“So you guys do missions… for money? SIGN ME UP.”

Mysia spoke. It was the evening of Thursday. It was a bit humid, nothing really interesting or out of the ordinary. Everything was going normal as usual. But he overheard two mages speak about doing missions and whatnot which caught his interest. Since little Mysia was broke he needed money quite bad. But he wondered, where would he find these missions and how would he do them? He was only seven, he didn’t know much about the world thus felt a little disorientated. He wondered what kind of mission he was capable of doing.

Something simple to start out with or something borderline dangerous? Of course, the inner rampaging rebel chose for the latter. After all, without adrenaline involved in the game it wouldn’t be fun now would it be? He shook his mind a little and went on his merry way to the closest guild that was nearby. He was affiliated with Savage Skull because he slept there once. People tried to eat his body which was not so nice but it was still a pretty cool place. After arriving to Savage Skull he would look around, his curious eyes eying the board full of posters.  Maybe he ought to bring a companion with him?

Mysia wasn't the only small child that was located in the guild of Savage SKull that day. Though he was the only male child. Sitting on some steps was a young girl with tatty black hair, tatty red dress and the guild tattoo of savage skull tatooed onto her left eye. Quite a strange looked individual. Her skin was grey and seemingly lifeless. Who was this girl? Her name was Sinali Vedan, a girl quite often known simply by the name Sin. Both a nickname and a description. She rose to her feet slowly and then with a strange swaying motion began to approach the mission boards. She'd been sitting on the stairs for a while and had decided that she was bored. The way to cure this boredom was to go on a mission of some kind. She stared at the board with her one good eye considering which job to take. There had to be one job that would suit her.

"There are too many to choose from." she said sulkily and then sighed deeply. Her eyes blinked. "Too many problems...too many living people." There were many jobs, but many of them were out of her range and whilst she was insane by even this guild's standard she was not stupid. She couldn't die easily, but that didn't mean she wanted to be ripped into pieces...again. So few of these missions seemed suitable for a D rank mage like herself. At least not with her magic. Her magic was interesting, but at her current level of mastery it wasn't yet suitable. There had to be something though. Somewhere.

Chiyo chi was sitting in her room as she had received some weird package. She wondered who even had known that she was living here. It was only ben two days ago that she joined this place. She hated humans to the bone but she was yet to inexperienced to be alone yet. in the mean time she could search for allies to do her bidding. Plus there were some people in this place that weren’t really human either. She could be friends with those she didn’t really mind non humans. Well anyway back to the matter at hand. She had opened the package and it was a lacrima and a journal of some person in it. the information on the lacrima was more confusing than really helpful. Tough there were some interesting aspects to it. she needed to find more about this journal. But she wouldn’t be able to do it alone. If a full squad of rune knights got killed. They were humans yeah but she wasn’t stupid to dismiss there power.
She grabbed her coat from her chair and put it over her shoulders. Time to go for a small walk I need to think about this.

She opened the door and walked out toward the main hall. Savage skull mages walked around her as nearly half of the guild got sick after a guy touched her on her first day here. That was pretty funny tough. She had a good laugh when she saw them puke and squirm from pain in there bellys. Ah pain on humans so exiting. She was standing in the middle of the hall when she looked around and saw the only two other child’s of the guild standing near the job board. Heh so theyre searching for a job hu this is the perfect time to use them to solve this package problem. In the mean time I can look if there good enough to be my allies. Especially that undead girl. Chiyo smiled for a split second and then became a more worried and sad face as she walked toward the two persons.

Power once again surged through the halls of Savage Skull, yet it was different then before. It's former darkness that subjugated them under the rule of an entity was long gone. Leaving nothing but the emptiness of darkness behind. But inside that emptiness, darkness reshaped itself. It shouldn't be such a surprise off course, after all the legal mages merely cut off the top from a plant. A foolish mistake, yet now the darkness had taken root once again it attracted even the ones that deemed most innocent.

Three files on his desk revealed the information his Keeper had gathered, on the three newest addition to the guild. But the the files contents revealed a surprising twist. For most people figured that only mages that had matured enough would join such a guild, and didn't think that the innocence that was called children would even join the ever growing shadow.
For Frederick these children were the perfect asset, they were young and their mind was already corrupted. And he knew that this place would cast shackles upon them that would never release them.

