Job Title: God of the Undead: Breaking the Bonds of Death
Rank: S Rank
Category: Normal/ Job Series
Job Location: Sky Tower
Solo Word Count: 7,000
Group Word Count: 14,000
Additional Requirements: Must have completed God of the Undead: The Nephilim.
Job Description: As the ritual is ending, the soul laughs darkly, telling the Nephilim that she was a fool, as there can only be one God by the end of this ritual. The walls, floors, and ceiling crack and are utterly destroyed. You seem to be standing on a platform in some alternate dimension of sorts, unable to return to your own dimension. The platform is of no material of our world and has been made into a circular shape. Even the very air is different than our world. Without the card wizards will feel the negative effects of the dimension, thus making this fight more difficult. The soul sends out a blast of energy in all directions, shattering the three bodies' molecular structures and drawing them towards the soul hovering in the center.
The mass begins to take form and shapes into a form of Lich none have seen before. Once the creature takes shape, booming, evil laughter is heard. All manner of energy seems to be sucked towards the Lich every second. The Lich then speaks, his voice’s volume raised even at a whisper and echoes from nowhere. His power is higher than any mortal. It is almost as if he is a God. He mentions with sarcasm that he takes pity on the wizards, but tells them to be grateful for they were able to witness the rise of Aarzarath, the God of the Undead. After this, he begins the final fight.
Description of the dimension: The platform itself is made of what appears to be solid shadows. It is unmovable to you and unbreakable. Periodically new platforms will pop into existence before vanishing just a few seconds afterward. Only the platform with the ritual circle remains intact at all times. Instead of a blue sky, you see a mixture of rotting green, blood red, and a pulsing purple mass of energy. It’s almost as if the dimension is a massive sphere. You see things moving through the dimension at rather high speeds, all of them circling the ritual platform. These look like tiny crystal stars of energy, surrounded by some sort of cloud or gas.
Once Aarzarath is defeated, a rip in the dimension appears below, like a black hole. It immediately pulls everything that hadn’t originated in that dimension towards it and you find yourself in the ritual room again. Aarzarath’s body slowly turns to ash in the middle of the floor. The Nephilim recovers and if you choose to talk to her she apologizes for everything she’s done. She also breaks down and cries. If you do not arrest her, she will contact you in a later thread once she’s fully recovered, informing you that she’s lost her magic, thanks you for defeating Aazarath, and wishes to keep in contact, wanting to earn your friendship. Whatever route you choose, you are given the jewel reward by the magic council, and the girl offers you two items. Her Nephilim blade, or a celestial key. This key belonged to one of the high cultists you defeated and says that he wanted you to take care of the spirit. She will also tell you how to reverse the plague and restore Fiore to its original state.
Enemies: There are no enemies other than the boss, but the dimension does have environmental hazards that the players suffer. The elements in this dimension are completely different from your own, therefore there are several negative effects on you. It’s far more difficult to breathe which obviously affects your body in multiple ways. The air is also toxic to mortals and deals 10 points of damage each post. Additionally, the shadowy platforms are not of this earth either. Born and forged from the void, this substance drains those who touch it, sucking magical strength and draining 2% of your magic power each post. The stars that circle the ritual area also hone in on any who attempt to fly or cross to alternate platforms. They phase through the body and strike the soul directly, immobilizing any who fly or leap to other platforms for a single post.
Reward: 100,000 jewel OR a Legendary+ weapon following the divine blade theme OR a Legendary+ Pet following a fallen angel theme.

- Aazarath, God of Undeath
While Aarzarath has accomplished the most powerful and most difficult feat in the history of necromancy, his power is not yet at its maximum. Regardless, he is a very powerful adversary. His flesh heals so quickly that it seems as if no physical attack effects him at all. His magical resistance is high and thus many magical attacks do not do well against him. He is a god, yet not of the original collection, therefore God slayer magic doesn’t work as it should. In fact, God slayer magic amplifies his strength. Alongside these, he has a massive arsenal of spells at his disposal, along with a list of abilities. Aazarath is extraordinarily powerful and is no fool. He takes no chances either. He has studied you by using the Nephilim and knows your fears, strengths, weaknesses, and will use all of them against you.- Spells and details:
Abilities:
God of the Undead - Physical attacks deal 50% less damage to Aaszarath. Any undead beings summoned or sent against him will turn against their summoner, obeying Aarzarath instead.
New Generation - God slayer magic deals 75% less damage to Aazarath. With each successful attack from God slayer magic, Aarzarath deals twice the original damage on his next attack.
Unstable Anomaly - Aazarath drains magic energy, thus making magical attacks deal 25% less damage.
God of the World - While you don’t understand this dimension, Aarzarath does. He is able to move the shadow material and reshape it however way he wants. If he wanted a castle he could turn the platform into such. If he wanted spears he could seize platforms that pop into existence and turn them into spears, sending them towards you. You are unable to turn the world against him. Telekinesis is useless as he can control anything here anyways.
Eyes of a God - Aazarath sees past any and all illusions, disguises, shapeshifting, and is fully aware of everything that happens on the battlefield.
