Personality: Ryou is a humbled, head-in-the-clouds young adult who strives to see the good in everyone and everything. While he has tendencies to be a tad naive, he isn't exactly clueless. Ironically enough, he carries the disposition of a somewhat "subtle extrovert", gladly accepting company around him and willing to approach practically anyone - however although he is quite charming, he often gets inside of his own head and displays restraint in fear of rejection or comparison... his father being the one to blame for this inferiority complex. Regardless of his struggles, though, he is most comfortable around others. He truly believes that although some people can be deceiving, cold, and overtly materialistic, everyone was made for sociality and partnership (perhaps some of that naiveness kicking in)... and even though friendships are fleeting, that certainly won't stop him from establishing them.

Casually, Ryou is an easy-going soul, yet in battle he tends to instantly drop his logical thinking processes and feed into impulse, mostly out of panic and adrenaline. Due to being a practitioner of Celestial Magic [hopefully, w.i.p], he thrives in team settings and the idea of relying on others for success is a normalized concept for him, even in areas of life outside of battle. However, had Ryou continued to live in the regal city of Crocus with his parents, his father would be disgusted with such behavior. Being an astute member of the Rune Knights, Ryou's father would try again and again to train Ryou in the ways of soldier-hood and even different forms of Requip Magic to instill the concept of solitary strength and self-sustenance to his son. But regardless of the amount of training that began at a young age, it simply didn’t click.

As a child, Ryou's morals naturally aligned more with his mother, who was not a wizard and very much a pacifist. He had developed a soft heart as he grew older, and despite how much of a disappointment he had been to his dad as a failed Rune Knight “Squire” of sorts, Ryou bottled up the emotions of suffering rejection and set out on his own, and has never second guessed that decision since.

✧ Grooming / Self-Care; Hailing from the capital from a semi-prestigious family, Ryou values his outward appearance and tends to do as much as possible to look presentable.
✧ Studying Magic; Albeit not the strongest of men, Ryou finds strength in mental capacities, and he believes the true potentials of magic lie hidden in its whispers.
✧ Traveling; Ryou sees different places as opportunities to improve not only your understanding of culture, but as the ability to establish connections with others that could come in handy down the road.

Dislikes:
✧ Arrogance/Overconfidence; Living as the son of a Knight his whole life, pride was very much an element Ryou had to witness and actually feel the repercussions of often in his younger years.
✧ Hot Foods; Although silly, the young adult simply cannot handle steaming meals as he finds them troublesome and impossible to enjoy.
✧ Bugs; Bugs…… crawling, antennas… that’s the only justification he needs to despise the bothersome creatures.