Knowing all this Frederick decided it was time to see these children for himself. He shove back his chair and stood up. And with a last glance on the files he stepped out of his office and walked towards the inner hall of the guild. A place that laid underneath the entrance hall, and was probably the only place in the entire building that could be considered a meeting place for the mages. Still it wasn't a warm place like the halls of Fairy Tail or Blue Pegasus. It was just as shrouded in darkness like the rest of these empty halls.

Mysa tilted his head to someone else who was standing quite close to him. It appeared to be a female. Her skin was gray, which was quite interesting. Maybe she was just pale like that? Mysia wouldn’t know. But she seemed somewhat cool. Maybe she thought great of Satan like him? He smiled a little and looked at her a little, a bit longer ten unusual which might make Mysia look like a creep but it would be unlikely as he was like seven. He wondered, maybe she’d be interested into joining the mission he had in mind? It was a strange one, about some kind of box  and whatnot. He looked at the description, he needed another mage anyway.

“Hey, I’m uhm, Mysia. Would you be interested into joining this mission with me?”

The little Mysia said, a few inches shorter than her. He stuck out his hand towards her, with the briefing of the mission on it. Apparently a package should have arrived to the guild for them, but he didn’t exactly know where it was. He felt like yelling if anyone got a mysterious package but somehow felt too shy to do that. Instead he just looked around, wondering if someone already had gotten it. Mysia shifted his attention to another child who was walking towards him and the person next to him; he eyed here a little and looked into her eyes. She had a special kind of sparkle in her eyes.

It seemed that she was not the only child looking for a mission as soon after she was approached by a young boy who she didn't know. He offered her a mission slip and asked if she wanted to join him on it. The mission mentioned something about dead rune knights, a mysterious package and other stuff of that nature. Something had killed an entire group of rune knights. If only to congratulate the thing that killed them she wanted to go. It sounded like fun too. Killing a mass murdering creature sounded fun. That was, if it was was a creature anyway. It had definitely peaked her curiosity. It was then they were approached by another child, female like her, but she didn't seem to be human. Her ears were those of animals. She'd seen this one about, but not too much. If she remembered rightly this one caused some people to fall ill. Perhaps she was a spirit of some kind. She hadn't tried to kill Sinali yet nor had a go at her for her methods so for now she would let her live. Though she'd die eventually unless she was a spirit or demon or something.

"It sounds like fun and it looks like Chiyo has the package...so we can all go together. YAY" she said with a sweet grin on her face that just made her look so innocent. She looked like a match girl or something of those lines. It was then that they were approached by another individual. This one was an adult. A truly dark being known as Frederik. He was the guild master. He was alive, but his aura was so dark she didn't see him as such. She felt a strange connection to him just like she did to the guild itself. "Hey Mister Fredewick." she said with a slight innocent lisp.

“aww you guys already know of this strange packet. Well let’s do this then we can defeat this thing that killed all those persons. That must make us stronger then we already are.”, she said to the two others. She wondered who put up the job if she received a package. Maybe the job giver did it because he knew it was a dangerous job. Well it didn’t matter they were going with her so she reached the goal she wanted. Now they could leave and start this job of theirs. She suddenly could feel a powerful source of magic behind her and she turned around. It was the guild master. The strongest man of the guild. Lord Frederick was his name. she had met him when she joined the guild. He was pretty interesting. She could learn a lot of him while she was here. That was one of the reasons she joined here. Tough she would never call him master. Nobody but the fallen ones were higher than her.

“Oh hai Frederick. What is the pleasure of your presence here. I don’t think a job like this is suited for a strong person like you. ”, she teasingly said trying to let him slip out what he was doing here and why he wanted this job. Chiyo always used tricks to know what she wanted. In the mean time she walked to the zombie girl and put her arms around her shoulder.

“And hai girl we girls should stick together on this job. As your also the only one I can touch without really making them sick”, she said while putting up a smile. She didn’t really know how the girl would react. That’s also why she was doing this she wanted to know what buttons she needed to press to make her friend.

