As, by pure coincidence, I am also your Guild Master, I will be the one to give you your exam, which will have to consist of a thread spanning at least 1,000 words. That said, you will get to choose between the two following prompts:
The guild has received an interesting offer from within Fiore itself, the Mayor of Cedar within the country seeking to use the guild's services in order to "clean up" his streets and share several contracts with Dies Irae, which, of course, could aid the guild funds substantially. The Mayor, however, has very recently gotten wind of some of the more bad press and untruthful rumors that exist about the guild, deciding to rescind his offer due to PR concerns. It seems that the private army of the Magic Council is not looked on fondly by some politicians in Fiore, after all, and these voices are set on making their disagreement especially clear. This is where you come into play: You receive a letter from Ambassador Johann and are tasked with traveling to this town in Fiore to convince the Mayor that Dies Irae is a strictly reputable organization, by entirely diplomatic means only, of course. This task will require rhetorical skill as well as charisma, as the Mayor of Cedar seems hesitant. Do your research about the political culture of Fiore and deliver some convincing arguments that will ensure the guild's cooperation with Cedar in the future.
