Business Licences Register

Here is the thread where you can register for a Plot Company and a Business Licence, and apply your in character company to the Forum's official register of businesses. These businesses can be run either by your character or your chosen character-based NPC, and are known as a Plot Company.

What is required to create a Plot Company?
In order to create a Plot Company, the registrant must have a purchased sub-board, company name, business, type, and description. Once you have purchased your subboard and applied through staff to have it made, you will register the business here and once approved have it added to the official list of IC businesses. You are also required to purchase the Plot Company through the The General Store.

What is the benefit of having a Plot Company?
Plot companies are an expansion of the story element available to our members here at FTRP, this provides our members them with canon work opportunities outside of being a 'guild mage' and experiences associated with the registered businesses. It allows members to interact with each other outside of their guilds, helps build our IC community as well as contributes to site lore. Additionally, once you have a plot company, you can purchase a 'Business Licence', this allows you to sell In-Game items with your companies brand and design.

What does a Plot Company entail?
For whatever plot reasons, your character can either own a company, or you can create an NPC boss for them and a place of work. ICly, the characters would get a wage, however, there is no actual OOC payment of jewels for having a job. Those who run business can develop their business however they see fit, and can even create 'employment systems' where you can offer jobs to other site members based on the type of company you are running. Plot Companies are also protected by a level of ownership similar to that of your own character's history and cannot be altered affected by other players without explicit OOC permission.

What is a Business Licence?
A business licence allows the owner of a Plot Company to create an In-Game Shop within their subboard, where they are allowed to sell brand items for a small jewel profit. The maximum cost of brand items is capped at 5,000 Jewel. Should the players sell any items/armours/weapons that are Strong, Legendary and so on, then players are still required to buy the grade of these items from the armory. All items created by the plot companies will still be subject to grading by staff and may require edits if they do not comply with the Magic Rules. It is advised that Business Owners have their items graded through their character or another player to the point of approval. This is so they can base their products on the approved item.