As Frederick reached the inner hall, he saw the three children standing in front of the request board. Each one of them being a peculiar individual. Two of them acknowledged his presence, and greeted them in a way that he wasn't used to.
But that was to be as expected from children, after all they didn't had the chance to indulge themselves into whatever adulthood had in stock for them. If they reached that stage of their life off course, there was a high chance some of these children wouldn't gain adulthood at all. After this guild wasn't a safe place.

But when Frederick looked at the children, he could see that they were different. And didn't belong to the group of senseless excuses for human beings people would call kids. And as Frederick gazed upon them a bit longer he figured that one of these children wouldn't reach adulthood at all, probably because she wasn't really alive to begin with.

'The job probably isn't suited for me, but unlike the former master. I have an interest in what my assets are capable of. Instead of just sending them out like pawns, so i am coming along on whatever endeavor your going on. And see personally what for value you have'

    -------------------------------------

Mysia saw the guild master approach as he eyed him with curious eyes. He wondered what kind of man could lead people such as these, such as himself? Maybe the people in this guild led themselves, and this man was just a spokesman for them? It was all a mystery for Mysia. Mysia heard the grey female talk as he nodded. Looking around as he saw the person with the box standing in the guild he would walk over her. But she seemed quite odd, had that special kind of sparkle in her eye. Mysia wouldn't want to get close to that person, he figured. Though it had been either seemed that he was being ignored or that he was mistaken as a female? Mysia slightly raised his eyebrow a little. It would seem like the guild master would join them in this mission.

Mysia curiously grabbed the box and put it on a big round table. He put the note of the mission next to the big box. On the front of the big box the letters SM was written. He opened the box and saw a shining thing inside of it and a book along with it. He grabbed the book and dusted it off, it had a hard-cover. He wanted to open it but needed to know whether or not a curse had been cast upon it. Though the boy was gutsy, he opened the book. It was old, as if it had been centuries since someone had touched it. Mysia looked through it. His eyes glinting a little red, hinting towards the evil in him that was analyzing the log a little since Mysia would be too unintelligent to understand it himself.

    "It's a log... a diary."

"Do you know what this is, Master Frederik?"

Mysia said, taking the lacrima as he would stick his hand out towards Frederick, offering him the lacrima for him to inspect

Initially Sinali froze when the girl touched her and then decided to see if she could creep everyone out there and her head rotated a full 450 degrees ending up facing the girl. The sound of the rotating was a sickening crack, but it showed no pain on Sinali's face. There was a strange grin on her face. She waited briefly to see the reaction's but was distracted by Lord Frederik's words. It seemed he was coming on the mission, but not as assistance. No, instead he would be there to watch and observe them. To see how useful they could be to his guild. It was an interesting concept. "Does that mean we have to split the reward money with you Mister Fredwick?" she said, again with the innocent lisp. If he was coming, but not to help then it seemed odd and unfair that he would get a share. She may have been undead, which was not normal, but she was still a child in her mindset, mostly. So she had her periods of selfishness and stroppiness. Though she did want the extinction of all life, but every child had to have big dreams didn't they? She looked over at Mysia who was holding out the lacrima. She didn't care about the details. She just wanted to get going so she could kill some stuff. She enjoyed killing. Was that so wrong? "Shall we get going"

Chiyo looked at the zombie girl as suddenly her head started to make a long 450 degree spin and stopped right in front of her. Very interesting ability I wonder if her head is still attached to her spine if she can move it like that. And if it isn’t how do her nerves work. Well that were all questions that flew through her head but lord Frederick’s voice broke that thought train when he arrived. It seemed he wanted to test their skills. She just smiled she would show this human how a god fought. She know he was still way above her level but none the less she would try to impress the humans like she was supposed to do. It seems the boy was in the meantime investigating the stuff in the box. And apparently didn’t know what a Audio lacrima was. Ah humans where so stupid at times.

