Completed Tainting The Holy Water (C/Solo)

Post by Louie 11th April 2020, 3:00 pm

After fifteen minutes of walking, Louie and his chauffeur, William, arrived at the Holy Church of Cedar. The young multi-millionaire was unaware of the religion they followed, and didn't care to know either. He wasn't there to worship or even find interest in whatever God they did prostrate themselves in front of, here was there for one thing and one thing only.

The large, grand doors pushed open in slow, heavy motion. He could see a myriad of colors filling the church as the light shone through the painted glass, depicting murals of some Holy events. It was a dim and colorful space, rows of benches on either side of the church, a large pedestal in the front, and an enormous statue that stretched to the ceiling bringing it all together in worship. Seeing the statue reminded Louie of Napedia, and as he walked down the aisle, he recited a passage from the Holy Text of his country.

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Louie recited aloud as he stepped towards the pedestal, looking around the church, "It's a passage from my country's religious text. Charming, isn't it?" he looked at William, but he didn't respond. "I think it's utter poubelle. There is no God in that country, and if there ever was, they're long gone. No God has ever been at my side, and they never will. It has been me and me alone who has achieved such greatness. I was born with talents no man or beast could ever hope to surpass, and I have gifts that will allow me to soar leagues beyond the greatest in every art and practice..." There was a sound of deep contempt in Louie's voice, a sound of anger and betrayal. He thought of the abuse and painful onlooking of Napedia, flipping through their awful faces in his head like a slideshow, each one turning his face more malicious than before. As he walked to the pedestal, a large, transparent bottle was seen placed before the statue like an offering. Filling it was was what looked like cloudy water, sparkling and pristine. It was the Holy Water he had been seeking, the entire reason he came to Cedar Town to begin with. When he was within arm's length of it, he stared at it with his hard eyes, reaching out to grab it. "This is my destiny. I will pluck every flower out of any God's garden to adorn my pedestal—"

    Crash!

"Stop it, sorcerer! Stop, I say!" an old man dressed in white, religious garments crashed through the doors with stoic, regal fury. Even though his wrinkled visage was weak and worn, rage filled his chestnut eyes. "You're that man from earlier—the one who maimed that crier and murdered all five of his men in cold blood! What business have you here in this holy place of worship?!" the priest demanded, boys of the Church revealing themselves from the shadows in their dark robes.

Louie only peered over his shoulder to look at the group of men and women, surrounding their priest with their arms tucked into their robes, and smiled. The blonde held up the jug of Holy Water and swished it around in his hand. "Do you all know what this is?"

The Head Priest widened his eyes in horror, some of the altar boys and girls gasping quietly. "Our Holy Water!—"

Louie's eyes narrowed when he interrupted them. "My Holy Water." he hissed in a low, prideful voice, "I heard that if a mortal infuses their blood and mana into the Holy Water of God, a new power will awaken within their souls." Louie paused, looking at the jug and then smirking, "Of course, I no longer have a soul after giving it to Lady Twilight—that crazy bxtch. But there's no harm in trying, oui?"

After that, Louie bit the center of his thumb so that a small amount of blood began to collect on his skin, letting the droplets falling into the glass jug. At first, the blood only slowly dispersed into the water, and then began to turn it all into crimson. By the time it finished tainting, it looked like a fine red wine, thin and mysterious.

The Head Priest's face screwed into a nasty glare, shouting at Louie. "Bastard! Stop him, fools! Don't let him drink that water!" he commanded his lower-priests and altar boys, all of them reciting some sort of hymn. As they finished their chants, a bright and holy light began to rise from a magic circle, all beginning to aim at Louie. "Cease this instant, sorcerer! Repent for your sins!"

At that instant, beams over holy light fired at Louie, illuminating the gloomy church with their radiance. But before they could graze Louie's unblemished flesh, he held up his palm and shielded himself with a barrier of his brilliant flames. None of their dangerous mana penetrated his barrier, as he was leagues beyond power levels such as theirs, but something felt off. As the beams crashed against his flames, he could sometimes feel the wind of their impact rush against his face, which wouldn't have happened under normal circumstances.

Louie looked at his hand and narrowed his eyes slightly, thinking to himself. What sort of sorcery is this? It feels...

"Weak, are you?" the Head Priest smiled, "Sinners and those with evil in their hearts will cower before the might and judgment of God. Your sorcery won't be nearly as destructive in this holy place, sorcerer!"

Louie glared at them, letting his barrier of flames smother to nothing. "Evil?" he scoffed, "Nonsense. I'm only taking what's rightfully mine."

The Head Priest hardened his stare and rose his voice angrily. "You mean to tell me that God's treasures are your own?!"

"I mean to tell you everything in this world and the next is meant for my taking. This Holy Water is only one thing I want, so I'm going to take it. You have no right or power to refuse me, couchon!" Louie rebuked, his voice harsh and haughty.

