Description & Appearance:
For as long as anyone remembers there has been folklore within the desert kingdoms that has been passed from generation to generation by word of mouth. It tells a tale about a goddess that fell in love with a mortal man. This, of course, was a huge taboo within the realms of the divine. Mortals were often selfish creatures that cared only for themselves. Apart from that they were fragile and died in the blink of an eye to a deity. Still the heart wanted what it wanted, she watched the man and even saved his life a few times by doing things that she shouldn't have. It eventually was noticed by the other deities and she was told to choose which world she would walk in.
The high god told her if she turned her back on her family for the mortal there would be no returning for her, she would be branded a traitor. He did say that he would make sure the two would meet if the mortal was chosen, but, it would be as strangers and she might not like what she seen without her rose tinted glasses. She was advised to choose wisely because there would be no second chance. Over several weeks she pondered her decision but finally decided she wanted to live as a mortal with him. The high god gave her a saddened look when he learned of her decision, but nodded before giving her what she wanted. He even kept to his word and made sure the two met, it turned out the male was the son of a noble. Quickly they fell in love and started courting.
It was then that the happy part of the story ended, the kindness that she had seen as a goddess and at the beginning of their relationship was only a mask that the man showed the outside world. He was a darkened soul, twisted with hatred and the selfish need for power. One night a few months later she overheard her love making plans to sell her to another man to gain more power and wealth within the kingdoms. Her heart finally broke fully and she understood what the high god finally meant, she realised it wasn't worth everything she had given up. She cried her first three tears, the first for the loss of her family, the second for her loss of innocence, as she had been a fool, the third was her selfish wish to return home. That night she ran from her mansion home into the desert praying to her family for their help.
Her prayers fell on deaf ears until she fell to exhaustion near the middle of the desert when she once more saw the high god. "Most mortals are such selfish creatures, they wear masks that can hide any blemish of their soul. We could have told you sooner, but I believed you needed to see this first hand to understand I didn't give my warning lightly.", he said kneeling before the dying woman. "Your wish to protect your ideals will live on after your body has passed and I am here to finally bring you home.", he explained. It was then she cried her fourth tear, a tear of joy and hope, that even in the darkest of times a person should try and defy their fate and look for the light. Within the lore it said she died that night but what was left behind was a gold and silver pendant that looked like fire, within the pendant was the four jewelled tears the goddess had cried during her time as a mortal woman.

The elemental heart was once an extremely powerful artifact. It was said to be have been taken from a realm where all the elements met. The adventurer in question took a chip of the crystallized elements and returned to Earthland where he made it into a necklace in the hopes to gain some of the power of the elements themselves. Over many years he won many journeys and found lost treasures by sheer luck, went to war and survived injuries no normal person should be able to. What the adventurer didn't realize was his abuse of this power would soon drain it to the point of breaking.