“That’s an Audio lacrima it records voice and you can listen to it after wards. It were some rune knight speaking of his trip through the woods and be slowly tear apart by some beast or strange creature. It wouldn’t surprise me if they just ran into a big bear and made a big fuzz about it.”, she said as she made a bit bored look on her face. She didn’t realy liked to explain things to humans. Oh well they did need the explanation to function good.

“I am on the same page as zombie girl let’s move out and find this creature.”
, she said as she let loose of her and putted her cape good again. She was getting bored of these introductions.

The voices that were being replayed from the lacrima, were nothing then the Rune Knights reporting their findings. Which was rather dull for they just reported their daily routine. Until the monotone report suddenly turned into shouting and eventually screams of agony.
As Frederick listened he knew one thing for sure, this was not your common wood creature. Because those couldn't take out an entire squad of Rune Knights.

'Don't underestimate the Rune Knights girl, they may be fools. But they are organized and effective. So I highly doubt that this was just a mere bear. Anyway, it seems that all of you are eager enough. So let's see this creature for ourselves.'

This was going to be interesting, because each of these children had an intense craving to kill something. And were all impatiently waiting to test their skills against an unknown opponent. And why let them wait any longer. With that last thought Frederick turned around and started to walk away.
'Come, let's find us that creature'

    Mysia was looking into the book. He grabbed his glasses and put them on, since most of the stuff what was written in the book was written in thick cursive, which was hard to make out what it meant without using his glasses. He shifted his attention to the gray girl who spun her head; did she do this to show-off or something? -- Though something in Mysia’s mind had twisted. The pseudo-bits-of satan inside of him spoke out whilst he was facing the gray girl. He spoke with a very unclear tone;

    “Դու իմ ծառան.”

He spoke in a dead language, pondering whether she’d respond to it or not. He then shifted his attention back to the book as he read bits of it. He didn’t care much about the money, rather the mystery behind it seemed more intriguing to him, but the money wouldn’t be too bad since he was quite poor. He listened to the female who supposedly knew more about it. The lacrima was some sort of recording. He listened to Master Frederick, he humbly agreed. He grabbed the book and put it inside his coat, Mysia then would tie his shoe laces a bit tighter.

    “Let’s go then?”

He proposed as he followed Frederik. This man in front of him was quite tall. Mysia being only four feet tall this man had to be around six or so. Mysia got out of the guild building and started to walk towards the mentioned location that was written in the mission description

In response to her head turning she gained a strange response in a language that felt familiar, but she didn't know from Mysia. She also gained an inquisitive look from Chiyo. She had expected a bigger response, but it did not matter. She didn't care for the opinions of the living. The four of them began to leave. It was a strange sight. Each of the children was strange in appearance in their own way and they were followed by a man who was nearly always cloaked and full of mystery. To a casual glance it might look like a father out with his children, but no it was more sinister than that. The three children were at that age where they only had one thing on their mind: homicide. Of course, they weren't necessarily going to kill humans, but still they were going to kill or at least try to.

"Can we keep the beast as a pet Mister Fredwick?" Sinali asked as they walked towards the location of the mission. The thought of a killer beast as a pet that could wipe out groups of rune knights was very tempting. Then again anything that caused lots of death was good in her opinion. She had heard of Etherion and kind of wanted to get it so she could use it on the living people and turn the world into a playground of the dead. Of course, she'd need to corrupt it in order to turn people into undead, but it still sounded cool to do. "If not...can we have it for dinner?" Her words sounded quite innocent, but they still had the dark tones to them. She was unarmed, barefooted, clothed in rags and yet she was happy. She was about to go kill some things or so she thought.

Chiyo waved her cape behind her and started to walk forward. To follow the master to the place of the beast. It seems lord Frederick had some kind of respect for the rune knights. Like two sworn life time enemies have for one of each other. She just shrugged it didn’t really matter to her. If she couldn’t beat it now she would beat it later when she was stronger. A god had all the time of the world to do stuff. While humans whiter away Chiyo kept living and healed from any cut in a couple of seconds. The bad part of this was that she kept decaying living beings around her. Literally everything started to die if she stayed long enough in a place. Only humans and bigger animals could withstand it. She grabbed the zombie girls hand again and started to walk off. Like sisters she thought. She still didn’t know what she liked and how she would get her “friendship” in her power. But what was sure is that she liked killing. She giggled a moment when the girl asked if they could keep it as a pet.