The Head Priest was baffled for a moment, hesitant to respond. But as his lower-priests prepared for the next attack and the altar boys readied their daggers, a smirk came across his face. "Bless you, sorcerer, but I'm afraid it is I and the worshippers of this Church who has the advantage. If you leave at once, you can repent in the town prison for your crimes against Cedar and God." he said confidently, speaking in his wholesome tones like a grandfather to their grandchildren. Louie paused. The Head Priest was right—he did have the advantage in numbers, but what were pigs to do against a wolf, even if it was weakened?

"This conversation was entertaining, but I don't have time to dawdle with you zealous fools. A man such as myself is too far above you to mingle for much longer." Louie frowned, holding out his hand again and instantly sending everyone except the High Priest up in flames. The church was suddenly full of the agonizing screams of believers, all perishing before the statue of their savior. "Even a match can start wildfires, couchon. Perhaps if you weren't so foolish to stay here, you might've lived like the rest of this Cedar trash." The Head Priest looked around in a panic, watching his only advantage reduce to ash and smithereens. Meanwhile, Louie picked up the jug of tainted water again, looking at it with a smirk.

"Drinking that water is a sin! It is tainted and no longer a treasure of God! You are damning your soul by doing this, sorcerer!" The Head Priest shouted, yelling at Louie from below.

The young blonde kept looking at the water, seeing his reflection in its sanguine liquid. Good God, he looked gorgeous, especially when about to consume even greater power! When he saw his reflection, his smirk became almost taunting. "I don't believe that there is a God so powerful that they could damn me. Before I kill you, priest, I'll grace you with the only truth you'll ever hear. Benevolent, am I not?"

"As a follower of God, I am won't be afraid of your sorcery! He will protect me from your evil!" he chastised Louie, screaming at him at the top of his ancient lungs.

"If you ever want to be in paradise, it's what you must create on your own. There is no greater evil than believing in others when they are destined to be nothing. You are about to die before your God and nothing will save you! Do you know why?" Louie glared at the priest, drinking the tainted water and feeling it fill his stomach, invigorate his spirit and pulsate through his veins. It was similar to the rush he got from his blood-pact with Lady Twilight, and he knew this feeling meant he had achieved another power. The water ran down his smirking mouth, and he'd toss away the jug so that it smashed against the floor, shattering into pieces as he approached the disheveled Head Priest.

    "Stay back, sorcerer!—"

Louie grabbed the Head Priest's throat, squeezing it with a dangerous tightness. His crimson eyes glared at his dark ones, holding him up in the air with uncanny strength. "God cannot contest with me! A germ like you isn't even fit to heed my name, so I will send you to the other side this! I am Prada, and I will pluck each and every flower from this nation until I have made a Garden of Eden on Earthland! Do you understand, couchon?! I am no sorcerer! You will die in front of your God's eyes and He can do nothing to stop me! Rien!"

The Head Priest grabbed Louie's wrists, squeezing them with all of his strength as he was strangled. Even then, he managed to choke out some words. "P—Prada... you will... be doomed to—to eternal... damnation! The sorcerers of this land... have God's blessing! You will perish before them—"

    Cwish!

Abruptly, the Head Priest began to harden. The throat which that was being crushed by Louie's flawless hand began to turn to... gold? In fact, it had begun to spread to the rest of his body like a virus, turning everything hard and golden. "M—My body!..." the Priest stifled out in a panic.

Despite never having seen this either, Louie didn't look away from the Head Priest, continuing to glare spitefully in his eyes. "Mourir, couchon!"

    Thud!

After the Head Priest's body had completely turned to gold, Louie dropped him from his grip. Surrounding him were the burnt corpses of the lower-priests and altar boys, and in the center of their anguish was none other than their leader, who died with an agonizing expression hardened on their countenances. How fitting.

William stepped forward from the shadows and had apparently watched all of this unfold indifferently. "The car is ready, Mr. Klein."

Louie was silent for a moment and then began to laugh at the massacre that he was viewing. The palms of his hands were golden but didn't hurt. "So the rumors were true. This trip to Cedar wasn't fruitless after all. Charming." Louie's smirk became serpentine, and his eyes filled with desire. He whipped around and walked towards the statue of God, placing his hand on it and beginning to slowly turn it to gold, watching it with a taunting expression. "This nation will know of me and my wonders! I, Louie Calvin Klein, will surpass even the most faithful of Gods! It is my truth! My fate! Not even you can stop me. I refuse to stay on the sidelines on my own stage—my own destiny. These priests were nothing but stepping stones on my path to glory, and you too will be a witness to that."

The statue was golden now, and although glimmering beautifully in the colorful light through the painted glass, the church was now extravagantly eerie. Suddenly, Louie's face turned sour as he walked past William, grabbing his designer jacket that hung from his arms.

"Everything that I am now and will become is because of me. You had no part in it. Any sort of God or contender can kiss my ass."

With that, Louie and William left Cedar, and would make haste back to Magnolia.
