Nicknames: The Forest Guardian
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Birthday: 4/24
Race: ???
Ethnicity: ???
Sexuality: ???
Occupation: Working Sorcerer
Special Characteristics:
* Forest Guardian; The Guardian is tasked with helping to preserve the life of the Phoenix Forest. He has the special ability to communicate with plants, animals, and nature spirits, and can perceive their emotions.
* His Shawl/Hood; The Guardian's only tangible remnant of the burned down Phoenix Forest is his hood, which he had possessed ever since he was little. It was the hood he was wrapped in as a child and the hood he has continued to wear and use as a veil when talking to people. He often pulls his hood over his head to hide his blushing face when talking to people or is otherwise self-conscious.
Personality
shy;
The Guardian is an extremely shy man. He is so incredibly timid that he avoids looking people in the eye when he's talking to them and often tries to hide his face or look away when people give him any sort of attention. He is soft-spoken and either speaks in a few words or rambles.
introverted;
The Guardian doesn't like attention being drawn to him, or any at all for that matter. Unless he's in the company of plants or animals, he usually prefers to be alone and in his own company. He tries to avoid people when he can and keeps conversation to a minimum, often because he doesn't have enough confidence to engage with others comfortably.
socially awkward;
The Guardian is extremely socially awkward. He has trouble talking and interacting with men, women, and children alike. When he speaks to them, he has a notable stutter and his face will often light up in a blush. Being able to hold a consistent and normal conversation with anyone other than plants and animals is a great challenge to The Guardian.
soft-hearted;
Kind, tender, and compassionate, The Guardian is a very soft-hearted man. Because of his life within the forest, he is also incredibly empathetic. While he is a man of few words, The Guardian lets his actions speak louder than his words. He's selfless and puts other lives before his own, exemplifying his own sort of bravery.
thoughtful;
The Guardian is keen on perceiving others' emotions. Although he may say something cold or otherwise unfriendly without thought, he will often try to make things right with this characteristic. He considers others' feelings when making decisions, and often caters to others' circumstances.
aloof;
Because of his difficulty interacting with people, The Guardian isn't overly friendly. He keeps to himself and when he is unable to do that, he can come off as dismissive, cold, and even "tsundere-like."
enigmatic;
The Guardian's history has often been kept a mystery. Because of this, The Guardian can come off as enigmatic and elusive, especially considering how soft-spoken he is.
self-deprecating;
The Guardian is incredibly critical of himself and his mistakes. When he thinks he has made a mistake, has failed in something, or feels somewhat insulted, there is a large chance that he will take it to heart, which is oftentimes humorous. The Guardian obviously lacks a lot of self-confidence and self-esteem because of this and is terribly self-conscious.
principled;
Despite lacking confidence and being soft-spoken, The Guardian has a strong sense of justice and morality. He believes in right and wrong and will often go beyond his shy character to exhume bravery to ensure lives are protected.
About
Loves:
* Cake; Growing up in a forest, The Guardian has never been exposed to freshly baked cake... until now. Now, it is his favorite thing in the world and is easily swayed and persuaded with it as a reward.
* Nature; Raised to protect it, The Guardian treasures nature like something precious. He loves its sights, smells, and the conversations he has with nature.
* Life; Similar to nature, The Guardian treasures its inhabitants. Plants and animals are what The Guardian considers them to be his friends and family. But not just animals, he treasures all life.
Likes:
* Children; The Guardian really likes human children, but unfortunately, they never like him. In fact, they tend to make fun of him, which doesn't help with his lack of self-esteem.
* Music; The Guardian grew up without much music, so he enjoys listening when he can. He is especially partial to violins and pianos.
* Sweets; If cake wasn't enough, The Guardian has a surprisingly large sweet tooth.
* Fiorean Culture; Living alone with the forest and its animals for most of his life, The Guardian is enamored with not just human culture, but Fiorean culture.
Hates:
* Poachers/Bandits; For all of his life, The Guardian has fended the forest from poachers and bandits who mean to do harm to the forest or others beyond it. As a result, he has grown to hate those who mean to harm nature or steal from it.
* Murderers; A natural result of his love of life, The Guardian resents those who take it mercilessly.
* His Lack of Confidence; The Guardian wants to be able to make friends and to get along with people, but his shyness often gets in the way of that.
Dislikes:
* Coffee;
* Spicy Food; Fane holds a strong displeasure for boredom and always looks for somewhere to go or something to do.
* Demonic Beasts; Beasts born from demons or enraged with demonic power often fall short of friendship with The Guardian. He doesn't have a pleasant history with them.
Motivations:
* To Talk to People; After living with plants, animals, and nature spirits for most of his life, The Guardian is socially inept. One of his greatest desires to to be able to talk to people and to make friends.
* To Restore the Phoenix Forest; After bandits burn down the Phoenix Forest, The Guardian's greatest desire is to restore it somehow, someday.
* To Preserve Life; With or without the forest, The Guardian still takes it upon himself to uphold the same standards of life and taking it out in society. As a result, he tries to assist and protect humans, plants, and animals alike.
Fears:
* The Destruction of Nature/Life; Although happening already, The Guardian had feared of this for all of his life. Even now, he still dreads the thought of the wrongful death of others or nature.
* Women; Even though he's unable to converse or interact with men and children already, women seem to be especially, insurmountably difficult for her to interact with. In fact, he is so terribly shy and anxious around them that he has even grown to be wary of their touch.
* Being Abandoned (again); For whatever reason, his human father had been murdered by bandits, and his human mother had left him in the Phoenix Forest to protect him when he was five years old. Although he knew it was for his protection, The Guardian has grown to fear being abandoned rather than being alone.
