Name: Clarity
Rank: Legendary(+)
Type: Aether-Based Cardiac Function
Description:
Aether is known under many names including quinta essentia, the fifth element, and others, but the specific form of it Althea possesses is simply dubbed "Clarity". Aether is the emptiness that fills in the space beyond the heavens, the void that makes up the clear blue sky. But the thing that seperates Clarity and typical aether is the aspect of "hunger" inside that emptiness, the desire to fill itself up. But due to its nature that never goes anywhere, simply continuing on consuming in an endless cycle of overwhelming desire met by no relief. Technically, it works as Althea's heart, providing her with human emotions and understanding, but the fact that it is essentially filled with "nothing" is a bit contradictory. In the same way that there is a way to refer to nothing when it is in fact nothing to refer to in the first place. This along with the natural disconnect between Althea's heart and Althea's soul that comes with that fact that Clarity was not originally hers and she never had a heart in the first place, so Clarity is prone to "malfunctioning". This at times means it causes its own hunger to completely invade her mind and possibly override her actual will. At times it throws Althea into shifted states of mind without her even knowing anything was off in the first place. Parts of her being can even be altered without her knowledge in hopes to better accommodate the heart, doing so by making her more similar to Clarity's original owner.
- Appearance:
- A+:
- Konukame - A+ - Aether is often referred to as the fifth element or "void", acting as the empty expanse in the heavens. Because it is essentially the very core of Althea's existence, she can channel the element, granting her an 90% boost to her physical damage.
- S:
- Amagumori - S - Clarity can be seen as a completely different entity to Althea, producing emotions despite its emptiness. And yet an entirely normal human was born with such a heart until they passed it onto her. They could perfectly utilize the strengths of Clarity while almost completely ignoring the downsides, but Althea only inherited portion of this. Still, Clarity grants a 5% HP and MP regen each turn.
