to tiredly walk about the town until she found a nice place to sit down and rest at not wishing to go inside knowing while she was inside more people could vanish before her eyes. Avalon though wasn’t always stuck making the first attempt though, a young boy about her age named Thost taking the first step towards her and due to this Avalon quickly latched onto him from finally having someone who genuinely seemed just wanted to be around her.
She began hanging out with him every day even if it was just chilling out in his general area and the two became cast friends, a friendship that would end up lasting to this very day as they enter their late teens. Around the time they became friends though she decided to begin training her skills with magic seeing it as a possible way she could be seen as a burden and a crowning example as to why her new friend could see reason in leaving her, spreading into a thought of anyone leaving her for these reasons. Day in and day out through rain or snow she did her best to practice working on her own magic, spells, and fighting skills whenever the two weren’t hanging out.
And as the years passed she became well versed in her own type of magic mixed with the magic in which her parents had trained her in so long ago. And now as she enters her late teens she finds herself verily skilled in the magic having a few spells as well attached to it. She still hanging out with Thost primarily knowing many of the others her age still found her odd, liked to make fun of her wraps along sit her clothing style of choice and now given her parents never returned for her. She was hurt by many parts of this but never showed it, she simply acted the same way as usual creeping out the other teens letting them leave.
Though around this time the inn kept who she came to find as a father figure at this point told her that after all these years her parents finally stopped sending money to the inn to pay for her needs. There was no remark as to why, what happened, or anything. But the only way she saw as a way to know her parents were still alive was gone… even if it ended up someone else was sending the money all this time to her she felt like this was her parents sending the money and now knowing that it stopped she thought the only way to know her parents were alive somewhere out there was now gone.
She wishes to leave and look into it but too afraid to leave the two people she cared most about, the inn keep, and Thost. So she stayed not wanting to leave and never see them again somehow. Though one day did come where Thost decided to leave the old town. And after much debate she decided she didn't want to be left behind, and that the inn keep may still be there when she comes back if she's the one to leave first and set off with Thost in his travels, all while claiming it was just a, ‘you can’t get rid of me that easily’ joke despite her own real fears of abandonment and feelings that matched this statement very accurately. She though now traveling with the young man all the while keeping her eyes open to possible leads to what happened with her parents.

- Letter 1 Arc 1:
- Dear mother and father,
What has it been 12 years since you left me here? I suppose you should know I am still alive, that the owner of that inn treated me far more like a daughter then you both did in the end. He taught me how to read, tended to my wounds, kept me fed and safe.It is very possible that it was all just for the money. But then again since neither of you checked up on me it could have been possible that you would have sent him that money every moth even if he let me starve in the streets. I doubt you’ll even read this letter but I have decided to write it and leave it here in case you ever return to this place for some reason or another. That way you know even if you didn’t want what happened to me.
I survived, I learned to fight, how to use my own kind of magic, how to put on a personality and face that others like outside of my own usual personality that likely drove you both away. I made a friend who has been there almost as long as you both had left me for without a word. He has decided to venture from this place and I am deciding to go with him. I hope to one day learn of your reasons as to why you left me, and why the money stopped flowing. I never cared for the money honestly, I just let the owner use it for whatever he felt was best until I needed new clothes or a practice weapon to train with.
But given it stopped means something new happened, either it's your death or desire to stop sending money here in hopes it’d reach me… something changed and I wish to know what that something is. So if you are reading this by returning to this place. I supposed I should have stayed here after all just a while longer to try and see you again… and I’m genuinely sorry I wasn't more patient. I do hate you to a degree for you leaving me I won’t lie, but honestly… I hate myself more for not being good enough to keep, I’ll be better for those who I hold close from here on. That way they won’t leave me too.
- Avalon
Avalon then walked into her old inn room that was kept rented out to herself all this time that she usually only used to store her things. She walked up to the small stand next to the bed and kneeled down folding the letter into thirds. She pulled out the drawer and reached in, slotting the letter in the back of the drawer where the back of the stand and the top drawer met and pulled her hand out pushing the drawer closed before leaving.