“A pet like that would be fun. But who knows maybe it’s a ghost or something. Haha that would be a fun pet tough. Not eatable tough. I am chiyo chi by the way what are all of your names.”, she said while she laughed with the funny remarks of the zombie girl. She wondered what her name was. The boy was saying something in a language she never had heard before. Hmm strange boy maybe he was usable before he would die in a couple of years. She shrugged humans didn’t interest her.

It was truly something you expected to hear from a child, but the fact that she was undead. And that her innocence appeared so real made the sentence so scary. To keep it as a pet, how ominous.

Luckily for Frederick and his party of young children, the location of their job was the Spooky Forest. A vast woodland that laid in front of the guild. And from the guild it self it look like an infinite sea of trees. That occasionally switched into a marsh area.
It almost looked serene and peaceful, but nothing was less true. The forest held some of the most vicious creatures known to men. Some of them still unknown.
And it was a dark place, with and suffocating atmosphere. And that was only the woodlands, the marshes itself were even far more dangerous. A tremendous living trap filled with some horrifying creatures. Just waiting for those who ventured to deep.

    -------------------------------------

Mysia slightly raised an eyebrow as his guildmates begun to talk. They certainly were an odd bunch. There was a man with a cloak, a half-zombie-like girl. A seven year old with a held-back attitude and a person close to what an alien would be. He didn’t respond on the savagery though. He was rather analyzing the book, inspecting how old it was whilst analyzing the handwriting. They wanted to keep a beast? Eat it? Why wouldn’t they offer such gift to gods, draw a pentagram around it with it’s own blood and maybe the blood of a virgin. Such would please father, but ohwell. He better kept shut at what his thoughts were on some subjects. Otherwise his guild mates might think less or higher of him whilst he wanted to be somewhat neutral.

Mysia wouldn’t eat a beast. He would rather feast on a cow or a chicken. Those taste a wee bit better. Mysia squinted his eyes towards a random direction as the lot was travelling through it. Something was there. Mysia could feel it. He had an eye for occult. Though that feeling faded away. It would then seem that a cackle was made from a far distance, though Mysia rather had been focusing on the tree in front of him. It was being… sawn? Mysia stepped backwards though he had not chosen to alert his allies of the discoveries he had made, he wondered how they would respond.

The four of them entered the forest, which was conveniently just outside of the guild home. Chiyo seemed to be the only one who liked the idea of her keeping the beast as a pet. The other two hadn't really commented on it at all. If it was a ghost it likely wasn't edible, but it could be tameable. It sounded like the ideal pet to her. As they entered the woods a strange wind began to blow. It was as if entering the woods with the lacrima and book had caused something to be triggered. It was odd, but not scary.

What was scary, to some degree, was the tree that almost fell on her. She glanced about, then her head twisted right round suddenly as she was sent flying into a tree. Something was around, but she couldn't see it. She sniffed the air. There was no scent, but there was a slight chill. As if...as if..."There is a spirit around." she said just loud enough for the others to hear. She caught a rock as it was launched towards her and threw it away. There had to be a way to get rid of it. As an undead she should know quite a bit about spirits and other dead creatures, but how did you hit a ghost? Maybe if they wore it out enough? That seemed one way, or perhaps if they just showed they weren't afraid. "Well mister ghost are you done playing?"

Chiyo walked through the forest that was really quiet. Well it seemed a bit too quiet for a forest. It was normally filled with small noises of animals and the wind. But it seemed even the wind was gone. Everything was so strange that it made chiyo exited for this job. It seemed it wouldn’t  be too boring. As she just thought that the girl next to her got ripped away and slammed against a tree. Dam that seemed painful. It seemed something was attacking them. A tree suddenly started to break and was coming down on chiyu. She touched her head and jumped up in the air. With her magic she pushed herself away from her location and the tree crashed down on her location. That was to close if that would have hit her she sure would have felt a lot of pain. How the heck were they supposed to fight ghosts. She didn’t know how she would be able to hit something she can’t see. Her esper magic could probably scare them to but she first had to see them.

