Magic Name: Arc of the Scribe
Magic Type: Lost Primary | Summon Auxiliary
Description: Words are what breathe life into a scribe, and magic is what defines a mage. It isn't unlikely for these two professions to cross, not when they might share a core dependence on their talents. However, while there might've been a time where arcane scribes rose to notoriety, the current era considers those years a memory folded between pages left unread. The most popular theories that scholars have adapted as an answer to this decline brings up an average scribe's reclusive tendency and modern wizards growing to favor grander magics.
The small handful of mages that did go on to practice this art have described their magic as a liberated form of expression beyond typical means - a far cry from the fabled 'word-play' that some people like to harp when they see these scribes at work. Given a writing device, the arcane scribes can print specific keywords as their spells, called scripts, in order to combat specific situations through their constructs. Script designs are encouraged to be as diverse as possible, since these mages subscribe to a belief that words provide the substance while creativity provides the flavor.
The novice practitioners are known to have relied heavily on writing fluid in order to cast their spells, while the masters are able to condense their mana into specially augmented tools that they forged themselves. Then there were the elders from their prime that appear in many of the scribes' historical narratives as their words are said to have manifested even the intangible; but actual existing sources of these elders remain scarce, if not lost entirely, reducing their so called feats into what the newer arcane scribes assume to be the truth - that the elders are probably just a marketing strategy that the ancient scribes used to entice the greenhorns who knew no better.

Range: 120 Meters

Downside: --
Description: The Lobster is a spell script that fashions a thumb ring once cast, giving off a reddish glow when worn. To realize its ability, the wearer must rub the exterior of the ring aggressively for three seconds. This action discharges the energy stored inside it, causing a four ft. long lobster claw mimic to attack a seen entity within spell range, dealing magic damage to the target. The way the construct moves is chiefly determined by the ring-bearer, where they need only move the hand that holds the ring in a manner they see fit. After some delay, the claw follows the motion that the user's arm made prior, forcing its weight down on an enemy.
The Lobster ring holds up to three charges, and will need to expend one post to recharge all three charges. A successful hit translates to a 50% magic resistance reduction, which lasts until another spell damages the affected enemy or until the spell duration is spent. An enemy, however, cannot be targeted by the claw more than once within a post.

Description: Canary is a script that must be applied onto a liquid surface. If this condition is met, a bird-like construct shapes itself from the fluid. It exhibits the same mannerisms of any other small bird, but makes no sound. The caster is able to manipulate this script such that they may place the Canary on a tangible object through a writing instrument. This will make it so that the bird appears seated on the object until it serves its purpose, which involves soaking up a certain amount of damage directed at its perch. The bird explodes once the damage it takes exceeds its durability or if the spell is 1 post away from ending.
The explosion will cause the blast radius to be altered by the magic energy stored inside the script, creating an area that has the same properties of deep water - though there is no visible liquid to be seen. Oxygen still exists inside the zone, but any entity still within the area following the blast will have their movements slightly impaired by a sluggishness akin to sinking for 1 post.