Gaze of the Dead - Looking into his eyes causes instant petrification for one post, no matter what your rank. What the wizard sees while immobilized is entirely up to you.
Decaying Aura - If wizards physically touch Aazarath in any way, their next attack deals 10% less damage.
Note: Aazarath’s damage reducing abilities can stack, but they cannot block more than 75% total. Wizards will always be able to deal at least 25% of their damage to him at all times.
Physical Attack
Weapon attacks - Aazarath has a weapon made of the bones of a god. He can reshape it into literally any weapon he so desires and can attack you with it. This blade deals x3 of the highest wizard’s rank in damage and weakens the target due to its soul chipping effect.
Spells
Siphon Blood - Simply by reaching out, Aazarath can tear the blood from any wizard he chooses and absorb it, healing himself for 25 points of health. Divine blood cannot be absorbed, only torn out.
Annihilation Nova - A blast of energy that expands outward through any physical structures and deals x4 of the highest wizard’s rank in damage, as well as disrupts any and all spells, banishing any summons out, and reversing take over magic. Spells cannot be used on the turn this spell is activated. This spell has a five post cooldown.
Dark Missile - A twisted form of arcane missile spell that fires three energy spears that home in on targets, phasing through physical structures that get in its way, dealing the highest wizard’s rank in damage each.
Blight - Creates a living pool of blight about 1 full meter in length that remains for the rest of the fight and cannot be removed. If one stands near or over it, they are slowed down. If they touch the pool, they receive damage over time dealing S-Rank damage for three posts.
Plane Shift - Aarazath steps into a plane of existence that is outside of any dimension. He cannot be harmed in this state but cannot attack either. He will not be idle however and continue to warp the shadow platforms and mess with your head, emotions, and memories.
Dimension Door - Whenever he feels like it, or whenever you attempt to teleport, he can open a hole in the dimension and transport you to another segment of it.
Summon Undead Warriors - Raises 3 Undead warriors to fight for him. Has a 3 post cooldown.- UNDEAD WARRIOR INFO: Undead Warriors are far from zombies. They have retained their knowledge, wisdom, intelligence, and battle instincts, along with their agile and strong bodies. These warriors are not at all foolish and will avoid traps you lay down. They are close-range fighters whose weapons can be literally anything that is not a projectile. This includes unusual weapons your characters may not have seen before. These creatures find ways to harm you even if they can’t get to you, whether it be slamming a heavy weapon onto the ground and creating a shockwave or hurling massive rocks at enemies. Each hit will deal 2x S-Rank damage. They all wear chainmail and steel plate armor. It takes at least 5x S-Rank attacks to defeat them. They are 50% resistant to physical attacks.
Summon Skeleton Warriors - Raises 3 Skeleton warriors to fight for him. Has a 4 post cooldown.- SKELETON WARRIOR INFO: Skeleton Warriors are not nearly as easy to defeat as the undead warriors. These warriors have no armor, yet they do not need any. Magic binds their bones together, allowing them to survive blows far more effectively than others. Shattered bones simply pull themselves back together again, slowly forming back into solid bones again. Skeletons use lightweight weapons and ranged weapons, preferring one-handed swords and shields, bows and arrows, etc. They aren’t foolish either and will avoid any and all spells designed to counteract or disable magic, as well as spells in general. They are surprisingly agile and very skilled at dodging. Their attacks aren’t as strong as the warriors', but they are fierce and thus their attacks deal S-rank damage and pierce through armor whether magical or physical to do 50% of their damage. It takes 8x S-Rank attacks to defeat them and they are 25% resistant to any damage.
Summon Drakaaz - Raises Drakaaz once more to fight for him. Has a 5 post cooldown after Drakaaz is killed.- DRAKAAZ INFO: Drakaaz is an undead dragon. Its scales are all gone leaving nothing but rotting and deteriorating flesh that self heals quickly upon being struck, healing it for 1/2 S-rank damage each post. The creature’s eyes are like the void and the dragon extremely strong. Despite the fact that it has no scales, its defenses are still very high. The dragon has an arsenal of attacks ranging from powerful magic to its physical attacks.
- Drakaaz Attacks:
Claw: A massive claw is swung at you, dealing S rank damage to you.
Tail: Its tail lashes like a whip, swinging at all wizards dealing S rank damage to each.
Petrify: Looking into its void-like eyes causes any wizard to be instantly frozen still for a post. Only H-rank wizards and above are unaffected.
Wing attack: The dragon has lost its ability to fly, but it is able to strike with its wings, dealing 1/2 S-rank damage to all wizards and knocking them back, disrupting their attacks.
Decaying Roar: A powerful roar that decays the flesh of anyone caught in its blast, dealing S rank damage for three turns.
Acid: Instead of saliva, the dragon creates acid which it can launch at wizards. It either deals rank S damage or destroys any magical protection a wizard has in place, as well as destroying traps and other spells it comes into contact with.
Being a dragon, it’s very hard to kill, and thus it takes 15x S-rank attacks to kill.
Note: Aarazath is able to use as many spells as he likes each post.- UNDEAD WARRIOR INFO: Undead Warriors are far from zombies.