“somebody find a way to make them visible then I can probably take it out.”, chiyo shouted to the three other people that were here. They needed to take the thing out or scare it away. As you can’t really kill something that’s already dead. She never thought such a strange job would be her first one.

Lord Frederick and the three children ventured through the spooky forest, until something finally had noticed their presence. Some sort of spiritual entity that didn't reveal itself.
'Quite interesting, now let's see how well you three can handle this situation.'

It was an opportunity for them to show off their fields of expertise, a chance to impress him. Not that Frederick really needed to know how powerful they were. But it was more about how far they would go to kill this entity. Or to be more precisely, who would kill this entity.

He took a few steps back, and became vaguely visible when he stood underneath the shadow of a tree. A good place where he could keep an eye on them, and a good position to strike if needed. Well to be more precisely, when all three of them were in peril.

Mysia adjusted his reading glasses mildly. He would be looking around. It seemed as if something or rather someone was toying with them. Was it Master Frederik? He had his strong suspicious set on Frederick but kept watching the environment nonetheless. He knew physical combat would have no sense against other wordly beings that are most likely incorporeal.

“Stop. Violence won’t have any effort. We have to beat these beasts with our wit.”

Mysia spoke out. But just as he said it a stone rock flew past his head towards the zombie girl. It wasn’t going very fast which led Mysia to believe that the spooky occurrence that was happening around them had no hostile intentions but rather wanted to play. He stroked his chin again as he looked around. If one is a ghost one should probably be very lonely. Just as other animals play around with each other what humans consider a little odd so would ghosts to his assumption. And then a monster like animal jumped behind him, about two meters away from Mysia. The tree that was moving had crashed down next to him.

Which was convenient for the monster because he was on the opposite direction. He saw Master Frederick fade away, he knew more than they did probably. It had then occurred to Mysia. It most likely was an illusion. His rose toxin had spread through the area already and there were odd details about the landscape. Like moss on one side of the road, whilst the wind blew more daftly in the opposite way.

It was true that physicality likely wouldn't do much, but she had no other means of fighting. All of her attacks were physical, very much so. "Mr. Spirit...we mean you no harm. I love spirits." she said truthfully in her child like innocence. "Could you please let us go on our way?" Everything seemed to go quiet for a moment, the entire forest seemed to fall still. Then a mighty gale seemed to blow through the woods and Sinali was launched upwards into a tree snapping through several branches before she came crashing to the ground. It hurt like hell, but pain was part of her magic. As she rose to her feet it was clear her arm was broken. "Mr. Spirit, no matter how much you break me I won't stop going. You can't kill what is already dead can you?" As these words were spoken the forest seemed to sigh and then rocks began to fly at Mysia and Chiyo. It seemed it had gotten bored of attacking Sinali because it couldn't get much of a response from her. So now it was focusing on the other two. Sinali didn't mind. She didn't like to be broken. It slowed her down and took a while to deal with. She was sure her magic could help her heal quicker, but she hadn't worked out how yet. She stood by a tree and watched to see how the others would deal with it. Though she was interested in something. The attack of the spirit and the break of her arm felt somehow false. As if it wasn't real. She could feel the pain and see it, but something was telling her that the situation was off. It was very strange.

Chiyo jumped out of the way as a howl went through the forest as a terrifying flood. It seemed sinali was the target as she was thrown up into the air. This ghost was not ready to stop teasing them. But where the others couldn’t do anything chiyo had an advantage. Her magic was made to attack the mind and spirits still needed to think to act. So there nonphysical body was nothing against her psychic attacks. She was dodging the rocks and tried to figure out the source of them. It seemed they all came from the trees in front of them if she looked at the impact holes of the rocks into the bark of the trees. We’ll let the others watch as she would show how a god acted. She threw her hands in the air and a blade started to form in front of her it was a long blade and ready to strike at the ghost. She shot it out as she let go of it in her mind. The blade flew right at the ghost but just when it was about to hit it was thrown away. A force pushed chiyo right against the ground as it was mad that it nearly got hit.
